This week I decided it was time to employ some LST. Really I should have just done LST and not topped them, aside from the largest one which responded well. They weren't putting out fast enough growth to take to topping well, and I've learned my lesson. That's why my autos haven't done so well in the past. I'm still learning😬 So in order to get as much as I can out of them as we enter flowering, we're doing a little LST this week. Earlier in the week I did have to bring them in the hoop house on 7/11 because we got a lot of rain that day, our basement flooded and the water got so high in the stream that it washed the bridge out. So I think I made the right decision otherwise they may have gotten lockout. I also changed their feed a bit. I added in some Neptunes Harvest Fish Fertilzer 2-4-1 with the Alaska 5-1-1 in equal portions on the 13th and will continue with it tonight. I may add a little molasses as well. Most of what I was trying to accomplish with each plant is explained in the video. Enjoy!

Should probably start my 2 week flush at the end of this week but I want to harvest this plant and my other one(which is 2.5 weeks behind) at the same time so I'm probably going to try and push the feeding another 2 weeks until I start the final flush, trying to have this stay in flower for 10 weeks, the breeder says flowering period takes 8-10 weeks so I think I'll still be just fine. This week went well, the plants are slowly starting to fade and colors are starting to come out. Gonna follow through with my original plan and continue feeding lightly for the next week or two until I start the final flush. I also raised the lights a bit this week mainly to help and give more light to my second plant that stretched so much its main cola is hitting the grow light, and also to help prevent any foxtailing from occurring.

Week 4: Growth Spurts and New Challenges Continued Growth and Health As we move into the fourth week, the plants are showing impressive growth. Their leaves are a lush, vibrant green, and the stems are becoming stronger. The transition to the larger 11-liter fabric pots has clearly paid off, providing the roots with ample space and better aeration. Adjusting Nutrient Levels Given their positive response to the nutrients, I decided to continue with 2/3 of Terra Aquatica Tripart feeding schedule, adjusting slightly to meet their increasing demands. Here's the updated feeding plan for this week: CalMag: 2.5 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.50 mS/cm) Grow: 1.5 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 0.5 ml/l EC: 1.2 mS/cm (600 ppm PPM-500/TDS) pH: 6.0 Each plant is watered with approximately 20% runoff to ensure there's no nutrient buildup in the coco mix. I will maintain this nutrient level until the pre-flowering stage to avoid the risk of nutrient burn due to over-fertilization. Weather Improvements and Adjustments The weather has been steadily improving, with temperatures expected to rise to around 25°C starting Wednesday, accompanied by abundant sunshine. This upcoming forecast is excellent news for my plants, as I anticipate a final growth spurt before flowering begins. Every centimeter of growth counts at this stage, and I'm optimistic about maximizing their potential under these favorable conditions. Strengthening with Wind Exposure On days with good weather, I move the plants out of the greenhouse to expose them to natural wind. This practice helps strengthen their stems, improving overall stability. Additionally, the wind creates a more challenging environment for pests, helping to keep them at bay. Smart Watering Strategy I only water the plants when the pots feel noticeably lighter. This encourages the roots to search for water, promoting the development of a stronger and more extensive root system. This method helps ensure the plants remain healthy and resilient. Pest Management: Observations and Actions At the beginning of the third week, I noticed dark discolorations on the undersides of some leaves. A few days later, these spots turned into yellow patches. I am still unsure about the cause of these spots. To prevent a potential insect infestation, I sprayed all the leaf surfaces, both top and bottom, with a mildly dosed neem oil mixture. Since then, the spots have not spread further. Because these discolorations are only affecting the lower leaves, they are not causing me significant concern at the moment. Regular inspections and preventive measures are crucial to maintaining the health of the plants and ensuring that any issues are caught early. Decision Against LST At first I have decided against using LST. But some of your comments made me try some LST on two of my plants. I choose Tangie and Gorilla cookies to try out and learn some stuff. Blue dream and Banana purple punch stay without any training. So this week is the start of flower !! Woooohooo finally get to show what I'm made of ! Step one ) take all the big fan leaves Step two ) establish a "light line" and take all small shoots that are unable to get the proper amount of light due to their distance from the top of the canopy. * These are the places we all wish would grow ! These are also the places that are at risk of - hermaphroditism - mold - waste of energy for the plant. ** These are also some of the best places to take clones ** Continue to tie and secure everything in preparation of massize buds ! I hope some people looked at this like " This took way too much off " I took ALOT. Yes I push , I push hard to know how much they can take . Yes I would say 60% of plants DO NOT like a massive defoliating. But, the ones who do , you will unlock a yeild like never seen . It's the risk we take . One thing I have noticed is when I'm gonna defoli , I don't combone high stress or toping + a bunch of other techniques . Should have some pretty huge plants by two months ! So great clonability . The end of week one I have seen very little stretching , in my opinion these could all be considered S1 . Last week of flowering, since couple of days we are only giving water but the last shot of ultra PK did some great work here, she swollen up and got really fat the last weeks. wonderful strain, really generous and easy to grow, vigorous and a really nice old school smell with a sweet mango like touch!

Flower is upon us and now the journal is caught up. I will be giving weekly updates at this point as they happen, playing catch-up is over but I did want to get my journey started on this site. Still a relatively new grower and I have plenty to learn.

Day 71 She is finishing up nicely. I suspect there are one or two more days left and I will cut her down. Pistils are 50% colored, and the trichome heads are all full and white. Lights on 24 hours, cold temps for 48 hours now, the resin production is unreal, and the smell is the strongest ive ever smelled from an autoflower indoors. Professor Bruce Bugbee from the University of Utah, space farming with NASA, shared very interesting research knowledge during a discussion I attended in the USA. I have been using the new techniques I learned to grow even better Cannabis than I did before. I already grew top shelf killer buds, but with Professor Bugbee's techniques and advice if followed correctly will yield the best quality cannabis possible. Day 72 Tomorrow will be her last day, she will be chopped after 96 hours of solid light, and sub 20 degrees temperatures. This is the strongest, most sticky, rock hard bud auto plant ive ever grown. Uploaded some photos when I stopped the light for 3 minutes to capture photos, the buds are incredible! Thanks @Fast_Buds Day 73 Chopped her down, and is dying at 50% humidity and 20 degrees.

I swear every time I LST, within a few hours, they are right back covering the spots I tied down and opened up. I haven't had to give them nutes just yet because of the FoxFarm soil. I try to wait about a month before starting to give nutes after transferring them to this soil bc this soil already has so many nutes in it already. At the rate they're growing, they're likely going to be in need of a feeding very soon. Plan to top GDP2 again in a few days. GDP1 and BK I may top a 3rd time but I haven't decided. I don't want them to get so bushy that the tent becomes too small. And yes I decided I'm not going to LST GDP2. I may tie her down some for light exposure but no bending and tying down like with GDP1 and BK. More updates to come as the week goes. 6/29: I topped GDP2 one more time. I made sure I didn't FIM this time lolol. I topped all 3 new stalks which should give me 6 more, I believe. BK, I defoliated her lightly yesterday, took off a lot of the really large fan leaves. You can't even tell I didn't anything now lolol They're growing big and beautiful especially GDP2 since I've decided not to LST. I did tie down one of her branches though to give more light to other lil potential bud sites. 😍😘😌 6/30: I tested the PPM of the run off water and it's still pretty high even though I haven't added any nutes at all to any of the water I've watered them with. Only pH'ed the water and that's it. I'll be holding off a little longer before feeding them. That FoxFarm Happy Frog soil is no joke... hot hot hot...

So... I may have got baked and had one of those.... "I know what will be a good idea.!" I give you Frankenstoned early Lst lol I know I am a novice and have no right to be messing with things that already exist, and the weighted lst has probably been done many times already but I was having fun, I had a silly stoned idea, and just for shits n giggles, I made it happen, and for me this growing thing has to be fun right? Humour aside, it actually seems to work lol. I find I am a little heavy handed and a bit clumsy trying to tie things down. I recently accidentally snapped one of my criticals branches off so my little system allows me to just lift the wires up and tuck it under at strategic points.. It is quite early to be training I guess but the wire gently pushes down on the stem.. It looks heavy handed but it is actually quite gentle... So let's see if it works or not.. I am only trying it on this 1 subject.. I am expecting for the Mazar to pull up on the weights as it fattens up but I have allowed space on the bolts to add more weight.. Other than this revelation (or massive cock up) lol. The Mazar has been struggling in the heat a bit but surviving.. Let me know your thoughts, happy growing lovely people

Day 120 - Getting closer to harvest day for this lady. She's huge and full of buds towards the top, smaller somewhat fat buds in the middle, and larfy buds at the bottom. I should have lollipopped her 1 or 2 more nodes up, especially for the colas that did not end up stretching as far as the others. Fed the lady water amended per this week's diary. Still seeing white pistils on her main colas so still 2 weeks away or so from harvest. I think this will be her last full nutrient feeding and for her next watering she'll get her last Cal-Mag feeding. I'll probably do 2 more plain water feedings from there and harvest once the soil is dried out after her last plain water feeding. I'm seeing a few of the lower buds of the lowest colas show some spots on the leaves so I just cut those parts off and hung to begin drying. It doesn't appear to be spreading but I'll keep an eye out these next few days. Day 123 - Fed the lady her last Cal-Mag amended feeding. Trichomes are looking more cloudy now on the middle buds. Will give 1 more plain water feeding instead of 2, I want to see how this bud will smoke with minimal flush versus the first lady harvested that was flushed more. Day 127 - Decided to skip completely flushing her to compare versus an over flushed plant. Harvested her today with the soil nice and dry.

Finally at the swelling stage and growing out nicely , this lady has been a joy too grow , no decency's what so ever , she really did stretch in here flower stage going from the size of the Zkittlz plant into a plentiful branched beast she is today stacked with bud sites and let me tell you she smells absolutely amazing ! her buds look frostie already and are starting too swell lovely and there are plenty of them too ,

Day 33 she’s beautiful and flowering and wonderful. I’m really excited for how she’s turning out. I used recycled dirt for the first time ever because they were my last cycle for summer break. But she’s impressing me like always none the less. can’t not wait for her!
