UPDATE - sat 6th March Doing good for first week. The change of light made all the difference. One is a hempy that I am going to add some worm castings and I’m already adding loads of microbes so it should buffer the ph for me. UPDATE - Monday I ordered some worm castings so I can mix it with my coco and perlite, as well as a few other goodies so I can treat a hempy more like a soil grow but get the benefits of the passive hydro system. I’ll probably use around 10%. I’m still waiting for my fan and my microbial product that is made by the same people as charge. It looks great. Loads of ph buffering microbes to munch on the vermicompost and enable me to get away without spending 60-70 on a ph meter.

Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. Plants are fading slowly and naturally, I won't need to flush. Checking the trichomes every 4 days, the crop will probably need another 2-3 weeks. All plants are running on water now till the end. Looks like she'll be growing some serious leaves, some solar panels to soak up all that light. She'll be staying indoors just incase the Blueberry OG ends up being an outdoor male.

Day 16 Friday 17/05/24 Feed today. Seeing beautiful nice growth, will start LST this week. Day 18 Sunday 19/05/24 Water today with calmag Nice development, nodes forming, will start LST before end of week. Happy and healthy, she's coming along strong 💪💚 Day 21 End of week 23/05/24 Light water with calmag. She really has taken veg well. Fat fan leaves, soaking up the hps 600. Shes super happy and healthy. I will doing soil top up tomorrow and start LST with a feed.

This week went by well, I will start checking the trichomes on the Runtz at the end of this week. It should be ready for harvest in the next 2 to 3 weeks The G13 is still smelling like magic, looking majestic. The GDP buds are starting to put on weight

I lost almost all my photos on my phone due to my storage being full so I don't have any of my harvest photos but I will try growing this strain again outdoor next year but I'll make sure to start my IPM before I have big issues next season 😅 I would recommend anybody to try growing some gps gg4 s1 the plant was started in late February and wasn't harvested until almost Halloween (Oct 24th) so all in all she did well,zero seeds and I stressed this plant to the max during early veg,late veg and early flowering so definitely has amazing stress resistance

These pictures are from week 1 to week 5 of veg. I didn't waste no time working these plants pulling and topping and defoliation. I started with 2 plants and I belive I just stressed the one out so much it stunted the growth in the pictures you can tell a high difference in size. I ended up getting rid of the smaller plant. The one thing that I learned about the bigger plant is that it loved being at a ph of 5.5 it ate so much more and grew so much faster then if it was at 5.8-6.0ph. The veg stage was a great learning experience for me.

The plants were so crowded I decided to put them into a Larger tent to allow some light to the lower bud sites and to help lower the humidity amongst the plants. I'm sure they will love the extra space. The light has now been raised 20cm (20cm taller tent) Allowing me to turn out right up which is 45000 lux in the centre right below it. I will up the bloom to 2ml/l this coming week.

Black opium has done really well. She stretched a lot since last week. One of the 2 tops has grown taller, even though I've tied it down, but they are reaching towards the light, and the buds are developing quite nicely. So let's see what she can do! No water this week. The soil is still drying out due to fungus gnats appearing. I am getting some sticky traps, just waiting for tgem to arrive. There are so many, and it's definitely come from the soil. We’re now fully in production mode!🔥 The stretch is definitely done, and she’s putting all her energy into bud development. The trichomes are multiplying nicely, and the smell is becoming more and more intense, fresh lemon with a subtle sweet twist.🍋🍬 The bud structure is quite different from what I’m used to, more airy and elongated, kind of sativa-like. Curious to see how this one finishes up. Still healthy, still cruising, let’s see what next week brings!

Week 10: Post-Transplant Recovery, Storm Shielding & DP6 Explodes! Growth Stage: Vegetative Strains: Durban Poison (DP1 DP4 DP5 DP6) ​🌿 Week Recap & Overview ​What a massive and busy week for the Durban crew. We kicked things off with a major milestone over Mother's Day weekend, executing the big transplant project to move the main Durban Poison quartet into their massive, permanent 25-gallon containers. It required mixing up a mountain of soil and some serious muscle to get all that custom 50/50 potting and organic garden soil blend ready, but the squad knocked it out perfectly. ​ Just as the girls were settling into their new shoes, the High Plains threw a classic wrench in the gears with a heavy May storm. We immediately pivoted into full frost-protection protocol. Thanks to the custom DIY furniture dollies, we were able to keep those heavy 25-gallon stations mobile. We bundled them down with sheets, lined them with hot water bottles for ambient heat, and shielded them securely from the elements. ​The strategy paid off beautifully. The plants survived the storm completely unscathed, showing incredible resilience. ​📐 Growth & Development ​The Comeback Queen (DP6): The absolute highlight of the week. DP6 has officially shed the "runt" title and undergone a massive growth spurt. She has charged right up to the front line and is now running as one of the true leaders of the pack! ​DP5: Sitting strong and vibrant at 11 inches tall. Her canopy is lush, tight, and pushing out healthy, wide fan leaves with great node spacing. ​The 25-Gallon Quartet (DP1 DP4 DP5 and DP6): Recovering beautifully from the transplant and weather stress. The root systems are already exploring their massive new footprint, and the main stalks are thickening up nicely. ​🛠️ Garden Upgrades & Routine ​Irrigation: The DIY dual-timer irrigation manifold is fully built and ready to rock. The custom-drilled hose rings are set up for individual zones, which is going to make dialing in moisture levels for those massive 25-gallon pots an absolute breeze. ​Nutrients & IPM: Sticking to the organic regimen, utilizing FOOP organic nutrients, Veg/Sweetener formulas, and sea kelp tonics to help them bounce back from transplant shock and the cold snap. The African Marigold "security team" is strategically placed and on high alert to keep whiteflies and aphids away from the fresh new growth.

Growing LSD25 in a very small space of 5" x 5" x 10". Plant is to grow it discreetly and get single cola weighing 5-7grams at least.

Its really taken off 😊 just typical feeding routine of some nutes and just top dressed them to hopefully keep in some more moisture and help the roots expand. They've got so big I don't have much room so I just defoliate them when I can. They're all starting to smell really good 😋 just hard to tell with so many branches cramped together lol Happy growing 🌴
