Day 1, Week 4 of Flower – Things Are Getting Real We’ve officially hit day 1 of week 4 in flower, and it’s starting to get real in here! Buds are growing fast, stacking up nicely, and the aromas are straight fire — it's getting stinky in the best way. The terps are really coming through now. PPMs are sitting steady at around 1000, pH is hovering around 5.8, and everything’s been pretty dialed in on the feed side. I do wish I had defoliated a lot more before flipping. Honestly, my whole training kind of went sideways when I switched to flower. I went a little too hard with the LST, and now I’ve got a jungle of leaves with loads of bud sites — way more than I expected. It looks like a big bushy mess up top with some nice buds, but quite a few lowers aren’t getting the light they need. I’ve said this before, but I won’t say it again — lesson learned. Next round, I know exactly how I’m going to approach training, and I won’t be making the same mistakes. But all in all, things are still looking good. If everything keeps going as it is, I’m hoping to pull around 7 ounces of some solid, dank smoke

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend. This Purple Punch didn't break soil until 4 days from getting wet. I ended up with a slightly mutated Purple Punch Seedling as she has 3 Cotyledons instead of 2. I have friends who have had this and they told me they turned out just fine yield and terp wise just really based more on the phenotype than the fact that it was genetically mutated. She is in a Solo Cup in ProMix/Perlite under the Spectrum X at 30% Power which is 230 Watts in V1 or Veg Mode. Very happy so far with the light as it is keeping all nodes tight and all leafs green and pointed upwards. I will also this Purple Punch's roots to fill the solo cup and then I will transplant her into a final 3.4 gallon airpot and hook her up to an auto feeding halo coming from a reservoir. When a plants roots are just fertigated in soil they are lacking in oxygen until some drying takes place. In Coco Coir, they have the perfect ratio of H20/Oxygen just after watering and as long as the Coir stays somewhat saturated. This is why high frequency fertigation pays off in coco coir. My plan is to top her one time by day 28 or so at the latest, or at least before she starts flowering, so whatever node that will be depends on her growth between now and then. Very sticky the gorilla glue it ended up with oil leaking from the buds i believe that was due to genetics and a new terpene booster im using which helps with the plant producing more oils and terpenes, rosin all though it took almost ten weeks for this plant to flower it turned out great i will be growing this again as i have seeds on the way already

Using common sense

In all honesty I'm not sure if I got the nutrients dialed in . I tested runoff and it was all within range of soiless mixes , calibrated my ph meter every watering as I thought maybe that's why I was getting yellowing leaves . They are still growing and budding rapidly and seemingly on par with what I've seen with others in like mediums so I'm trying not to worry too much . My carbon filter shit the bed already so my Mrs isnt happy with me today as my whole basement wreaks . The plants went from not too bad to wicked bad smelling within a couple days . I've been defoliating but do you think I should do more ?

6/13/2023 Week 10- Day 1 of Flower (Day 131 overall) (Day 70 of Flower) Auto Pilot Day 6.. Checked the Trichomes and the bud density and both are looking good.. Definitely needs a little more time for the Trichomes to be where I like, so based on my check I think we are still looking right around the end of the competition 22June to be done and ready for harvest. I do like that the fade is coming in the leaves nicely, so my chart I think is dropping off the Nitrogen exactly like it is supposed to. 6/14/2023 Week 10- Day 2 of Flower (Day 132 overall) Auto Pilot Day 7.. Decided I would take some contrasting pics today with my light up to 100 and my light all the way on Dim. The reason why they are going to get light instead of dark is when I was taking out the netting a lot of the buds were so heavy they fell over and exposed some areas I really want to get some light to... so 48 hours of light at 40% while I watch what should be a beautiful final fade as the plant eats up the last Nutes. If anything goes wrong I can abort take the photos and cut so will pay really close attention to how it is looking over the next 48 hours. Added 30 Gallons of PH only Water. Reduced Lighting to 40% removed program time off. 48 hours of light. 6/17/2023 Week 10- Day 5 of Flower (Day 135 overall) (Day 75 of Flower) I had someone tell me that a few growers had done as I did and Gone Armageddon on the plants. Filling it with PH only and said the plants did not respond well and they were taken out of the comp at the very end because they felt like the pictures just wouldn't come out right. Even though I did go Armageddon, The PPM is at 353PPM with the residue of what was left in the buckets after draining as well as what I am getting from the TAP so I think they are doing good but I am checking them every few hours to see how they seem to be doing and I think they are doing good still and are on track. I also started prepping the area for the pics tomorrow T-24 Hours until Chop 6/18/2023 Week 10- Day 6 of Flower (Day 136 overall) (Day 76 of Flower) (Harvest Day) What a day.. what a day.. what a day.. as I was setting up and trying to figure out how I was going to get my pics #3 stems started breaking, it fell over and other stems broke.. So no really stunning competition photo for her, she had such a nice purple fade.. #2 stayed up in the Tent so that is the one I had to go with to submit for the contest. I wet trimmed them as they went into the tent and they took up three rows hanging in tent. I also decided I wanted to try some so I put a little in the freeze dryer for a 48 hour smoke test.. I will weigh it and add that to my total weight for the plants when it is all done.

Well, well, here we are at week 4 and doing my best to keep up with this diary. I truly enough it but I'm also a blessed dad with lots of kids. But the plant is looking very well and will have photos, and even another video coming along with this week.

So week 2 was a bit of a fuck up, I think. The scrog went into flower and by the end of week 1, it was looking far to busy and leafy, zero light was getting through so I decided to thin down a little. Also I wasn't happy with how the scrog was over developing, so I took away the net and allowed them some free growth and little more spread across the canopy. I think this work stressed them a little, who knows?? Ideally I should have given them a far more comprehensive prune a week before flower, alas I didn't so here I am. This weekend will mark 3 weeks of flower, and apart from the prune I've seriously left alone and will have for a couple weeks, so this weekend they will get some serious defoliation and probably a few straggler tops will be removed to thin down a little. After this weekend, again, just feed and monitor. So looks like I was just being a bit of a drama queen, the plants are doing superbly as I near wk 3, lots and lots of colas. I will be thinning these as needed whilst I prune by taking out any stragglers. I've also added back in some boost nutes just to help overcome any stress I may have caused. I've also raised the lights slightly to reduce stress at this important stage. Last one for this week, all plants fully defoliated which I'm stoked about, no problems, I think I'll need the odd support cane since a binned the scrog, but apart from that not much else left to do other that monitor all aspects to make sure of no silly mistakes.
