Plants can respond to UV stress by increasing the synthesis of xanthophyll cycle pigments, such as violaxanthin and zeaxanthin, to improve their photoprotective capacity. UV-induced changes in xanthophyll cycle pigments can be linked to a plant's overall tolerance to high radiation stress. The xanthophyll cycle helps protect against photoinhibition, which is especially important when the plant is exposed to high levels of both UV and visible light. High doses of UV radiation can directly damage photosynthetic components, including the proteins, lipids, and pigments in the thylakoid membranes. Exposure to UV radiation can have a mixed effect on the de-epoxidation state (DEPS ratio) of the xanthophyll cycle pigments. In some cases, UV can inhibit the conversion of violaxanthin to zeaxanthin, resulting in a lower DEPS ratio and a reduced capacity for energy dissipation. However, the total pool of xanthophyll cycle pigments may increase, and this enhanced pool size could provide a greater potential for photoprotection despite a lower DEPS ratio. The xanthophyll cycle works alongside other mechanisms, such as the accumulation of flavonoids (UV screens), to protect the plant from UV-induced damage. Blue light repairs 100% UV-induced damage in plants through a process called photoreactivation, which uses a light-dependent enzyme called photolyase. This enzyme uses energy from blue and UV-A light to directly reverse the damaging pyrimidine dimers in the DNA caused by UV-B radiation, a key mechanism for maintaining the plant's genetic integrity. After carbon, light, water, temperature, and nutrients, the limiting factor of a plant's growth is often its own internal factors or the amount of a key ingredient. Chlorophyll concentration is one such factor, as the amount of this pigment limits how much light can be captured for photosynthesis. While protective measures are activated, a high dose delivered over a short period can cause stress that overwhelms the plant's defenses. Photosynthesis is highly sensitive to UV-B. A high dose can inactivate Photosystem II (PSII), damage thylakoid membranes within the chloroplasts, and reduce chlorophyll content, which lowers the plant's overall photosynthetic capacity. Despite repair mechanisms, high UV-B doses can inflict persistent damage on the plant's DNA. One study found that acute, high-dose UV-B had a greater effect on genome stability than chronic, low-dose exposure. The overproduction of reactive oxygen species can cause oxidative stress, leading to the oxidation of lipids and proteins and disrupting cellular function.

week intel: it was the time to prune the cover crops this week i chopped them - no problem all good stresses : just a little E.C stress around 1.4 once a week feeding: i feed them 3 times this week with this order : day 1 : i feed them heavy with silicate +base nutrients(calcium & micros + Bloom) about 707 ppm - 1.4 e.c to cause a little stress. day 3 : i feed them low dose of Feeding Booster around 275 ppm - 0.57 e.c to let them recover a little but not fully recover still a little stress will caused. day 5 : i feed them with normal dose of Top-Max + B-52 around 213 ppm - 0.42 e.c to let them recover the stresses to get ready for another stress next week. guide of the week : autos do so so so much better with 20 hours light per day pls dont run autos near femenized 1 of them must get sacrificed

Week 15 for Gelato 41 by seedstockers She got a MASSIVE defoliation... session done to her. She looks a little naked as of now but she will bounce back nicely by next week😇 She really needed it, it was so bushy before you couldn't even put your arm into the plant to figure out what was what😂 Oddly enough 30% of the plant seems to be in pre-flower when the rest doesn't... She does get shaded the quickest in the garden but wouldn't expect her to be flowering already... Still hasn't been watered since the rain last week but i may have to give water once this week as we have 40+ degrees incoming 😰

Everything went ok this week. They seem to still be drinking ok but not as much. The flowers are hard dense. I also notice the smell isn't as strong a week ago. This week I downgraded the tea to just molasses and my diy compost.

It's week 8 of flower. The buds are getting fatter and the aroma is more intense now. I can't wait to see the finished flowers. The buds still have a lot of white pistols, so I hope that the colas will get even fatter. I hope to have a good harvest in a couple of weeks.

I transplanted everything over the past 3 or 4 days and am just giving them some time to break in their new shoes before I flip them. I got a new bottle of calmag I think the one I was using was old it's been on the shelf for a while. The heat is still a little lower than I would like and now with the bigger pots humidity has gone way up.

Una variedad muy productiva con un olor y sabor muy dulce a Sherbet y papaya una combinacion excelente, muy buena genetica, un poco de oja en el pheno1 pero todas estan llenas de resina...asi que genial para el trim y poder hacer extracciones luego.

Good day everyone, 3 days ago I harvested the Pineapple express. I can say only one - this was VERY fast grow. The fastest one I had ever. So I know why - Fast buds genetic DWC simple system I can not say anything about the strain yet, but the aroma is amazingly sweet and fruity. The buds are fully covered with the white crystals. I will update the DRY bud weight within 1 week the smoke report. Good luck

Fácil de cultivar muy agradecida empezando la preflor con mucha fuerza se estira un poco pero bien no crecerá mucho más, huele y aún no tiene flor muy suave su olor atrae y te saliva la boca haber como avanza!! Buenos humos!!
