With my upcoming vacation, I am going to be hardening off these ladies to relocate to their outside location. I checked the expected weather forecast for the week. Looks good to start hardening off. Partly cloudy with temps in the low to mid 80s just like in their tent. So that’s good. Night temperatures were in the 50-60s. This is much cooler than what they are used to as our house is at 73. They need to get used to what mother nature will provide. Our summers are hot and humid. I had planned to bring the plants back in the sunroom but since conditions were similar, I let them stay outside every night. And every night but 2 it rained. I did not water or feed nutrients this week. I am attempting the scrog technique on all plants. I am using a peony cage as the support structure. The cages are about 2 feet high. This may not be enough side or top support as she grows and may have to resort to tomato cages. Took pics May 6, 9, & 11 Fractal is a vigorous gal and gets very bushy after defoliation & training. Divine Seeds recommends keeping its Fractal profile wider and flatter. To achieve this, I am aggressively pinning down each branch coming off the main stalk while defoliating regularly to keep the top open. Today she has a beautiful, mounded canopy showing multiple bud sites. Her nodes are close but starting to spread out a bit. They remain even and balanced. Hoping that this week will not be a tennis match with my PH and my nutrient solution. Last week I saw my solution drop a full point in a matter of hours - consistently. I also ditched the PH up/down dosers crutch two grows ago, and I am not missing it as the intel is far better without them. IMO PH dosers do not give you real-time feeding feel from your plant - yet they adjust your PH to the "Perfect" level. Less is more in this craft, and in more ways than not. There is a balance between technology, automation, efficiency and most importantly - humans. If we removed the human element out of a grow, the product will be inferior, right? - trichome check showed mostly cloudy, with a few random amber if one looks hard enough. She’s ripening nice and reservoir running fairly normal for late flower. Wonder if that zero water filters-gone-bad caused my major PH crashes. Fed her KookBloom dry only this week and now in a 2 day flush. Should be about 10% amber.

Another week just cruising for the FBT1 : looks like she bulked just a bit. The last of the trichomes has turned cloudy, she's all cloudy now, no amber. So that means this is the last week before harvest ! She's also just wrapped up her third week of flush and last week of additive flush. Hopefully she'll be super smooth and delicious ! Right now she absolutely reeks of sour lemons , means she's gonna be a strong one I hope ! Clipped a few fan leaves and gonna chop her down and hang her whole. She's gonna be dried for a bit more than 12 days then jarred . Let's see what happens ! 🚀

I missed last week's diary but I did get these lady's transplanted last week and got the grow room all set up. I'm supper excited to start the training.

Yesterday i give her last PK nutrients. Last week only used it (BioBloom) one time so leaves will be turning yellow next days. Last week used 2 doses of Plagron Green Sensation which i get from my growshop as free sample. I am using last Sugar Royal dose(1 time each week - 27/9 -), and 3 more doses of Green Sensation (1ml/l every day - 27/9 - 28/9 - 29/9 -). I thought about harvesting around -30/9-, think buds can get fatter than they are today, but i will check trichomes from a microscope and then decide. We are at day 21 on this Cali snow and she is doing well. Takes training great and she hit a nice growth spurt at the beginning of the week. The girls are getting crowded but the setup is running like a well oiled machine. I will have to get them spread further apart somehow and they will be going under the QB lights soon. If I can keep the momentum going as smooth as it has been we might just get some late summer snow! Happy growing everyone.

Need to left the plant alone for a few days while we were on vacations but everything turned out fine. Hoping the new plant will grow fast enough to catch the speed with other plants.

04/09 - Started minor defoliation. Shes getting too bushy and blocking bud sites and causing moisture spots. Will remove a couple of leaves every other day for the next week. 05/09 - Full res change. Realised I mucked up the ratio. Went 35ml Micro, 25ml grow, (Shouldve been the other way around, so added an extra 10ml grow), 15ml Bloom and 15ml Silica. EC 1.4, PH 5.7. Will keep an eye on her and add some additional grow if she does alright. 06/09 - Minor defoliation. Removed about 12 leaves total so far. LST to spread the canopy a little more. PH stable at 5.8, EC at 1.4, Water level dropping. Seems to be stretching and pistils have begun to form! Responding well to the uptick in nutes from the res change. 07/09 - Leaf tucking, LST and took a leaf or two. Shes getting her stretch on for sure. PH stable at 5.8, EC stable at 1.4. Water level still dropping. 09/09 - After much deliberation, I ended up going for a fairly heavy defoliation session and am now going to leave her the hell alone until at least mid flower. I removed a large chunk of shaded leaves and bud sites and effectively ended up lollipopping her. I also removed all the old LST, and added a couple to pull leaves out of the way. The canopy remains largely unchanged, but shes much more airy now, and Im seeing far fewer damp spots where leaf perspiration has occured. Now to see if I can keep my hands off for a few weeks!

1/15 Day 85 from flip, which is about day 71 of flower. I think both are ready for the chop finally. Looking around the tent today I noticed most leaves up at the top were crispy and falling apart, so I went and trimmed all those off. Looking at trichomes for pheno 1, its pretty close to 50/50 clear and cloudy, but I’ve noticed the amber is really starting to come in. Pheno 2 is more cloudy than clear, and also with a decent amount of amber showing up. I don’t want a large amount of amber trichomes and think it’s about perfect right where it is, so even though both still have some clear I think it’s time to call it. Tomorrow will be chop.
