This week I upped the Coco Grow nutrients to half strength, I was worried that it might be too big of a jump up but she seems to have taken it in her stride and is showing some nice growth. The next time you see her she'll be topped and re-potted into a 5L air pot.

We’ve now reached the third week of flowering, and I’m thrilled with how well my plant is doing! I adjusted the nutrients recently, and it’s definitely made a difference. The plant seems to be thriving, and the leaves are showing a vibrant green, indicating that it’s getting exactly what it needs. Even more exciting, the trichomes are starting to form all over the buds, and there’s no shortage of them! It’s amazing to see so many trichomes developing this early on, giving the plant a frosty look already. The overall growth is still going strong, and the buds are getting fuller. I’m really happy with the progress so far and can’t wait to see how things continue in the coming weeks. I hope this nutrient adjustment keeps everything on track for a great harvest!💚🌱

It's been a beautiful strain to work with, the flowrs are definitely worth it after all this time, the quality is definitely high. However this pheno of ak420 smells very different from the other 2 phenos I've grown along with her. The flowrs are beautiful, very solid and frosty nuggets, I smoked a few little nuggets when trimming but I'm excited to taste the big buds, hope you guys enjoyed the process. I want to say that this pheno #1 has a different smell compared to the other 2 phenotypes of ak420 that you can see here on my page as well, so stay tuned guys! Overall result is very nice, good quality, strong weed, sticky, stinky. Just been watering when I notice the soil is dry

This week I started feeding them, just some organic BAC Grow and Calmag 2.0 and added some molasses for feeding the micro-life. I put the SP-3000 a little stronger until leaves started to pray a little. Keeping the humidity and temps in the ideal zone. I see the plants really enjoy this and I was growing a bit on the dry side with my other grows. I'm looking at my options for fimming or topping auto's, my experience is, don't mess with them too much. This is also why I chose to not over-pot them. They started in a cup of seedling soil surrounded by super soil. They have been growing though and are going faster by the day now. Coming days I will make the decision to top / fim or just LST only... Thank you for checking me out again. Hug Bud

Been a few weeks, growth is moving along smoothly. Been tying down all the taller tops and I watered them with some compost tea. In a few weeks, I’ll be transplanting them one last time and will be flipping to flower a week after transplanting. So 3 weeks from now I’ll be transitioning to flower. Until next update ✊🏾

Day 22: approx. 5-7 roots 10-20cm long are coming out of inner pot. Day 25: Alright, I got another big accident. I guess lowest link of stem was damaged from my burn attack in 1st week. So it broke by weight of the plant - not bend but really broke with only a small part connecting roots with higher stem links remaining. I added substrate covering the broken area and gave a support to bring her back in vertical position. I am so sorry for this plant - considering the 1st week I have as good as killed her 2 times already. I will watch her, providing most possible comfort I can give, for couple of days. Lets hope she manage to solve this issue as well. Added air stone pump into waterfarm outer pot. Removed 4-5 damaged/burned lower leaves. Day 28: lights timer locked and didn't switch off for night time. I noticed that only during following night. Otherwise everything is fine, seems like she recovers well. A real pleasure to watch this beauty grow :) Will provide remaining pics & video for this week approx on Tue or Wed.

Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. This is a lengthy diary but I hope that people can learn some stuff from my notes shall they read them! Thanks to everyone that followed the journey, showed support or just browsed through. So another week ticked off, with all going to plan so far. Plants all responding well to training (just lst & some tactical defoliation). All are showing their first pistils so expecting them to start stretching any time now. Only plain dechlorinated ph’d water so far into my home made dry amended soil / coco / castings mix. Will top dress at the next watering and perhaps a compost tea at the end of this / start of next week. As for the smoking, I have started to smoke a little of the strawberry pie auto from last harvest which is just starting to cure. I might even prefer it to the gorilla cookies, it’s so dank. Therefore a little bit cross with myself for not including at least 1 this round. Still, first world problems I guess. Anyway thanks for reading, have a great week. 😊

Not much has really changed this week from last week. They are starting to swell up a bit more. Next week I think will be the time to start flushing them.

Tangerine Dream Auto - Barney‘s Farm Mein erster Indoor Keller-Grow neigt sich dem Ende zu. Es ist bunt geworden im Zelt. Die erste Blüte habe ich bereits vaporisiert und bin ziemlich begeistert vom Geschmack und der Wirkung. Leider habe ich aufgrund persönlicher Umstände nicht im Ansatz geschafft hier ein paar Tagebücher zu führen. Es war für mich ein extrem stressiger Winter und ich bin froh, dass ich wenigstens regelmäßig ein paar Fotos machen konnte. Der Anbauraum hatte zwischen den Pflanzen gemessen eine Minimaltemperatur von 17,4 Grad und während der Vegetationszeit konnte ich die Auto-Damen Tagsüber mit bis zu 28 Grad unter einer Sanlight Evo 4-120 1,5 verwöhnen. 18/6 - Licht/aus. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit war in der Veggiephase bei ca. 65-75 Prozent im Zelt und in der Blütephase konnte ich sie Stück für Stück absenken auf 55-43 zum Ende hin. Gedüngt habe ich ein einziges Mal mit 1:20 sauberem Urin am Ende der dritten Woche. Ansonsten gieße ich auf das Terra Preta ähnliche Substrat ausschließlich mit hartem Leitungswasser mit Ph 7,6. Das Substrat wurde kurz nach der Sämlingsphase mit einer dicken Schicht Laub, Braun- und Grünschnitt Mulch abgedeckt, welchen ich zuvor dreißig Minuten bei 150 Grad im Ofen gedämpft habe (Sterilisation). Es kamen Nematoden, Raubmilben und Gelbtafeln zum Einsatz, weil wir mit einer ziemlich unangenehmen Trauermückenplage zu kämpfen hatten. Anfang der Blütephase kam es zu einer Nährstoffblokade aufgrund von Überwässerung. Das Substrat hält die Feuchtigkeit sehr lange und die Mulchschicht verhinderte ein Austrocknen des Substrats. Wir haben anfangs deutlich Zuviel gegossen und das Substrat nicht etwas austrocknen lassen. Nach Anpassung des Gießintervalls auf alle drei Tage mit ca. 2-2,5 Liter, löste sich das Problem nicht in Luft auf, aber wir konnten es aufhalten. Meine Pflanzen sind bereits geerntet und hängen zum Trocknen. Viel Spaß mit den farbenfrohen Bildern. Happy Growing! 💚

26.12.24: I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves. To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants. After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6. 29.12.24: So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small. I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! 😁 there are videos above with before and after of my LST process. I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes!
