Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. She is short but damn she packs a punch. Bushiest plant I’ve had. Bottom 1/3 has reveg issues. Some dead/brown calyx closest around the stem. Cleanup is a bitch but I want to keep the bottom 1/3 weed as personal

Day 152 from seed ( 98 days since I changed photoperiod) and I'm harvesting after one week flush. A few buds seemed to have started decaying inexplicably, like burned, and had acquired a grayish- brownish coloration that I didn't like at all. I think she's caught a fungus. Besides I also think spider mites have done they job well because I was amazed at the extent they had sucked the sap on almost every leaf of the plant, fan leaves mostly. They have weakened the plant so much that she may be int he process of a more terrible thing that could be fungi. Back to spider mites, it is indeed nasty to see the damage this pest has done so far, because I see they have chewed almost -if not all- leaves, and fortunately they hadn't started to form webs, which I abhore seeing. I had started to see adult spider mite forms into the very inside of buds, while I was inspecting the thricomes, so before this nasty pest would eat up my precious buds, or any other cause (mold, etc) I took the decision to flush and harvest her progressively. First I'd harvest the most ripen buds or those that show signs of decaying and leave to the end the most immature (those that were far from lights, which are terminal and very big and dense though a but immature and bright green. The plant looked overall ready and I preferred to harvest the most bud I could, as you may imagine, but I would have liked another week for flushing more thoroughly. I've been flushing with tapwater and 2 mL/L Flawless Finish from Advanced Nutrients. In the next few days I'll be finishing her completely, drying won't take long and as for curing I think a couple of weeks. The smell in the room is really heavy (in fact it has been heavy for the last month), it stinks oif citrus here.

Day 165 14/10/24 Monday De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 with calmag today Starting to see new growth showing no signs of new seeds!! She is spitting out new pistils again, I may run nutes for this week then flush , as trichomes are looking clear still with only spots of cloudy. Picture's (over exposed to light) 📸 Day 167 16/10/24 Wednesday Feed today 😁 using de-chlorinated tap water phd to 6.3. Her pistils keep maturing rapidly, but then I check twice a day and each time I check, they look either orange and almost showing finished signs... Then she slaps out another round of pistils and trichomes are coming cloudy still. She may well be a 12 week flower. I'll keep feeding till I see majority cloudy. Picture and video update 📸💚 Day 168 17/10/24 Thursday (End of week) Damn!!! Found two tops, overnight turn brown hairs, and sugar leaves yellow and dry. Needless to say two tops had been attacked by mould. After a heavy detailed inspection of plant, it is only these two tops. So I have removed, bagged and hoping now no new mould is spotted 🤦‍♂️ Rest of the plant looks and smells fantastic 💚 I have update pictures and a video 📸💚 Day 169 18/10/24 Friday Damn, she has lost another 2 tops due to mould. I'm gutted, so to stop any further disappointment, I am chipping her tonight before lights on 💚✌️ Note to self- lesson learned when doing Scrog, Lollipop MORE. I have left too much on and it has reduced airflow causing humidity to stay above 62%.

So starting the 3rd week of flower. All but one plant speeding ahead towards dank. The lights below LED continue at a fast pace, I think it’s the most pistils I’ve seen firing out all over place this early. However one of the OS below the HPS isn’t feeling this groove and is developing at a slower rate. The plants that are being hit by both lights are gonna be fat!!!!! The forming buds are coming together quickly and big, they look swollen before they’ve swollen if ya know what I mean.🤔😂 I love week 3 of flower its where I always hit my plants with Hydrotops Triple F. It’s not a new product I’m using however I am using it in conjunction with two of their other products this time which is supposed to be the ideal way to benefit the plants when using Triple F. Development has seemed quicker during this grow especially from the period of switching the light cycle up to now. I’m happy. Temperature still a problem though a bit. Looking awesome going through week 3. But one plant is so much slower than the rest, I think she stretched a little too much when it was time. It still looks very strong and is covered with flower sites but they’re just not developing at a rate anything like her sisters flowers. The phantom OG in there with them are super fast. Maybe that’s making the Orange seem slower to me too🤔😂 all looking great in there anyway and am loving every moment I get to get in there with my girls. Very productive 3rd week 3 out of 4 growing at an accelerated rate, the 4th is looking fine too, well looking great actually but a lot slower with flower development.

I think I'm off to a good start. This is the roughest part of a grow for me so far. One thing that I learned from my past killings was to not get obsessive and that's the approach. I've got a way better understanding of feeding now. I was confused about feeding charts, thinking that it was mix and feed. Even though I checked the PH and PPM (incorrectly a few times) I'd consistently fry my plants to near death, bring them back with plain, proper ph'd water and then re-fry the next feeding. It hadn't dawned on me that the nutrient mix while being in the optimal PH range, mixed in right order and correct measurements, my PPM/EC was way too high for the stage of the plant. Yikes, I was feeding a toddler 3 double Whoppers with extra everything. And XL fries. You burn and learn I guess. The little girl was starting to look hungry so I took a shot and fed light nutrients with some hydrogen peroxide (will update the chart soon getting sleepy). I also punched a lot more holes in the bottom of the solo cup. Few hours later her leaves perked up like she was giving me a high five. Leaves are looking good too with a PPM of about 211. It's going to be a warmer weekend so I figure I'll crack another seed and put my 5 gallon pot to use. Possibly a photoperiod?

I changed my tent this week, the lamp and the Mars Hydro extractor convinced me that it was good gear so I took the tent in + 😀 Pulling all the branches with ropes is way too much work... My second growroom is built and the girls have moved in. And I also added some more nutes to her menu, 2018-02-03 Added some pics of the grow room after I cleaned the floor and putting the girls back in, and also added a video of the reality of a grower having some problems with too high pH-level. Since I'm still a novice growing cannabis I learn new things everyday, and hopefully the next round will be more or less perfect - perfection needs practice.

30.12.24: So I finally became brave enough last night to use LST on my grow for the first time. Watermelon 🍉 is doing much better than the other plants were at this stage, and still better than one that's 7 weeks old already! I'm very pleased with this strain and phenotype so far. I looked at the trichomes with my loupe, but I still couldn't see much amber. I'll have another look with a microscope in a few days and decide if I chop this week. The trichomes have matured somewhat compared to last week, but I still prefer to see a bit more amber.
