Her flowers are continuing to bulk up and are covered in glistening trichomes. She appears to be just starting to fade which is exactly what I'm hoping to see, meaning that she's just about used up the nutrients in her medium and all she'll be getting is straight water from here on out. I watered today with 0.75g of de-chlorinated water which was then ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉ turned her pot and shot a few pictures of her. 10/6- Today I watered her with 0.75g of her usual straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and turned her pot. She's definitely starting to fade, is still stacking her flowers, bulking up and has an incredible amount of trichomes which I'm beginning to monitor daily. 10/8- The routine of watering every other day continues like clockwork. Yesterday was a 'no water' day and I did a basic check over of the plant, removed a couple of yellowed lower leaves and turned her pot. Today she got the usual 0.75g of straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and had her pot turned. I've also begun to check her trichome development with a digital USB microscope to try to identify the ideal harvest time which will be in roughly two weeks +/- but you never know... It always pays to let the trichomes tell you when it's time to harvest, not the breeder as they are only giving an approximate time due to the numerous factors that can affect the time of harvest. 10/10- Well, Week Seven has come, gone and we're one week closer to this girl finishing up! She's so freaking frosty now and starting to fade that she'll be testing my patience this week! I know from experience, good things come to those who wait... then wait a bit more. I anticipate that she'll be ready by the end of next week but we'll monitor her trichomes and let them be the guide... I can't wait! 🤩 I've cut the wattage back on the HLG 650R to 500w at the wall now to simulate the way that sunshine becomes weaker as fall approaches due to the lower angle of the sun in the sky. This helps outdoor plants to know that winters on the way and they need to hurry up and complete their life cycle. Cutting the wattage back creates the same effect on the indoor plants, especially when coupled with lowered temperatures in the tent. I have also noticed that her water uptake has slowed. After her heavy watering on the 8th, her pot still had some weight to it and she was looking great so I went ahead and skipped watering her today, watering her tomorrow at lights on with her usual. Enjoyed growing these two plants. they responded well with lst & I defoliated them a lot along the grow. One of them did bulked more than the other, but I’m happy with the end result 💪🌱

In this week i decided to only give them another startbooster which contains some rootstimulator. Some days after feeding with startbooster, i gave them some water. There are still so many kinds of nutrients in the soil. The plants look a little light green, i have been checking my run-off water and it should be fine( still higher EC then i used to have but i have already explained why it is that way). I'm not overwatering so it's not a (N)itrogen problem which can most of the time results into light green leaves. ( when there is no nitrogen in the soil the roots will not or barely take any water(nutrients) I had the same thing with other sativas in the past, behind the window before and in later stages it got solved. I still have to remind myself that it is a fun-outside-grow so i should'nt complain about low humidity(40-45) which should be 85%, temperature 20-21 degrees which should be 26-27, being behind a glas window instead of better exposure to the sunlight or lamps, not having fans on it to get better firm stems or closer lightsource so they don't stretch that much. For now i start getting them used to the sunlight by carefully putting them in shade places or with a few hours sunlight. It went well but except for the bigger pot plant, you can see on the highest leaf that it got a little bit curly but still not a big issue. I might buy some Canna Cure this week. Canna cure is good against insects, molts and such. It also holds some nutrients. Very usefull for outside growing. Since i don't want to overwater or overfeed my plants because i want them to root alot, this might be a solution to give them some extra nutrients, it also makes the leaves more green. When the plants are getting bigger and more thick i want to start doing LTS, i order to do so i just have a little bit time left to bully them a bit with keeping them dry for rooting. I don't want to do that while doing LTS. Don't mind the temperature meter, its not 32 degrees outside. It was still inside behind the window between the curtains. It hotter there. ( might also be the reason for some stretch in the plants)

I made these seeds myself, letting the Male pollinating the Female in the same tent. I dropped pollen with a paintbrush on 2 different occasions, then shook the male over the female a couple times as well. Harvested most the seeds after the female plant died of thirst, around Bloom Day 65-67, but some earlier around Bloom day 53-55. These seeds were soaked then direct sowed. Originally using 6 seeds but settled on 10. Success germination rate of 100%. Bred by Dark Horse Genetics, purchased Chem Berry D from Parkland Flowers then reproduction by moi. Who knows where this project will go. I collected a whole bunch of seeds, they seem to be very healthy.

I got a few seeds from the hermie Purple Maroc, but most of the buds seem dense but small. I planned on smushing a bunch of the lower buds, but it didnt work, so I have a bunch of poorly trimmed buds to give to friends :)

Flo +43 I had a small problem of root rot, I had to clean the roots with hydrogen peroxide and empty the tank several times. they have suffered a little and the harvest will be affected. From now on, I will use hydrogen peroxide from seed to harvest to avoid root rot and bacteria. I will not be able to use organic fertilizer anymore. do you know an alternative to Roots Excelurator from House & Garden? (i guess it's organic ...)

Northern Dragon Fuel has been growing good. She has gotten really hungry m, which caused my ph to start tracking upward. I have flushed it back down, and increased feed. Beside that it looks like flowering is right around the corner. We are going to continue on with tying and tucking and spreading. I cannot wait to see what suprises this strain has, as I get the feeling her true colors will be wild. This week I also show the HydroHalo system I have installed to better assist with watering these girls under the net. There is a 5 gallon bucket with lid as resivior, tubing, T fittings x2, valves x2, a small submersible water pump, air pump with hose and air stone in the resivior to keep it aerated.
