Flower sites are clearly forming now, and a sweet smell comes out every time I open the grow space. For some of you seasoned pros this might be trivial, but I’ve changed my watering routine — and it seems to be paying off. I’m now watering more thoroughly, more slowly, and with enough runoff. On 5th week in flower, smelling gassy /underneath nose earthy in there as well. Looking stacked but I really appreciate the free seed. Hello gardeners! I'm starting my third grow after two good attempts where I learned a lot. In my first trial I was able to pull 40 + 20 + 20 = 80 g under not optimal conditions (limited time mostly), and in my second I improved to roughly 40 + 40 + 60 = 140 g with one additional week in veg and an additional led panel during flower. Now, my goal is to harvest 3 x 60 = 180 g with pretty much the same set up. The differences from my previous grow will be: 1) 1 more week in veg (total 6 weeks): I felt that my girls were not mature enough when I flipped them to 12/12 in the last grows. I wanna see them stronger and more robust this time 2) Use a larger pot size during flower (5 gal): for the same reason as above, I want to give them the opportunity to be strong and robust plants 3) Reduced number of colas (16 per plant): last time I was a bit conservative doing lollipop and removing the little side branches, and ended up with ~23 colas/ plant, which did not allow proper spacing between colas. Although ventilation was never a problem, there was a lot of shade that could not be avoided. 4) Improved feeding regime: (see images) one of my goals with my growing is to establish a good feeding regime that works reasonably well for average strains with my growing medium (PRO MIX herbs and vegetables). Since the medium is a hybrid between soil and soiless, the plants don't need extra nuts in the first weeks, but as the plants grown, the organic compost present in the medium becomes not sufficient. My feeding strategy is basically the GH Flora Series - Drain to Waste chart with reduced amounts in the first 4 weeks and slightly less nitrogen during flowering. 5) Height Control: since the girls will have an extra week to grow, I'll need to be extra cautious and control their height from the very beginning. I'll be doing 1 top in the CBD and GG, and probably 2 on the Moby Dick. I also may try something similar to manifolding on the Moby Dick if she starts to grow really faster than the others. In addition, I'll be scroging everything as low as I can. 6) LED panel distance: last time plants finished flowering about 16 in away from the lamp. Great last few weeks. Strains from sweet seed dominating. Smells. Incrediable. And i have never see a plant that alter smell between nugs such as these auto. Some. Nugs smell like banana strawberry some like lemon pledge. And others. Old clothes. And just dank cheese all on one plant ttruly incrediable to witness as a cannabis adventurer

9/25: Harvested them, washed and hung to dry for 5 days, then alternated from jars to brown paper bags for a several more days. Final thoughts: This strain proved to be very indica in both growth characteristics and effect. I really like it as a "medicinal" variety..great for stress/anxiety or insomnia. The buds are super "greasy" and dank while growing and once dry. They didn't stretch much, and had hardly any lateral branching, unlike their mother. They didn't take up any more space than their pots. Would have been perfect for a single-strain SOG. Very heavy for shorter, cola-only plants...buds are really really dense. Plant A: 72g Plant B: 75g Plant C: 75g Plant D: 71g Potency: 9/10 Yield: 8/10 Flavor: 8/10 Aroma: 8/10 Bag-appeal: 10/10 Ease of growing: 10/10

Overall i'm really happy with this strain. First i thought i wouldn't get a high yield but i'm pretty happy with it i got 250grams of top trimmed buds 2g of hashoil 2g of bubblehash and another 80grams of dry plant material for making bubblehash. Super potent strain with an amazing flavour, definitely nit the last time growing this strain.

Le temperature elevate delle ultime settimane, sono state molto stressanti per le ragazze ma nonostante questo la genetica Barney'S farm si è fatta predominante ed insieme alla sorella Fastbuds Apricot auto hanno praticamente fagocitato l intero spazio della grow box, destinato come progetto iniziale di 4 piante, purtroppo sappiamo bene come sono andate le altre due ragazze, ma diciamocelo, di sicuro non staremo a piangerci addosso perché questa cookie KUSH auto mi sta veramente sorprendedno, altezza di 98cm e un sacco di sviluppo delle cime laterali che sono stra colme di gemme a forma di biscotto che si stanno sviluppando in modo davvero grandioso sia in numero di fiori che di nuovi fiori, che di compattezza delle cime, nonostante il caldo abbia portato a formare delle cime un po foxtail, ma spero che questo problema rientri nelle ultime due settimane che mancano alla raccolta, la temperatura sarà dai 26 ma x 30 gradi, quindi clima controllato ideale per questa ragazza che sprizza di resina da ogni nuovo fiore! Spero che la situazione continui così, anche se ho notato una carenza (spero) di calcio e magnesio che mi è capitato spesso anche in altre coltivazioni organiche, a cui avevo somministrato c02, si vede che aumentando il metabolismo andavano in carenza di cal/mag... ma purtroppo io non sono ancora così esperto da capirlo da me stesso ed essere pienamente sicuro della soluzione migliore da adottare.. WEEK 8 (04/18/2021 - 04/24/2021) Day 59: 04/18/2021 Defoliated some growth from each plant before I installed my custom-built SCRoG net made of: pvc piping, drywall screws, and jute twine for the netting. It’s slightly smaller than the tent, 41”x41” with a second level for another net. It fits perfectly, leaving plenty of room to work around the edges and move the fan around if needed. Immediately after defoliation and installing the net, I watered using ½ strength Botanicare Hydroguard. Watering was different. I used a battery-powered liquid transfer pump to help water the plants a little faster and more efficiently. Also helps to reach the plants I can’t access as easily in the corner. I am unable to test/collect any of the runoff at the moment since installing the net, which wouldn’t be an issue by itself, but my saucers are just barely large enough to fit the base of the 5 gallon pots into. I have no way of sticking a pH pen or TDS meter in the runoff. They simply won't fit between the pot and the saucer. This is extremely unfortunate, as I am now unable to monitor the ppm of the soil with each watering. Will have to pick up some larger saucers soon or think of another solution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 61: 04/20/2021 ‘Tis the season to be medicated. Happy Holidaze! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 62: 04/21/2021 Upping the amount of water going into the pots this watering. Previously I was doing 1 gallon of water per 5 gallon pot. I’m increasing the amount of water to 1.5 gallons. Hopefully that will produce enough runoff for taking measurements. It’s going to be a painfully difficult task to take readings but I really need to know what the condition of the soil is right now. Will not be using any nutrients this time considering the runoff was kind of high when I fed on 4/10. This seems a little risky though since it has been 11 days since a nutrient feed, but I’d rather not burn the plants by blindly adding nutrients. Will return. Hopefully with measurements. (some amount of time later) Tap water: 245ppm, 6.1 pH (9 gallons) pH Down: 30ml JB#1 - 2730ppm, 7.0 pH JB#2 - 2290ppm, (pH pen died again on this plant) AP#1 - 2380ppm, 6.9 pH AP#2 - 3610ppm (seems extremely high), 7.0 pH GC#1 - 2320ppm, 6.9 pH GC#2 - 2340ppm, 7.1 pH I don’t know what was up with the measurements on the AP#2. The saucers the pots are sitting in are a little small so I think the ppm might have been reading high because the bottom of the fabric pot was sitting in the runoff. Maybe I’m just saying that to reassure myself. Either way, the 3000+ ppm seemed very off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 66: 04/24/2021 Defoliation + weaving/securing branches through SCRoG. I'm not 100% sure that the SCRoG was the most optimal technique of choice given the very limited space within the grow tent. Also, I almost feel like I installed the screen a little late. Maybe not? Either way, I have read about them and the potential of increased yields, which got me excited enough to build one to try out for myself. I was aware going into it that there would be some difficulties using a SCRoG. I can no longer move my pots around is the main thing. Not being able to move the pots around has increased the difficulty factor of watering/feeding. I now have to access 3 different sides of the tent to get all 6 plants. I've clipped all the ties holding the branches down from previous LST sessions. There was just no way I was going to spend hours weaving in and out of all the ties trying to water each plant while also dealing with the difficulties of a SCRoG obstructing the work space. That would also wreck my poor back. From here, things are going to get real exciting. Tomorrow (04/25) I am rescheduling the light cycle to 12/12 to initiate flowering. Another 60-70 days to go, growing buds and packing on trichomes. With that said, I'm excited to have made it through my very first full vegetative cycle. I've definitely made my fair share of mistakes, as expected, but as long as I keep learning from them future harvest will only continue to increase in quality and yield.
