In the seventh week, I am preparing a detailed essay to explain my training method. I plan to increase the nutrient solution dosage to 35ml, including Warmcasts, seaweed, and a flower mix I concocted. Additionally, I will introduce 100% Gaba powder at half a teaspoon, mixed with water, to be administered at nighttime for the next two weeks. This natural chemical compound can help the plant relax and alleviate stress as it transitions into the pre-flowering stage and starts producing flowers. On the 11th of January, I completed the last defoliation procedure before the plant enters the pre-flowering stage in three days. I observed that the DLI (Daily Light Integral) reading is a bit high, and the light is positioned at the top. Therefore, I aim to adjust the light to achieve an ideal DLI range between 20-30. There is currently no CO2 supplementation in place. On the 12th of January, I eagerly await the pre-flowering stage and anticipate its onset in a few more days. It's time to initiate a 3-day mid-drying period. A notable event on the 12th of January was the arrival and easy installation of the Spectrum King Sk600. The brightness of this new light is noticeably superior compared to the Budmasters. On the 13th of January, the plants experienced the first half-day under the SK600, and everything appears to be in good condition. Furthermore, I decided to move one of the vegetative plants, "Mango Skunk," into the flower tent on the same day. Additionally, there was a rearrangement of the lights in the flower tent, with the Spectrum King SK600 and Cropmaster Pro 1000 DIY being utilized. The readings for both lights were documented as follows: DLI - 197 u/mols, PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) - 3000 and up at 23 inches from the canopy, PPFD 2942 at 24 inches from the canopy. I also applied blood fish and bone on topsoil and worked it in, using 2 cups of the mixture on the 14th of January. It was a relatively quiet day, and to lighten the growing mood, I took a quick video and uploaded some pictures of my dog Martina, showcasing her journey from a puppy. The bottom node leaves are significantly large, leading me to anticipate massive buds in the future. Late-night observations revealed that Pablo, a plant in the tent, may not have fully stretched to fill the available space, suggesting that it could be male. On the other hand, the forgotten haze cakes strain occupies a substantial portion of the tent, showcasing positive training outcomes. On January 15, 2024, I removed the twist ties from the cola stalks to allow for better airflow and to support the unrestricted growth of the plants. The following day, I took some photos to document the progress of the plants. It's always fascinating to visually track their development over time. Also on January 16, a plant named "Freaky Pablo" displayed unusual characteristics, signaling that it might be a male plant. To prevent any potential pollination issues, I decided to remove "Freaky Pablo" from the grow space. On the same day, I observed the presence of pre-flowers, indicating the beginning of the flowering stage. This marks an exciting phase in the growing process as the plants transition to a crucial stage of their life cycle. During this time, I made some adjustments to the positioning of the "Mango Skunk" plant, initially moving it up to the top bed and then deciding to move it back to the bottom. On January 18, I noted that the lights were turned on, marking the start of the flowering phase. This is a significant milestone in the plant's development as it shifts its focus from vegetative growth to flower production. Additionally, I relocated a plant named "Spicy Temp" to the flower tent. This move ensures that all plants in the flowering stage are in the optimal environment for the next phase of their growth. Overall, it appears that the grow operation is progressing well, and I am looking forward to witnessing how the plants continue to develop. And finally, here's a joke for you: What did one plant say to the other? "Hey bud, how's it growing?" I am not, because i am dead!

I put it into the water in a dark and warm place, after 2 days the seeds were ready to be put directly into the soil. I grow live soil so ... I bought Light Mix from Biobizz and mixed with Humus from Lurpensolutions, Mikoryzae from Xtreme Gardening and watered with standstill water with Bacterias from BioTabs

So it's basically day 66 on BK and day 58 on GG thinking about start to flush them... They look gorgeous and full of trichomes, smell still missing but I'm fine with it... Next update in week

On day 1 I adjusted the PH of my reservoir from 6.3 to 6.1. On day 2 the PH was 6.0. On day 3 the buds are really bulking up :) and the reservoir is at 6.0. On day 4 I applied a BTI drench Ph of 6.0. This should be the final application for any remaining fungus gnats. The reservoir's PH is also 6.0. On day 5 I had to PH up my reservoir to 6.2. When I get to the last half of my reservoir the PH seems to dive down instead of up. On day 6 the reservoir PH is 6.3. On day 7 I adjusted the PH of the reservoir to 6.1 and did my final defoliation before harvest. I have one cola that may have gotten pollen somehow... I cant find any male pollen sacks anywhere on my plants so it's kind of a mystery at the moment. Only time will tell and all my other colas seem unaffected.

August 18, day 108 (day 41f), the buds are going through their final ripening before harvest. They are putting on a bit of weight still, but the trichomes are close to where I would like them to be (entirely cloudy) and there is some foxtailing starting on some of the buds. I don't mind the foxtailing as it means more harvest weight, but the plant is definitely getting closer to the end of its life. The Mandarine scent and beautiful red tones make this strain a winner. The buds are chunky in a good, balanced, "I'm not going to find rot in the middle" kind of way. August 21, day 111 (44f), flush soon, cut soon. I have put them through stress by constantly trimming, I have did some topping and low stress training. I tried leaf tucking but plants were so bushy that no light was able penetrate the canopy. I did everything that I was told not to just to expirement with the girls.

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! Peace. 09/10 : I managed to fit everything in the same container with some space between them, so now every bud is with the Boveda pack. 14/10: It´s been a week and the smell improved, it still smells a little like hay/plant ( even tho it´s not too dry neither too wet ). 21/10: Now it´s been two weeks and even tho the smell isn´t anymore hay, it´s a lot herbal. I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. 28.08.2025 Leider habe ich den notdürftig befestigten Ast verloren und er war tatsächlich so groß wie eine reguläre Indoor-Pflanze 😅. Es tat mir in der Seele weh, mich von ihm verabschieden zu müssen. Zurzeit ist es sehr stürmisch und regnerisch und ich kann froh sein, wenn ich auch nur eine einzige Blüte ernten werden kann. Sie ist sooo riesig und sprengt den Balkonplatz. Unglaublich!

awesome strain, fat resinous buds with an awesome scent and great yield! both plants grew very evenly and almost looked the same, would grow again any time!

Moby Dick XXL Overview- Growth ~ *Grown under a spider farmer sf2000 only in a 4x4 tent* Initial Veg period was 5 weeks. I did not top her and I performed very minimal LST/ defoliation. I started her right of the bat with the microbials (Mammoth P/ Recharge) and then later added my NFTG feed int week 4. She really started to explode in growth in week 4/5. I honestly did not notice one yellow leaf up until the very end when I started to flush her. This strain is very very tolerant I would say and grows HUGE. I started seeing signs of flowering in week 6 and it was history from there! She exploded with even more growth nearly doubling its size in flower (3.5 ft to be exact) and she grew many massive colas slammed with milky trichomes and dank smells! Buds grow long and slender as opposed to small/dense like golf balls. Nutrients ~ She was potted into a 6-gal fabric airpot w/ M3 soil. Like I do with most my plants I started her slowly with just microbial feeds (w/Mammoth P and Recharge) and I did not start using my main nutrient line (Nectar for The Gods) until week 4. I really like using a foliar spray to feed also. I kept a simple feed schedule with this one and it worked out really well. I try to follow this schedule (Shown below) as close to possible with some obvious interruptions to it here and there. Microbe tea /VEG ONLY*foliar spray No Water Feed /VEG ONLY*foliar spray Microbe tea No Water /VEG ONLY*foliar spray No Water or Flush (every two weeks) Aroma/Taste ~ One of my favorite parts about this plant was its aroma. Very pine like but sharp and unique . Its described an exotic wood smell and I definitely get that. Its so refreshing and earthy it’s a VERY nice change of pace from the fruitier strains. You do get a slight citrusy smell but the pine/ wood smell is really the overpowering smell. It is by far the smelliest auto I have ever grown so I really really respect how well of a job Dinafem did on these genetics. They obviously didn’t just focus on the size of the plant! She has a nice smooth flavor that is earthy and sharp . The wood flavors linger a bit which is very nice! Effects~ Almost instantly felt it in my head. Blessed with a euphoric feeling of calmness and almost a numbness to reality. I felt it for sure and it was very potent. 1 joint had me feeling it very hard and th high lasted what felt like an hour or so which is not the case for me usually! Its attributed to the sativa dominance this plant has. Im so used to growing hybrids or indica dom plants I almost forgot what sativa highs felt like! Thanks Moby Dick XXl for slapping me in the face and reminding me!! Overall thoughts~ This plant is really easy to grow, and she stays true to her name and grows massive. This strain should be tried by any auto lover 100% I think Dinafem nailed this strain all across the board. Was pleasantly surprised with how tolerant to nutrients/ light she is. I had the light closer than suggested most her flowering and she didn’t stress at all. I cant really come up with a negative thing to say about this plant, maybe the buds are airy but that’s because she is very sativa dominant it was a bastard to trim her for sure. Drying/ Curing method~ -Dried for 11 days in a low humidity environment/ completely dark area with good airflow. Hung her as an entire plant with all the leaves still on her. -Dry trimmed her (very hard strain to trim) -Put right into mason jars and sealed shut for 3 days then began burping her (I am not using boveda ***) -Burped twice a day for 2 weeks straight and maintained 60-62 humidity. -Slowed down burping to once a night the third week .
