This grow is going to be really interesting. I have never grown sativa dominant hybrids before because I was always scared I would not have enough room. However, last season I had a really good run growing VERY short plants (see Mighty Minis) and it got me thinking, why not. So here we are; I'm growing 1 Blue Dream and 1 MelonSicle this round. Both are Sativa hybrids so I am hoping the stretch will not be too intense; no more than 2.5 original height before flowering. The blue dream I bought with the previous rounds of clones I got because I have herd that if trained well, this plant can PRODUCE. The plan is to continuously top, and train until the MelonSicle has caught up and is ready for flower. I will have the room to flower about 2 months from now so this Blue Dream is going to be a 2/2 table top by the time I am ready. Very excited about this one, also a little nervous.

I've not had to trim any fan leaves they have all died on their own and I have just picked them off with tweezers apologies for the video I don't know what happened but I add smoked a doobie before 😂😵‍💫

After the 9th week of flower she came to get dried for 12 days then trimmed and placed in jars for the cure. Now here we are on day 55 of the cure. I must say this stuff is oh so sticky! It's absolutely covered in resin head to toe. When I smell the jar it smells extremely appealing. Taking after her parent Afghani her nose has a kushy gassy smell that makes you want to keep your nose right in that jar. After throwing some in my grinder I roll her up into a raw paper and light her up! On the inhale it's sweet like sugar then on the exhaul she's still sweet but with hints of gas. The effects are almost immediate. You can feel it in your face and eyes then slowly works down to the body to bring a heavy indica stone. This stuff is very strong and I usually use it for evening use. I can see this being highly medicinal for people suffering from insomnia and pain. Let me say one more thing. This stuff leaves a fantastic flavor on the palate after smoking. It is also oh so smooth after the long cure. Thank you Green House Seed CO for being the legends that changed the cannabis world 🙏

Day 29, I’ve been slowing a little bit with fer too loser as I m going into flow and I used an all mix soil from biobizz that’s already charged with an high ec, I don’t wanna risk any over, I left it for one week with just water and regulator, the development of roots will help to absorbs the ec present in the soil so I will restart to fertilise next week. I’m using the complete line from aptus and I’m really satisfied I see how healthy the littles are. I will have my lamp 40 cm for this week and I’ll Move to 33 at the end of this week Day 32 this OS is flowering supersoeedy, I can already see buds, i had one of last lst just give her a more clean structure. I stopped to fertilise in the last 5 days, I just gave ph controlled water and yesterday 0.5 lt of water with just regulator and calmag. I wanted the plant to eat all the nutrients I gave during veg, I think this worked pretty well as I I saw her growing every day and I can. See an healthy nice green on leaves . I think that max tomorrow I’ll start again with fertiliser. Day 33 the orange sherbert is really running fast. I restarted feeding her today, flowering feedings started. Let’s goo Let’s goo!!

A few had issues with the 24 hrs light sa few plants were getting yellow tips resembling light burn. So I added a teaspoon of Epsom salt and coffee grounds. Looks like the plants have bounced back. That’s a sigh of relief!

Grew very fast - typical for Sweet Seeds - and really nice dense buds. Looking forward to vaping this :)

These girls are impressive! There in 485ml pots (solos) and have grown to an impressive 24” the flowers are developing famously and can see fft7 has fades coming through on the leaves so expecting some flavours on her! She also has one main stem shorter than the other by a considerable amount! As for fft10-11 they both have great structure and have even tops and the flowers are developing with finesse! Loved all these testers can’t wait for the release so I know what strains they are!

Day 35: Well switched over this week to my bloom nutes. My previous watering I had mentioned I used SledgeHammer just to wash out the residues from my grow nutes. She actually seemed to take that well and watered her today to kick off week 5. Really starting to have her own smell and its already smelling awesome. Can't wait to see this lady start to pick up some weight. 🙌 Day 38: This lady is just stacking up man and the most beautiful colors are shining thru def gonna be a low yield but for me the quality is always better than quantity 👌 ✨

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. This being my first time growing auto's, I didn't know what to expect. Out of the gates they grew rapidly, last week they seemed to slow a bit and started to flower. Plant #1 seems to be growing slightly faster than #2, but not by much. The SOG on each of these spans 18'' x 18''. I have trained these girls much more than I normally do, and am very happy I did so. I have looked around at other diary's that have ran these GSC and I am anxious to see what this week brings!

High temperatures and nutrient burn. At this point i have no idea what i am doing. Every now and then SD2 and SD3 release typical weed smell but apart from that no other smell. The stems upon rubbing and touching smell like cinammon,cloves and orange zest.It reminds me of fanta drink.

An easy to grow strain that provides quality over quantity. The smoke is quite potent and has floral and kush aromas. Very strong floral flavour
