Week 3: Vegetative Growth and Care
Welcome to the fourth weekly update of our cannabis cultivation journey in Germany! As we move into the third week of vegetative growth, our strains—Pulp Friction, Cookies Haze, Eleven Roses, Poddy Mouth, Critical Lemon Kush, and OG Kush—continue to thrive.
This week, we’ve focused on maintaining optimal growing conditions and further refining our Low-Stress Training (LST) techniques.
Key Developments:
1. Enhanced Vegetative Growth:
- The plants are showing significant growth, with lush, green foliage and strong stems.
- The 18-hour light and 6-hour dark cycle continues to support their healthy development.
2. Continued Low-Stress Training (LST):
- We have adjusted the LST ties to guide the plants’ growth, ensuring an even canopy and maximizing light exposure.
- The plants are responding well to LST, with multiple branches growing vigorously.
Steps Taken:
1. Monitoring:
- Maintained temperature around 24-28 degrees Celsius and humidity between 50-60 percent.
- Kept the soil consistently moist, watering when the top inch of soil felt dry.
2. Nutrient Management:
- Continued with a balanced nutrient solution to support vegetative growth.
- Monitored the plants for any signs of nutrient deficiencies or excesses and adjusted the feeding schedule as needed.
3. Adjusting LST:
- Gently repositioned the LST ties to ensure all parts of the plants receive adequate light.
- Avoided over-stressing the plants by making gradual adjustments.
4. Pest and Disease Prevention:
- Regularly inspected the plants for any signs of pests or diseases.
- Maintained a clean growing environment to minimize risks.
Next Steps:
- Prepare for the transition to the flowering stage, which will begin soon.
- Continue to monitor and adjust the environmental conditions and nutrient regimen to support healthy growth.

Franchement que dire ? C'est une merveille cette plante j'adore la regardé grandir
A par la defoliation je ne pratique aucune technique sur elle ! Juste arrosage a chaque fois que le pot est léger arrosage avec 2 litres d'eau pH 6.3 a laquelle j'ajoute cellmax nutriments

holy sweet lord. these things are beasts. so i heard all about it.. and i thought .. has to be markleting.. no.. these 420fastbuds are true beasts. I put more into my unit to really test it.. will start that diary next week. also enjoy the overall summary

I apologize for this diary not being thorough. I haven't had the extra time to fully document, or even give this grow the attention it deserves. Now that I have a couple grows under my belt, I feel more comfortable and know what to expect. I wanted to try and keep things as simple as possible, so I decided to try the Lucus Formula and only use Maxibloom through the full life cycle. For the first few weeks, I used nothing but filtered tap water, and once the plants had a few set of leaves, I began with a half feeding. After a week, I bumped to the full 7g/gal of the nutes and have continued that to this point, week 11. One plant looks to be at least a week closer to being ready to chop. I plan to flush after this week and cut the larger one, and then maybe one last feeding for the other. I think I will only grow 1 plant at a time going forward as I always have an issue with keeping both healthy and on pace. And LST works great in this setup.

Added some Universol Yellow to counterpart the KMPS which has high K.
ORP dropped a lot, countered it with KMPS and POLY(DIMETHYLAMINE-CO-EPICHLOROHYDRIN).
RH and am ambient temperature are lower at the end of the week due to my other plant being chopped and I want a cooler climate for slow cure over 14-21 days for that one, both grow and dry tent are in the same room.
The Buds are more dense than previous weeks, the supplemented K seems to do the trick and of course because it is end of life.
Will harvest early next year, wanted to do it on the last day of week 12 but I was sick and holidays.
Internodal spacing is good, long buds at the top.
Buds smell like sweet candy with a touch menthol, lets see if that stays after cure.
My mind changed about the plant in the last week, maybe this one shows just at the end.

As you can see from the third picture on day 29 she is looking a little ugly and unkept. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing or something I need to take action on. Advice would be great.
So day 30 rolling around. Decided I had to try LST again. She felt more receptive to being bent over today as well. I mainly had to attempt it for space reasons. With the current covid panic all the markets where I buy my buckets from are closed and I can't procure a new one to increase my height for probably a couple of weeks at this rate so LST was my only option. She seems to have taken well to it and I will upload a finished picture of her shortly.
Day 32, watered and fed her. 500ml of water plus .3ml each of fox farm trio. Hoping to see her perk up a bit. Concerned about the large brown spot on one of her leaves which made me think she was having a deficiency? Probably a bit early to worry about buds fattening up also but I am worried they are looking a bit airy at the moment on the non main cola sites. I'm not sure if my LST was effective at tricking her into trying to have more than one top cola?
Day 33. No noticeable gains today, at least to my eyes. I can spot a little nute burn perhaps but hopefully nothing too serious. Looks like a cola that isn't the original top is starting to fill out just as much, if not more, than the original top though. Hoping they all catch up at a similar pace to each other and reduce the pop corn nug potential!
Day 35. She has shown a few more bud sites since last post. I am worried that she is going to produce a fair bit of larf/popcorn bud and wanted to know how to get rid of that? I am not confident to remove any growth without knowing for sure it has a beneficial impact on the overall health of the plant and the final results. Any advise is appreciated. She also seemed a bit thirsty to me. The leaves were feeling a bit thin and dry so I gave her 1L of water with .7ml each of fox farm trio. Hopefully she responds well. I will check her in an hour or so to see if the leaves are starting to point back up - fingers crossed.

So I left for a week and had a trusted friend take over watering duties. A few things of note: I was concerned over overheating the grow so I turned the power down to 75% and ran the light up another 6 inches. This had the unfortunate effect of less airflow and cooler temps so I got powdery mildew that I would be fighting for the remainder of the grow. That aside, the plants looked way more mature when I returned home, with nice trichome development and density.

Weekly update fam. We got preflowers, so we all know what that means. The flower stage of the plant cycle has started. I'm extremely happy the way these have grown requiring no special treatment what so ever. They're getting attacked by some pest but I'll spay and hopefully get that under control before to late into flower. I generally don't like to spray past week 3 of flower. All in all Happy Growing.

I cutted off the main cola of GG accidentally, so we have GG LST, GG LST + topping and LH growing naturally.
Rain days/no sunny days they stay indoors as u can see. (20hours indoors 400HPS and 12 hours outdoors direct sunlight)
Gonna decrease nutrients because of the apparence of the leaves, "plastic leaves effect" let me know what u will do in comments ! DAY 39 AND 40 GORILLAS AND DAY 30 LH
18/04/2020 day 35 of LH and day 44 and 45 of the gorillas. They starting the full bloom and swating crystals. Smell increased considerably. I water more nowadays because she drinks a lot ! enjoy todays vid in the terrace :D

🛠️ Configuration Technique & Climat
Éclairage : Lumatek ATS 300W Pro (réglé à 100% depuis hier) ☀️ (Plein régime pour la phase finale !)

📅Évolution & Entretien :
Trichomes laiteux, structure en épi de blé et top départ du rinçage
Morphologie et état des fleurs :
Hauteur :
Se maintient à 84 cm (la structure est définitivement figée, toute l'énergie va dans la maturation).
Aspect des têtes :
Les bourgeons sont gros, denses, bien verts et compacts. Ils promettent d'être très lourds sur la balance.
La structure des fleurs évolue de manière très esthétique en "épis de blé", les calices se gonflent et s'empilant les uns sur les autres.
Résine et trichomes :
Les trichomes sont désormais bien laiteux au microscope. Le givre de résine enveloppe superbement les bourgeons et les petites feuilles de sucre.
💦 Nutrition & Gestion de l'eau
Hier (Dernier repas) :
Application du tout dernier apport de Bio PK 5-8 (Biotabs). Dora a reçu son ultime boost de phosphore et de potassium pour verrouiller la fin du gonflement.
Aujourd'hui (Transition Rinçage) :
Coupure définitive de l'arrivée d'eau de l'Autopot.
Stratégie : Je passe effectivement en mode manuel pour un rinçage de 14 jours.
L'objectif est maintenant de pousser la plante à puiser dans ses dernières réserves, à consommer les nutriments stockés et à déclencher doucement sa sénescence à l'eau claire pour obtenir une herbe au goût le plus pur possible.
Le travail de maturation final
commence sous les 300W à 100%. Dora est parée pour ses deux dernières semaines de vie à l'eau claire !

So its week 3 for these girls, we started this diary to join the competition, but there are some issues and i cant join.
