Judging by how these buds are looking, I think it's safe to say she is on the mend and pushing hard toward the finish line! ❤️‍? 📈 The Details / Progress Report: Resilience & Recovery: She took that massive haircut like an absolute champ. With all the old, damaged foliage out of the way, the airflow in the tent is perfect, and she is putting 100% of her energy right into those bud sites. Trichome Explosion: Just look at those macro shots! The sugar leaves and calyxes are completely buried in a thick, sticky layer of frost. The resin production is going crazy as she matures. ✨ Maturing Pistils: We are seeing a lot of those white hairs starting to turn a beautiful, fiery orange and curl inward. The colas are getting dense, swelling up perfectly, and really starting to look like finished flowers. 🔥 Clean Canopy: The lollipopping from last week is doing its job beautifully. The lower section is clean, the baby head is still holding down the soil, and the top canopy is totally optimized for light penetration. 👶💡 💧 Next Steps: The thrips seem to be a thing of the past, and she is recovering beautifully. The main goal right now is to keep the environment perfectly stable and start keeping a really close eye on those trichomes. We are getting into the late stages of flower, so it's all about coasting, letting her swell up even more, and waiting for that perfect harvest window. Let's keep it growing! 🌱💨

A good little plant with small buds but they seem to half almost no leaf to calex. And a high tricomb content. Would be a good one to breed with a plant that has large buds

So here we go in week 7 of 12/12. I'm currently having issues with my pH meter, or maybe my tank is just way to high on pH. It shows around 10.0 and that's not good so I truly hope it''s just a fault of the meter. I'm getting delivered new one today so I'm immediately gonna retest everything and give them looooong flush with correct pH and EC. EC shouldn't be too high and girls are very brave so far, I haven't really noticed any signs of nut burns or pH burns. Let's hope it's not gonna go wrong until new meter arrives, Other than that smell is pretty strong, I'd say maybe too strong even for me and I usually don't mind the aroma at all :) Together with new pH meter I'm getting new HPS bulb (the old one has already done 3 grows over 3 years), and dehumidifier, because I have had some issues with mould during my previous grows. I'd say 3 more weeks of feeding and 2 weeks of flush and we should be done. I wish I switched earlier because 2 plants can't really fit there and I accidentally snapped 2 main branches so I definitely want to avoid this next grow. Thanks for checking.

Fue una semana muy loca , temperaturas en el exterior hasta 40ºC y unas noches que no bajaban de los 28-29ºC. Una semana en la que terminé con el Bloom y el Silicio de Plagroon y volvi a Bloom y Silicio de TopCrop. Plagroon abonado cada riego, Top crop abonado una vez por semana.

End of a great autoflower grow with the Royal Gorilla Auto by Royal Queen Seeds. They were fun to grow, very easy to grow plants that never complained. The smell of the final flower is great, reminds me of green apples. A very well balanced strain with great effects, can recommend the Gorillas for sure. At the beginning of the diary it were 4 plants but I put one outside as soon as they started flowering, so one is actually still outside growing, will be ready in a week. So the total harvest was from 3 plants.

💜 Purple CousKush Auto by Zamnesia | Pheno A | Week 8 (Flower Week 5) 🌱 She Bent. She Bounced Back. And She Kept Building. There are weeks in a grow where everything goes exactly according to plan. And then there are weeks where life happens. The room is busy. The outside world keeps moving. There are a thousand things happening at the same time... And occasionally, one of the plants reminds you that even the best plans still require us to pay attention. This week, Purple CousKush Pheno A taught me that lesson. I underwatered her. Nothing catastrophic. Nothing that caused lasting damage. But enough that when I looked at her, the leaves had completely dropped. She was thirsty. Very thirsty. And this is actually an important distinction for anyone following the diary: A controlled dry-back is not the same thing as allowing a flowering plant to become so dry that she starts wilting. The first can be part of an irrigation strategy. The second is simply me missing the watering window. 😂 So we corrected it. She received her water. We gave her time to recover. And by the following day... She was back. And not only was she back... She was ready for her next chapter. 💧 The Underwatering Lesson When a plant becomes this thirsty, the first thing I look for isn't panic. I look at the plant. Leaves dropping dramatically from a lack of available water is usually a very different visual story from nutrient toxicity, heat stress or a root-zone problem. In this case, the explanation was simple. She needed water. After watering, she recovered beautifully. That quick recovery was reassuring and also a good reminder that plants can be remarkably resilient. Still, during this stage of flowering, it's something I want to avoid repeating. I personally prefer being slightly more conservative with irrigation rather than keeping the root zone constantly saturated. But there's a difference between allowing a healthy dry-back and pushing the plant far enough that she has to start waving a little white flag. This week, Purple CousKush definitely waved it. Message received. 😂 I will do my best not to make her wave it again. ✂️ From Recovery Straight Into Defoliation Perhaps the most impressive part was what happened next. Once she had recovered and returned to normal posture, I gave her another day and then performed the flowering defoliation. This was part of the broader room strategy we've been following. The objective wasn't to strip her. It wasn't because she suddenly looked unhealthy. And it wasn't because every leaf needed to disappear. The goal was simply to clean up the canopy and remove foliage that was no longer contributing much to the plant's structure. Some of the interior and lower areas had become crowded, and selectively removing those leaves created more open space between the flowering sites. More room for air. More room for light. More room for the plant to breathe. And with the Lumiflora under-canopy lighting now part of the system, we're also able to observe which lower flowering sites are actually worth keeping. The plant herself will tell us. 🌿 She Took It Like Nothing Happened This is probably my favourite part of the entire week. After being underwatered... She recovered. After being defoliated... She didn't miss a beat. She's standing there looking beautiful, healthy and completely ready to continue flowering. No prolonged setback. No dramatic reaction. No hesitation. Just... Back to work. And honestly, that's exactly what I love about this phenotype. She has been one of the more energetic plants in this room from the beginning. She stretched. She branched. She built an impressive framework. She started stacking flowers. And now she's moving deeper into the part of flowering where that structure needs to start paying for itself. 💜 Week 5 Flower – The Structure Is Paying Off At approximately 125 cm, Purple CousKush Pheno A has become one of the taller and more distinctive plants in this room. Her Christmas-tree-like architecture has become even more obvious. A strong central leader rises through the canopy while numerous side branches form their own flowering towers around her. And now, after defoliation, that architecture is even easier to see. The plant has space. The branches are separated. The flowering sites have room around them. And the entire structure feels much more open. This is exactly what I want at this stage. We're no longer trying to build the plant. We're trying to help the plant finish what she already built. 🌸 Flowers Are Taking Over The flowers continue developing along virtually every major branch. Those bright pistils that were appearing last week are now becoming part of increasingly defined flowering clusters. The buds are beginning to gain substance. The calyxes are stacking. And the first layer of frost that appeared earlier is becoming increasingly visible. This is the beautiful transition where the plant starts looking less like a collection of flowering sites and more like an actual flowering plant. She's not finished. Not even close. But the direction is very clear. She's building. And she's building everywhere. 💡 Photons, Air & Open Space This is another reason I decided to clean her up. Defoliation isn't about magically creating more light. The photons are already there. What we're trying to do is improve how effectively that light can travel through the canopy. Every unnecessary leaf sitting directly above another flowering site can intercept some of that light. Every dense pocket of foliage can also interfere with airflow. By selectively removing some of those leaves, we create pathways. Light can travel deeper. Air can move more freely. Humidity has fewer opportunities to become trapped between dense layers of foliage. And the under-canopy lighting can interact with the lower structure more effectively. It's a little like opening windows in a house. We're not creating more air. We're simply giving the air better places to go. 🌱 Same Genetics. Different Story. One of the most rewarding things about this 8×8 Adventure continues to be the diversity happening inside one room. Twelve different genetic expressions. Same general environment. Same cultivation philosophy. Same room. Yet every plant writes her own story. Purple CousKush Pheno A has always been one of the plants that seems to have somewhere to go. She's taller. She's more energetic. She keeps producing structure. And even after a little reminder from me this week that she needed a drink... she's right back there doing her thing. That's genetics. We can guide. We can train. We can manage the environment. We can manage irrigation. Not because the plant is struggling. Quite the opposite. Because she's growing beautifully, and I don't want a preventable watering mistake interrupting that momentum again. A healthy dry-back is part of irrigation management. A wilted plant is my reminder to look at the clock. 😂 🌡️ Environment The room continues providing a stable environment for the entire 8×8 Adventure: Light schedule: 12/12 PPFD: approximately 850–1,000 across the canopy Day temperature: 29°C Night temperature: 25°C Relative humidity: 60% Solution temperature: 21°C Root-zone temperature: 21°C CO₂: approximately 639 ppm The stability of this environment is what allows a mistake like underwatering to remain just that: a mistake. Not a disaster. The plant was healthy before it happened. The environment remained stable. The root zone was given water. And she recovered quickly. That's one of the reasons I put so much importance on the entire ecosystem rather than chasing one individual number. 🔮 Looking Ahead Now that the defoliation is complete and she's recovered, I'm expecting Purple CousKush to put her energy where we want it most. Into the flowers. The vertical stretch should continue slowing down. Flower clusters should continue stacking along those long branches. The calyxes should begin swelling more noticeably. And resin production should become increasingly obvious as she moves deeper into bloom. I'm particularly interested in watching how the cleaned canopy performs over the next couple of weeks. More airflow. Better light movement. Less unnecessary foliage. And hopefully... no more thirsty ladies waving their leaves at me. 😂 💭 Final Thoughts – A Little Reminder From The Plant This week wasn't perfect. And I'm actually glad it wasn't. Because growing isn't about pretending everything goes perfectly every day. It's about learning to read the plants. Purple CousKush told me she was thirsty. I listened. She recovered. Then she let me clean her up. And now she's standing there looking absolutely beautiful, waiting for the next chapter. I still genuinely prefer a slightly cautious approach to watering rather than constantly keeping the root zone saturated. But there's a lesson here: Dry-back can be intentional. Wilting is communication. And this girl communicated very clearly. 😂 I'll do my best not to make her repeat herself. For now, she's healthy. She's recovering beautifully. She's been defoliated. She's producing flowers. She's getting frosty. And she's continuing to prove why she earned her place in this 8×8 Adventure. Sometimes the plant teaches us through perfect growth. Sometimes she teaches us by dropping every leaf in the room and saying: "Hey, Doctor... Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But getting larger! --- Solution strength was at 248 PPMs. --- Just topped off with a bit of distilled water --- PH went up to 6.1 so PH'd down to 5.8 --- Ran the top feed for a bit to wet the hydroton. - [2130]: She's looking even more yellow now. --- Even the new leaves are really yellow. --- Decided to add more base nutes. --- Added 4ml of Sensi A --- Added 4ml of Sensi B --- Now at about --- Solution Strength went up to 304 PPM. --- PH was at 6, --- Also raised the water level a bit more. --- I really hope it's a nutrient deficiency and not an over-watering issue. --- Please live! Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looking less droopy. But still yellow. --- Decided to do a reservoir change. --- 4.5gal of distilled water --- 8ml of Sensi Grow A --- 8ml of Sensi Grow B --- 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- 4ml of B-52 --- 4ml of CaliMagic --- 4ml of Hydroguard --- 4 drops of Superthrive --- PH'd down to 5.8 --- Solution strength: 302 PPM --- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm). --- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice? --- I hope she gets better soon! - [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow. --- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear. --- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon. --- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton. --- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM. --- Added 8ml more of Sensi A --- Added 8ml more of Sensi B --- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water. --- PPMs went up to 411. --- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay. --- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1. Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looks like more root growth! --- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky. --- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8. --- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs --- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot. - [2200]: Root is getting longer! --- Slime is returning. Not sure why. --- Solution strength: 357 PPMs --- PH: 6.1 --- Decided to add an enzyme along with more beneficial bacteria to hopefully cure the slime. --- Added 16ml of Sensizym --- Added 5ml of Hydroguard --- Added 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- New solution strength: 430 PPMs --- New PH: 6.1 --- Top fed for a minute. --- This slimy residue is really freaking me out! I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime. --- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl! Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011 ----------------------------------- - [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now! --- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured! --- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients. --- Added 8ml of Sensi A --- Added 8ml of Sensi B --- Added 4ml of B-52 --- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.1 --- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best. As you can see both plants exploded over the last 7 days and they stretched a lot during their first week in Flower.😎 😎💪 Lemon Cherry (left) now finally starts growing well and looking very healthy now. Papaya (right) ist procucing all the small sidebrnaches with buds, that i hoped for. 😍👏

Flowering day 78 since time switch to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested and hung upside down in the dry tent 😍. Before that, she stood in the drying tent in complete darkness for 2 days and the large leaves were removed. The small leaves stay attached during the drying process so that they protect the buds and allow them to dry more slowly and evenly :-) . In the dry tent, the temperature is 18-19.5 degrees and the humidity is 54-58% 👍. In this environment they are now allowed to hang for 10-14 days before they are fine-tuned and trimmed clean by hand. then after trimming they come to ferment for 6-12 weeks in dark jars with bobeda packs 62% to keep the perfect humidity. After a few weeks, the Boveda packs 58% are used so that they can slowly dry out :-) . Of course there is one last update after trimming. Until then, I wish you a lot of fun with the update.
