Flowering Week 23: The Great Defoliation & Purple Hints Update: 17.08.2025 | Day 163 Hey Growmies, Week 23 was all about the snip-snip – gave both ladies a serious haircut and opened up them tight spaces. Airflow’s king now, and these girls are breathing easy. Here’s the wrap: Durban Poison – Cleaned & Gleaming After that defoliation, she’s standing tall like a proper little tree – clean stems, no clutter, just good light and air all through her core. The buds are frosting up with pistils that’s turning a soft, shy purple. Real pretty. Smell’s picking up too – still subtle, kinda old-school. Not like these new genetic gas-monsters. If I had to call it something? Flowery. Earthy-flowery. Simple. Honest. Blueberry – Tall, Late & Mysterious This girl’s still reaching – almost 2.20m now, though only three mains broke the 2m mark. Rest is hanging around 1.80m. Buds are forming slooow, pistils are shy. She’s blooming on her own damn schedule – way behind Durban. Started sexing at the same time, but now it’s like Durban’s sprinting and Blueberry’s strolling. Starting to sweat a little… if she’s too late, mold might sneak in when the autumn damp hits. My choice of grow medium at this point seems to be spot on, I am holding my breath looking for signs of weakens and besides not really watering this week, this medium retain water well, does not clog up like normal soil, I love how the pig manure acts like pebbles and it retains those pebble balls though watering erodes the manure, it helps with air flow within the root system, and the added plus is I turn the soil, almost on a daily to make sure it’s always, fluffy and moist, not wet and clogging soil. Unknown alike Monday nee an operation, just need to buy a bag of compost so I can elevate them so the can get better airflow, plus I do not want to poke hole in their pots, though I am going to stress them out badly, I will get to see how good my homemade nutrient boost works. Regardless of this con, Unknown is growing with a lot of promise, let me hope and be patient that my LST will encourage that required new growth.

End of week 5. Plants have grown a lot. Nice stretch last week. Nice bushy plants, make sure to do defoliation .these will take longer than the other FastBuds strains I have going at the same time. Lights and genetics working great

7th of May Day 59 day 11 of 12/12 4 plants are looking healthy the stretch has started and and the canopy is starting to get a bit dense I may rom I’ve some large fan leaves on day 14 of 12/12 to give better airflow and allow for the lower growth to get more light, I can picture the colas already 😁🍁 ppm still going in at 650 ph 6.5, i top dressed each plant with fish blood and bone mean 3 table spoons to each 3gal pot on day 1 of flower

First feeding and topped with mushroom compost. She is starting to fill out.

23.08 These girls with co2 and so much light exploded in growth and are really packed in the tent. Never had such density. I will defoliate hard after this week and hope it will turn out fine. Fingers crossed cause the yield can be huge.

Day 65, 14th of November 2020: Bla bla bla I.could say a lot but just look at the pictures and video and say what you want. Crazily streching, and growing new sides as you can see she is having those fluor green new sides.... aggressive... strong I do love! Pre flowers and pistils are out! Beautiful tall even after topping she really grows.... Fertilization happens every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so she receives 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when she will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week....

Got a jewellers loupe this week love looking at the flowers! flowers are coming along nicely. starting to struggle with the humidity rising in the tent so any tips are appreciated.

AMS Pineapple express auto has been growing great. It is my first dwc grow. My light is at 60 percent, and have slowly increasing the strength. Expected to be at 100 percent by next weekend and will be doing a reservoir change then as well with stronger nutrition. Roots are spreading out well. Will likely do some training in a few days.
