We sent the girls into darkness on Day 70, allowing them a full 48+ hours of rest and reset. The dark period was just a bit longer, truth be told, because time… it flows as it must. This extended dark time helps increase resin production, allowing the trichomes to mature just that final bit more. On Days 72 and 73, we harvested them with care and reverence. Each plant was hung upside down, whole, in a perfectly controlled 60% humidity environment for 13 full days. Before hanging, we gently removed only the fan leaves, leaving all trichome-rich sugar leaves in place — a natural armor for the delicate resin glands during drying. Why do we do this? Because those sugar leaves help protect the essential oils and terpenes, preserving potency, flavor, and aroma for the smoothest experience later on. 🌿 The Dry Room & The Trichome Guardians Throughout the drying, we used a moisture meter to monitor the moisture content in the stems. Once it dropped to around 12–13%, we knew it was time. This tool is a simple but game-changing ally in ensuring a perfect dry — not too fast, not too slow. We then trimmed everything by hand over a 6.5-hour focused session. Armed with trim bins and good energy, we collected an abundance of glistening trichome heads in the process — a golden bonus from these resin-packed beauties. The leaves themselves told a story: deep purples, near-black shades, autumn fades and metallic tones — just stunning. Each girl was trimmed in order: #5 → #4 → #3 → #2 → #1, revealing dense, chunky buds all the way from top to bottom. Not a single pop-corn bud among them — only rock-solid nugs, heavyweight champions in every sense. 📦 Cure Begins – Grove Bags & Glass Jars Once trimmed, the buds were tucked carefully into Grove Bags and glass jars, each stabilized at around 61% RH. This was week 4 of flower, she smells nice! I use living soil so there isnt much to do. I just observe make sure all is going well.

Day 106, 17th of November 2020: We need to say goodbye to her very soon. The judgement is harvest. Time has come and she is old enough to be cut. I have checked trichomes all good some days darkness and no more water also and she will be just outside on the table for some days. Really nice little plant not strong smell. I really wanna try the smoke the ratio 1:1 CBD:THC and only 7.5% CBD and 7.5% THC haha :)

Man, it must really suck to see that skunk apple plant doing so poorly. It barely grew at all, and those four points on it are supposed to make it look cool, but they're super tiny. It's looking more like a skinny stalk with a few weak branches.

This girl is growing amazingly and she stinks you Thai Mint 😍 She’s definitely my one of favourite strains. Most of her pistils have receded and once they have all done I’ll start checking her trichomes. I think it’ll be around 2 weeks before harvest and a bud wash. Happy growing 🤙🏿

Day 92 1000 tap added 6.3 700 Tomorrow will be three weeks since res change. Day 93 1000 tap ph5.46.1 ppm710 Another tiny nanner plucked from another bud. Day 94 Three weeks since res change. She drinks about a liter a day. Looks cooked tbh. First I've read that if/when sugar leaves' tips start burning it's better to harvest, second I checked the trichomes: lowest buds are quiet transparent, but there are amber heads on the top colas already as well. So I guess I should prepare for harvest. I don't know if I should flush. Day 95 Welp after reading a few articles and being bored I decided to change her res one last time to just cold tap. I'm not even gonna ph it, hope I'm not gonna regret it. Update: PH rose like crazy and I had to add some PH minus :) Sugar tips are badly burnt. Day 96 And I sent her to chop town.

Big cracked on the main cola of plant #4 not dying but very fragile. She will be okay I think. Update : 22/08 Mealybug, so far I see only 1 found some info from Google this can be a problem with infestation Treatment : I clean off the stem area with water mix with drop of alcohol and washing liquid.

11/22 Day 31 from flip. Today is the first day that I took a tape measure from the lights to the topmost part of the canopy and I haven’t seen a change. I’ll check again tomorrow but I’m really hoping the stretch is finally done. I still have about 10 inches of space between the lights and canopy so I think I’ll be ok with that. I took the chance to do what is hopefully a near final defoliation of a few leaves and some smaller sucker branches that won’t amount to much. Everything still looks super healthy, no red anywhere on any stems and no discoloration on the leaves. Everything is spot on. Light adjusted to 840 PAR / 36.3 DLI. 11/25 Day 34 from flip. I made some adjustments to my nute mix to be more firmly at 1.3 EC, which means I’ve added some additional nutes into the mix. I also tested runoff EC and discovered things were spiking a bit more than I’d like. So I mixed up a few batches of my new mix and I’ve been feeding every few hours to flush things out a little bit. I’ve brought it down from 1.9 to 1.5 so far after this. I may finally need to break down and set up some timers to feed multiple times throughout the day. Obviously once a day is not getting done right now. 11/26 Day 35 from flip. I finally got the timer hooked up to my pump to begin automatic watering. For now, I have it set to water at noon for a minute when the lights come on, a 2 minute pause to let that settle, and then 30 seconds more to make sure both are fully saturated. The second fertigation event will be at 6:00 for 45 seconds, and then right before lights off another 45 seconds. I’ll have to keep an eye on it to see if I need to adjust any more for now. I haven’t adjusted the lights since last time, but the latest reading is 885 PAR / 38.2 DLI at the highest point of the canopy. It’ll stay there for now.
