Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.

These two have been grooving. The bigger Bush plant vegged almost a week longer then the other. Only change was raised the nutrients to 1/2 dose. And increasing how often I need to water.its about to be a daily thing . They are hungry. I'm not complaining lol. But let's see how they fill out over the next 21days. Week 18 (30-6 tm 5-7) 30-6 Temperatuur: 31.4 graden (licht aan) 22.5 graden (licht uit) Luchtvochtigheid: 69% (hoogste) 50% (laagste) Ik heb de trichomen bekeken en heb besloten haar nog een dagje langer laten staan. Watergift: Geen. 1-7 Vandaag heb ik de trichomen opnieuw bekeken en die zien er goed uit! Veel cloudy en best wel wat amber. Ik hou echt van deze trichome foto's, echt mind blowing hoe dat er uit ziet! Dus vandaag gaat de schaar er in! 2-7 Ik heb besloten om een wet trim te doen zodat als ze droog is ze gelijk in de cure pot kan. Geloof het of niet, maar ik ben wel 12 uur lang bezig geweest om alles te knippen 😅 Op 1-7 ben ik in de middag begonnen en in de vroege ochtend van 2-7 was ik klaar. Het natte gewicht van de buds is 283 gram, en het natte gewicht van de trim is 61 gram. Ik ben nu al super tevreden met het gewicht! Dit is meer dan het dubbele aan gewicht vergeleken met mijn eerste grow. De buds zien er ook echt mooi uit. Ik schat dat het tussen de 50 en 75 gram droog gaat zijn. Ik ben benieuwd, nu een paar dagen drogen! Droogtent: Temperatuur: 23.4 graden (hoogste) 21.2 graden (laagste) Luchtvochtigheid: 59% (hoogste) 42% (laagste) 3-7 Droogtent: Temperatuur: 23.2 graden (hoogste) 21.5 graden (laagste) Luchtvochtigheid: 50% (hoogste) 41% (laagste) 4-7 Droogtent: Temperatuur: 23.1 graden (hoogste) 22.1 graden (laagste) Luchtvochtigheid: 53% (hoogste) 46% (laagste) 5-7 Na 3 dagen is ze droog genoeg om te curen. Wel heb ik iets te lang gewacht want de LV in de jar geeft nu 57% aan. Ik hoop dat dit over een dag wat om hoog gaat. Nu een paar weken curen en dan kom ik met de rook verslag 😁 Ik zal binnenkort ook even berekenen wat de gram per watt is, aangezien ik de lamp niet de gehele grow op 100% had staan. Het droge gewicht van de buds is precies 75 gram, en het droge gewicht van de trim is 19 gram. Samen maakt dat 94 gram! (De trim gebruik ik om een CBD cake of bubble hasj te maken) Ik wil iedereen bedanken voor het volgen van dit avontuur! Tot de volgende keer!

Things are going alright with these girls. One of them is keeping up with the other strains in the tent, while the other two have been consistently pretty small. Not a big deal though, all flowering out now. Seeing some color come through, which is pretty neat! Not going to yield much, but hopefully will like the end product!

They are loving bein in the ground. Can't wait til the fall😁😁. All goin smooth and the ladies are exploding. Based on what these strains are doin indoor, I'm gonna be in heaven come October. Debating finding space to put the 3 pots in the ground.

On day 1 I adjusted the PH from 6.6 to 6.2. The tallest cola is 13.75" away from light. On day 2 I adjusted the PH from 6.4 to 6.2. The tallest cola is 12.5" away from light. On day 3 the PH is 6.2. The tallest cola is 11.5" from the light. On day 4 I didn't take data points long day... On day 5 the rez PH is 6.2. the tallest cola is 10" from the light. On day 6 the rez PH is 6.0. The tallest cola is 9.5" from the light. I defoliated heavily to bring in more light and airflow. On day 7 The tallest cola is 9" from the light. I mixed up a new rez.

She has done well throughout the vegetation she has many five fingered leaves and a few seven fingered despite the harsh conditions she is holding up well receiving around 300 to 400 mls of water each week and the substrate left with at least 15% in it. She suffered a little bit of light burn and likes the distance kept at 50cm. At the end of the vegetation the double kush cake’s canopy has split wide open and she now stands approximately 50cm from the soil.

7/19 Rained all last night. Weather report says it will be rainy for several days. I "suited up" did some slight defoliation and fed two gallons to the garden. Still need to apply BT and get inside and prune with clippers. I'm hesitant due to this huge rash but I need to find a way to do this. Plants look good just need to be cleaned up. 7/20 No water as it's been pretty rainy. Thunderstorms tonight and rain tomorrow. I'll have to wait to apply either Spinosid or BT (as a preventative). I took down the tarps on the back. The wind isn't bad. Usually it's like a wind tunnel but I think this was the right decision. They are still attached at the bottom so the cam go back up quick if high winds come. Considering top dressing with cow manure. It's what I have on hand. I also need to find time to defoliate inside the plants. I'll have to do it when it's wet I guess to avoid the moths. I saw nests at my girlfriend's house on a bunch of apple trees so maybe I got this rash there. I hope so. 7/21 I watered despite some of the soil being damp. It MIGHT rain today but even if it does it wouldn't REALLY give my plants the water they are used to. I also cut some branches inside the plants. I have a lot more to do though. I found a brown-tail moth caterpillar crawling on the soil of one of those buckets outside my cage. Leaving his little poisonous hairs behind. I killed it with fire. I'll update after I spray and/or prune. Humidity is 98% today 70 degrees at 9am. "I'm going to need a bigger boat." 7/22 I put the tarps back up after finding the tall unsupported plant looked all blown over. I removed it from the cage. It's a 30 gallon tote so it opened up my area a little more. I watered this morning as it's supposed to be a nice sunny hot day. Later I plan to LST that seedling that I just left in the 30 gallon tote and kinda neglected. At least I didn't show it the love I had the clones. It's in reveg as well (the only one) and I'm questioning whether it might have a better home elsewhere. I'll check it out when I go for my evening inspection. Looks like possible thunderstorms tonight so I don't know if spraying is feasible. Thank you to all who have been following and helping me on this journey. Much cooler than it has been 65 degrees at 10:30am. 7/23 Watered this morning. I also did some defoliation and pruned lower limbs. I need a night without rain so I can continue with my IPM. I see pillar damage so it will probably be BT that I use. I weed Wacked around the cage this morning and was planning to feed but I ran out of time. The girls will have to wait until tomorrow to eat. The garden looks very healthy as a whole. Slight issues here and there but nothing an outdoor grower wouldn't expect. It's been a great year for growing cannabis thus far! I'll do another video once I get the cage weed Wacked. 7/24 Watered slightly before I Fed two gallons to the garden. Still have leaves turning yellow and falling off but I think its normal. At least the same thing happened the last two years right around this time. Plants have EXPLODED in growth and look great. The stretch is real. I took a minute video that might or might not upload. Took a few pictures too. Internet is pretty slow so I'll probably have to upload pics tomm. Reached the 80s today. Nice and sunny. Oh and walking down to the garden is like getting punched in the face by a skunk lol. The smell is incredible. 7/25 No water as it is supposed to rain today and they drank pretty good yesterday. Still need to defoliate a bit. A few of the seedlings are reveging. That's ok though. I hate seeing leaves die but looking at my previous diary (and the paper one before that) it seems to happen the same time of year right when the stretch starts. For the most part the garden is in preflower so I may start the next week as flower. I also STILL need to spray preventative. I don't really have a problem (besides slight pm and a few random critters but hey it's outdoors) but I need to keep up with the IPM. Im super happy with progress this far.
