Further progress has been made in my cannabis cultivation journey. I've been meticulously working on spreading the canopy over the entire surface of the tent, ensuring each plant gets equal light exposure. The aim is to create an environment that allows for optimal growth and an abundant yield. Later today, I plan to install a net. The net will provide support to the plants as they grow taller and heavier, especially as they enter the flowering phase. It will also help maintain the even spread of the canopy, ensuring that light penetration is maximized across all plants. In about a week, I will be shifting gears by switching the light schedule to a 12/12 cycle - marking the transition from the vegetative phase to the flowering phase. Concurrently, I will also start administering bloom nutrients. This tailored diet will provide the plants with the essential elements they need to produce bountiful, high-quality flowers. A noticeable change that has been happening recently is the increasing intensity of the aroma emanating from the plants. The scent of cannabis is becoming more and more pronounced, serving as a reminder of the transformative journey these plants are going through and the lush buds they will soon produce.

Ne Obliviscaris. Humidity Day 40-45%, Night 60-65% Internodes are very close together. was hitting 450umol at seedling level making it absorb more than it can use, reduced to 280-300umol @18 hours as expected vertical growth increased. During the 18 hours of daylight the first 9 is highly saturated in blue, 5000 kelvin, the 9 hours thereafter are closer to 3000 kelvin. Last 9 hours dosed 280nm. Height is too far to cause damage. UVB light is not detected by plants in the same way other wavelength/colours are. UV cannot be measured using umol as it doesn't drive photosynthesis. The plant has tiny little sensors that get set off to even little amounts, dimer salt bridges, the UV decays these salt bridges, which initiate response. You don't need large/long exposure doses for the plant to recognize UV is present. What's an enzyme? Think of it like a multiplier, you can add an enzyme to any particular biological process to vastly increase its proficiency at a particular process. Cannabis plants take blue/violet light and use it to create an enzyme called "photolayse". This allows the plant to repair UV damage done to the plant using a process called excision repair, this repairs the damage at a much much faster rate than it could by itself. Repairing 100% damage. The key is the plant needs time to build a reserve of the repair enzymes before using it. This is replicated in nature as, by midday UV levels peak, the generally cooler mornings allow lifetime to build up. The problem I encountered was dosing with 280nm lights on or 1 hour after the lights were on. Photomorphogenesis, the plant plans for the future of its growth, if the wavelength is not present during growth then how can it plan accordingly? The very presence of UV changes parameters with which the plant will grow, light itself dictates the growth pattern of the plant. Not only that it can dramatically alter the regular terpene profile of a strain in unexpected ways. Gran daddy purple grown using 280nm can triple already high terpene linalool. Linalool is terpene best known for lavender, largely responsible for its beautiful smell. Trouble sleeping you say? Having tried Durban poison from a dispensary and reading about its levels of tetrahydrocannabivarin. I've always wanted to taste the difference UV would make to such an already stand-out strain such as Durban.

I don't plan on doing any topping. Just all low stress training. I think I'll do some topping on my next grow round and compare the 2 grows.

50th day of flowering behind us Purple Punch X Do-si-dos # 1 and # 2 ripen trichomes are milky, at the end of 8 weeks they will go under the scythe. Zombie Kush has a moment too, it looks unbelievable, the resin is fluffy and the velvet splendor. And bananas hopefully they will be good .. We are looking forward to the harvest! Day 72 - Into week 11 now and gave her 2 gallons of water and nutes today. Overall she’s doing really well and budding up nicely. She’s already extremely frosty and looking forward to the next few weeks to see what she does at the end. Day 73 - No real issues and nothing much else going on with the girl right now. Just took her out of the tent for some updated pictures and tucked a few leaves when I put her back for more light penetration. Day 74 - Nothing much new really happening today. She’s frosty as hell and budding up nicely. She’s got another couple of days before she needs any sort of water or nutes but I’ll check in her tomorrow and if she needs some, I’ll give her some. Day 75 - Nothing much to speak of with her right now. She got 2 gallons of water and nutes today and her buds are really looking gorgeous. She’s probably the strongest smelling plant that I’ve grown so far. Day 76 - Almost the end of week 11 and all is good. Not much happening right now but did defoliate a few giant fan leaves. Other than that, just enjoying her smell and watching her swell. Day 77 - It’s the last day of week 11 and she’s doing great. Not much really going on, she’s stacking buds and continuing to frost up even more than the beginning of the week. She should need some water and nutes by the end of the weekend. All in all it looks like this is gonna be a very easy trim for once.

Soaked the seeds in distilled water for 15 minutes. After I put them on wet cotton pads and sealed those in Mylar bags. I placed those bags on top of my radiator. I made sure it is not running too hot. I don't really care about yield; I just want to do a little project inspired by a YouTuber called Weed in a Pot. I just want to see if I can bring it to the next level with this setup. I already switched out the light for the newer evo dimmable version since it was to strong. Also drilled a few more thicker holes in the bottom for better cold air intake.
