Day 65, 17th of November 2020: Welcome back at the beggining of the 3rd week of flowering. They seem to be stopped streching and now concentrating on buds. All of them are gorgeous..... The 2 Zamnesia genetics Gelato and Kalini Asia are pretty and buds are forming nicely. Kalini Asia might strech a bit more but not long. The Sweet Seed ones are really nice and I am so happy because Red Hot Cookies is already getting red.... pistils and around the leaves.. I hope the same happens to the Red Mandarine and Tropicanna Poison also. They are so gorgeous. They calmed down I don't expect more strech. Fertilization still the same every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. Some lollipopping (Defoliation) is also done. I removed all the LST the plant remains in the same shape from now. The lamp is on 11.30 min and off 12.30 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -30 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.30 pm.

She's been drinking a lot of water recently about a gallon a day with very little run off and the buds are starting to fatten up as a result. I'm gonna need to find a way to prop them up. So i don't get my heart broken again. Still producing frost. Each day im amazed every time I open the tent. The trichomes are about 5% amber so we still have 2 or 3 weeks to go. The struggle is real Although we've decided to use Gaia Green the next run Emerald Harvest has been great and definitely has a place in our garden.

Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

Plant is the smallest of the bunch and seems to be showing a bit of elongation mutation at the beginning but she’s still green and growing. I’m sure she’ll grow out of this stage soon. Can’t wait to see. 1/9/24 Transplant day today. Can’t wait to watch them grow!

This week has been sunny, hot and wet. I have not done a thing except to keep an eye on Miss Gorilla Cookies. It has been a hot and rainy week and I did not feed this plant this week. That is why I did not record Ph levels and PPM, etc this week. I have really wanted to give this diary an honest, straight up review of Gorilla Cookies growing in whatever Mother Nature threw her way. She is tall and thin but has a lot of bud growth. I am eager to see how big her buds will get. One thing that I have not been super pleased with is using Miracle Grow as a nutrient. This outside grow was an experiment using Miracle and not my typical Fox Farm nutrients. At this point in my grow, Miracle Grow needs to remain for garden vegetables and flowers NOT cannibas. As a result, I have made an Executive Decision and will going add some @Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the remainder this grow. @Hindugod and I have been growing our Gorilla Cookie plants simultaneously and his plants look thicker than mine do. His weather has not been as hard on his plants as I have had here in Virginia. He is also using different nutrients. The grow went well considering the circumstances. 3 grows horizontally until flower and needs support for the branches as the buds got so big. 2 was easier to manage it didnt need much support. Theres no waste from this strain, barely any trim and the trim there is is smokable it's so covered in frost. My meter got out of wack in late flower and I ended up giving a heavy feed which burnt the tips of the buds.

Flushing continues...

Started to dial down the nutrients, can already see a slight colour change in the leaves as they start to turn autumn colours with the reduced nitrogen Did a flush/refresh of the roots using florakleen 0.5ml/Litre and left it in the reservoir for 2 days before dumping and adding fresh nutrients. The roots look bright white afterwards where they were nutrient stained a reddish brown before. I swapped the side light from the left side to the right side to promote some more bud development on that side lower down Happy with how the plants are looking but I had hoped that the buds would be a little fatter by this stage. Clear winner so far is the bruce banner which has by far the biggest and most dense buds, then the gorilla glue next, then the blue dream although her buds are tall and skinny, then the gsc comes next with the critical last, most of the buds on the critical are still very small (it's the shortest plant and furthest away from the light)

What another great week it’s been! We are now into week 2 of veg an we are looking great! This week we will begin on full veg feed , 1/2tsp rapid, 3tsp CaliMagic, 2 tsp Floramicro, 1tspfloraNovabloom, an 3tsp of Veg an we mix to pure water PHd at 6.5!we will continue this schedule 3 times a week till we decide to flip to flower, but let’s take it day by day! A great week of growth and development. Did a small defoliation, and clean of the tent. The girls are very leafy, and some of that needed to go to increase air flow and prevent issues from developing. Love this time of growing as there is not much to do, but watch the buds stack!
