DAY 56 flowering: Hi all and welcome to any new visitors too. We are at the near end point now with this 1st run of the viparspectra xs1500. It has been a very pleasant experience and also a humbling one too. I never expected the performance it has proven and initially thought I would struggle to find a practical way of incorporating it into my set up and to see what it had got to offer. Deciding to go the route I have was more driven by the lights abilities to perform wat better than I anticipated. The 5 seedlings soon became 5 big ladies that would have been impossible to squeeze under the 2x2 flowering coverage They did however, get an amazing start right up to flowering beginning before I had to choose who stayed under the xs1500. The 2 that I mainly diary for the lights ability are the focus of the journal but I have to include a little on the other strains due to their initial support from the light and to also include the Gorilla cookies as they are amazing plants. They are both so close to ready now and sadly one of the mains has been hit with an little bud rot from its density. The buds smell so candy sweet now too. I will be keeping a very vigilant eye on these now. Grandaddys mimosa had continued her swelling from using the #Shogun Dragon force and is a perfect example of how the product works in the final 2 weeks of flowering , when usually they are fading out to finish. The buds have doubled in girth with an absolutely solid feel to them too . The light has helped create some very hard buds. No signs of whisky popcorn at all and each stack is a solid spike of flowering plant. For such a squat girl, she is so impressive. She smells so fruity with a hint of citrus to her and she is engulfing all the leaves that had been poking out previously. I think she will be a surprise yield next week !. The Northern lights girls are both doing really well too with the #2 mutant starting to ripen up finally now. She is still way taller than her sister but has sone long node gaps. #1 is totally different, she is a spiked monster compared and her colas are taking on a nice pale orange colour as they ripen. I do think she will go another week before being ready to consider harvest. She is still so fresh looking in a lot of places that I dont want to rush her at all. The light has managed to penetrate deep enough into the plant to create long spiked colas with no issues down low in the canopy with whispy popcorn to mention either. This is a very positive point to mention as some l.e.d do not get the penetration needed to do more than create a top canopy with poor light reaching deeper and not supplying the par they need. This light does not have that issue by a long shot. It penetrates like "Dirk diggler" and reaches all those important ladies parts !!!.... I am most impressed by the mimosa so far and as a 1st gen cross auto of a mimosa lemon Male sacks and a random multi strain seeding from its pollen release , I have ended up with a good amount of crossed autos from trusted and stable strains. It can be fun growing these out and so far this is the 3rd from the batch that I have successfully run. Aside from the benefits of the end products we get , the journey we go on can be an amazing and eye openening experience. If you start to investigate how these plants really live , love and die and how they use the network of available systems to communicate and build our much loved bud factories , you will find it hard to climb out of that rabbit hole . Finding out that fungi is not the man everyone wants to party with but IS a complex communication system used in nature to meet the needs of the whole forest/fauna in unison is life changing !!!!!. At day 57, they are now going into a 48hr dark period before harvesting . I did have a couple of bud rot issues in one or two buds due to the density of their growth. I am hoping to keepnot at bay during the low and slow dry after trimming wet this time. I will update their yield ect once they finish. Pics dont do them justice and they smell so sweet. Hey Cannafam 💚 Its been a mixed week im the tent for my gals. lets start with the low and end up high, mmmmmmmm high 😃 The environment has been a real challenge again this week as were having another heatwave and although humidity has come down temps have shot up further and ive struggled to keep the tent under 30c, again the side lighting has been kept fown on level 3 to keep heat down so they are on about 300ppfd from above and 150 ppfd from the sides currently, extraction has been turned up but tbh its not making much difference as the tent is in a cupboard. I have started opening the doors when the lights are on at night but as the bedroom last night was still 27c with the windows open!(yes i haven't slept). VPD has also been whey above where i want it also ranging from 1.5 - 1.7 all week. The magnedium def has progressed so no feed this week and im gonna flush again before anything else as they are locked out and theres no point to keep chuckin calmag at them. Now on the highs, flowering is coming along well and ive now supercropped the top of the second plant as the other one seemed to respond, its the first time i've tried this so quite interesting to see how it turns out but flowers on top are looking tasty. Buds also have allot more substance this week and are looking good 😊 Smell is also increasing and theres some lovely citrus notes coming out. Thats all for now thanks for stopping by 😊✌️

Trying to keep the conditions steady. The seem to be growing faster, they really like the fertilizer. All 3 have 4 nodes, but the bottom true leaves seem to be dying. Might have been inappropriate ph earlier. Day 25: The plants started to smell, although it’s weak Day 28: The fifth node is developing nicely. I think I’ll top them soon, maybe except the little one. It doesn’t seem to be growing well so far.

Day 5 since time change to 12/12. Hey everyone ☺️. Finally the time has come :-) The lady moved into the flower tent on January 6th, 2021 😁. The day before, of course, a cutting was taken 👍. In the flowering tent, the distance between the plant and the lamp is 40 cm so that she can get used to the strength of the lamp. After 3-5 days I go down to 30 cm. This week it was watered twice with 1 l per plant. GHSC enhancers were added to one wash :-). Flower fertilizer will only be added in 12-16 days as soon as the first blossoms are there :-). Otherwise the tent was completely cleaned and the humidifier refilled. For the next few days I have filled fresh osmosis water in canisters again :-). Next week I will remove the bottom shoots so that the energy doesn't end up going into small popcorn buds 😉. Week 2 flower (day 9) the plants looks healthy and they straching everyday more and more its going to continue stretching till 3 from my experience. I added second trellis net (scrog) and raised the CO2 enrichment to around 1200 PPM, lights is on arouned 1000-1100 PPFD, I raised the nutrients EC to 2.0, so far so good. I noticed that the plants want more water they’re always hungry the want more and more. I never grow plant that drinks that much of water. Hehe. *update: Week 2 flower day 12 the ladies are starching alot every day, I keep an eye on them and I lift the lights every day. Don’t want to burn the them, I raise the EC to 2.1 2.2 .

All on track ✅ Thankfully I managed to top all four plants without causing too much stress. They all have shown really good growth since they where topped a few days ago so I plan to start some low stress training now to help even the canopy further. 🙏🌱🙏

I went away on vacation to Utah for a week so I wasn't able to update my grow journal at all unfortunately . She really exploded while I was gone she's roughly 14"tall x 17"wide. She is starting to give off a nice dank smell I had the carbon filter off but I switch it back on. The tents humidity will drop back to 35-40RH% because of this. I also switched the bloom lights back on so the temp is also going to rise up higher than 75F during the day. My guess is at night the tent hits a low of 62F but averages around 65F. The co2 bag has some awesome growth and Its Cleary producing co2 because this lady is praying towards her lights ! I 100% recommend using c02 bag for sure even though most places online will say its useless. DAY 40- Added tomato cage to help support it ! it is two feet exactly as of today! *New time lapse* 2/10/20- Took 2 cuttings for clones, she is a cool plant and id like to keep her genetics alive for breeding projects this summer =) lollipoped the bottoms a bit and defoliated the lower fan leaves as well. Temp is back to 80F and 38RH% 2/11/20- Did absolutely nothing but admire this beauty today ;) 2/12/20- Watered with Recharge (double the strength), Cal Mag, and Mammoth P at 6.5 Ph 2/13/20-NFTG mis flower feed

Not much to do except add water. Living soil is easy. This is a 10/10 plant. Can't wait for the first joint.

Day 49 - Lamp dostanę 45cm at 75% power. She is very wide (50cm) and short bushy plant covered with buds like blueberry's. The buds are getting from very nicely 👌

Lets see if my fem jizz condom works. I don't mind getting more seeds from the sweet girl Gonna be a bitch to trim but the sweet gum smell and frost make up for it.

Ended up with just over and oz between the two plants in the end like I said wasn’t expecting much off the as spent 2-3 weeks on the window ledge as seedlings :( overall easy grow but hate having to use the HPS

The plants look like vegetative phase II is starting, so I've added PK 13/14 to the nutrient solution this week. I have also replaced the light hangers and got the distance back to around 20-40cm. The CBD's leaves are curled up quite badly up top, but there isn't much I can do at this point. The other 2 tall plants don't seem to struggle as much with the light, at least judging by the leaves. The tall ones all have some burnt tips up top, which I assume is also partly related to the light - and maybe the clogging related dryback we had last week. For now everything seems to be back on track. I expect the plants to take at least another 3-5 weeks.

Ok, so I forgot to take any pics on week two and holiday time week 3 came up real fast. so we are going to skip over any of the week two details. just watered em and they grew. This week we did a nice little transplant into their final 2gal pots. Fortified with a bunch of amendments and Acti-Sol, everything is listed in the video. Any question just let me know. I don't age my medium at all and I think I should start doing this to avoid some other things, I just find it hard to do it in winter time indoors as soil can be stinky with amendments and I like it to stay in the tent under the carbon filter. Medium I used is 40% coir, 30% perlite, 20% compost, 10% vermiculite and 10% worm castings. Then the amendments are added into that at the rate of 30-60ml per 1Gal of medium. This batch has Gaia 4-4-4, Gaia Insect Frass, Giaia Diatomaceous Earth, Gaia Rock Dust, Acti-Sol Seaweed Meal, Acti-Sol Shrimp/Crab Meal, Acti-Sol 4-3-2, Acti-Sol 4-6-8 and Bokashi. Nice little mix, water it in with a bit of magnesium and microbes dissolved into the water. The bokashi should help break everything down and make a bit of a acidic environment for all the meals and rock dust to become available. Roots looked good, not a dense as some runs but still nice. I feel the soil might be a bit hot so will expect some burnage on them hopefully its nothing to crazy. Will ph down with a mix of citric, malic and ascorbic acids. They are in a rate of something like 50-60%/40-30%/5-10%, its written down in my of my notes just can't find the pad ATM. Also more videos vs anything this week. I like em more but processing them is annoying AF. Side note, my lights timer was on 12/12 not 16/8 so it explains why they went into bloom, switch it back and will top the plants next week one they start to reverse their ways and get comfortable in the new pots. Also got ride of the chive seed start as it was looking sad, plus I got a bunch of European chive varieties in the mail yesterday and want to try them out. see if they really have any different taste and what ones I like better. Start of Week 9 - Day 57 06/28: The ladies are looking amazing! Aaliyah and Alexis have a lot of buds coming up. Annie is starting her stretch, so I’ve been moving around some of the leaves that are blocking the light to the cola branches. As of now she’s standing at 20” from the top of the coco. Alexis is now at 27” and Aaliyah has reached a height of 30” from the top of the coco. That height definitely caught me off guard! Still keeping waterings at every day and a half and EC and pH levels in runoff are good. A few of the lower leaves on the plants have yellowed and withered up, but I think it’s just the plants themselves getting rid of leaves that aren’t getting light. Overall the ladies are looking great! Can’t wait to see how much progress they make this week. 06/30: Checked in the gals and by my surprise they have all grown two inches. Aaliyah is now 32” tall and has pretty much grown into the light. Luckily I went with the LEDs so there’s not much heat. Hand up to the light is still cooler than the sun on some days. Her buds have started forming and are now covered with pistils. Annie is still creeping her way into flowering and is now at 22”. Hopefully she doesn’t get as tall as Aaliyah. Alexis is now at 29”. I have to admit, I was worried Alexis wasn’t going to do well. She didn’t look as healthy as the other two when she was a seedling. But that has changed. She looks extremely healthy and although she is in a 3-gallon pot and isn’t as big as Aaliyah, she still has a lot of buds sites coming up. I’m glad she made it. More for the yield. 07/02: Watered the ladies. EC levels in runoff are good. pH in Aaliyah’s runoff is a little low, so I’m going to keep an eye on her. She’s now at 34” tall, but I tied her down. It was either this, or no light. Hopefully she takes it okay. Her buds are really starting to grow. Annie is now at 24”. She is currently on her stretch. Hopefully she doesn’t get as tall as Aaliyah. Alexis is at 32” and looking great. As of now I’ve seen no pests inside the tent, or on the trap I put up. But I did see a few flies while watering that looked more like fruit flies than fungus gnats. Hopefully they are and the pest problem is solved. 07/04: The ladies keep growing! Aaliyah is now at 33” because of the new bending, Alexis is at 34” (I just bent her main cola down), and Annie is at 25 1/2”. With Alexis at 34” she has also passed my light. Since Aaliyah seems to be doing okay with the bending, I decided to bend Alexis down as well. Annie is going into her stretch. Found a dead fly in tray and a live one on the trap. I guess my problems continue. I gave the ladies a good amount of water (4500mL for Annie!) and am going to leave the next watering for two days now. Hopefully this can help.
