7.5.25: I retied down the branches on RQS Northern Lights auto. I had to clean the tent, so the opportunity had to be taken, I hope not to have to move them again. I ended up snapping a small branch off another plant 😖 She is looking so big out of the tent, and even bigger than I thought! Now, having readjustmed, the fabric ties, and she is looking even larger still. This really is an absolute giant of a plant! 😱 I really am struggling to get them all in, I think the 8 gallon pots were a definite factor in that. They certainly are great for getting big plants, but be prepared if you have a small space. She's still stretching and not really focusing on her bud development in these mid flowering weeks. I think we will be in for a long haul with this lady. I hope she doesn't get too much bigger. I watered some bloom nutes after I top dressed, with Mega Crop Part A by Greenleaf Nutrients. I watered 3.2 litres PPM:745 PH:6.0. This time, I'm going to keep the top dressing moist. So as not to kill all the beneficial microbes. Other than that, I will wait until the pots are light again. Overall, she is doing great, I wish she had stretched a little more evenly to catch up in height. I just can't even out the canopy anymore. I'll leave it and hope she'll sort herself out 😅 I'm very excited to see what happens next! This is going to be crazy whatever happens! 😍😋 8.4.25: Northern lights had dried out significantly, so I watered with 2 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. Containing per litre: ♡ 1/4 tsp of Greenleaf nutrients Sea K(elp). PPM: 800 PH: 6.4 I don't want the top dress to dry out too much, and the plants are starting to drink much more. 9.5.25: It's a necessity to keep the soil moist. That means I need to water more often now. Today I watered with 1.5 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 which contained: ♡ 1/5 tsp of Sea K(elp). By Greenleaf nutrients ♡ 1/4 tsp Ecothrive Biosys. PPM: 564 PH: 6.4 12.5.25: Northern Lights has been srayed with the foliar spray and all symptoms have resolved. Due to having a few leaves burnt with that, I've decided to use the Ecothrive Trace in the water instead. It left some orange spots of damaged leaves. And just like that, month number two is over! What started out as just a little seedling has quickly grown into a plant nearly a meter tall. This week, it drank two liters of nutrient enriched water. I stopped using Bloom A and B to make room for Atami’s Blossom Builder. Are you ready for next week?

Week 1 of the latest cycle and starting out with some new hardware and an expanded grow print👍. We’re running 4 autos via a recirculating Dutch bucket system. First time on a dutchy so it’s gonna be interesting to see how it stacks up against DWC. I’ll give a full rundown on the system I’ve cobbled together on the next update. So far - all seedlings have germ’d without issue using the standard p-towel method. Why more people don’t use this method on GD is beyond me. It’s so reliable that some breeders even warranty your seeds if you use this method and more than 1 seed fails to crack. We’ve got little sprouts coming up now and it’s all just waiting for those first couple fan leaves to come out and those roots to run to the bottom of each bucket. They’ve been placed in root riot cubes (essentially a version of rapid rooters) like most of our runs and I’d recommend their use with all autos. Time and stress on young autos is key so they need the absolute best start you can give them👌. End of week update - looks like we got 4 quality little seedlings here👍. Alls good other than battling a ph issue for most of the week. Keeps spiking overnight for no real reason - hopefully it’ll even out and isn’t the early sign of a major problem🤞. Background The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Room is starting to yellow out too soon. Going to hit with a full strength feeding today. I’m still hoping for more swell by day 29. Although for my first indoor run I’m pretty happy. I know what to do for next round and got a sick game plan. The blackberry breath pheno is looking almost done already. I hope it continues to swell because it’s already thick as fuck. I found a small underdeveloped pollen sack on the slurricane #4 that scared the shit out of me. I chopped it off and inspected the whole plant but only found the 1.

Welcome to week 2 of my Bubblegum XL diary, genetics by Royal Queen seeds. Looks beautifull, no starting problems. Grows fast since day 1. Small full spectrum burple cob light is doing its job very good, and as you can see the plant is growing as we like it to. Things is getting big and fat in here. Flush is on for 2 of the blueberries. Last one is abit behind. Straight water from the tap. Very smelly in the tent when i open it.

Day 21-28: - watering plants 1l/every 2 days - was on a trip humidifier didn't run Big shout out to my mom watering my plants while I was away.

Day 83 Day 41 Flower This Royal Creamatic has done amazingly well. I'm very impressed royal queen seeds!! She has finalised, soil has returned to dry, I also did 24hrs of darkness on last day to help boost trichome development, not sure if worked or not but she is very tasty looking! Trichomes now seeing amber and pinks they look amazing, the smell is unreal, a caramel sweet hint then BANG straight gas to the nose and throat 😂 safe to say she'll be a hitter 💪💚 Overall I'm impressed with what I achieved from a 3gal fabric pot, on a whim I threw 3 seeds in, kept 2. Topped one, and found this strain prefers to just have lst and support during flower as she does present some dense flowers 🙌 I have a wet bud weight of 570g. Trimmed wet buds are 423g Wet trim 47g I will be hanging for 7-10 days, possibly 14 due to size of nuggets 😅. I'll update dry weight then 🤞 Bud dry weight 287g!! It smells incredible! Gassy, pungent straight to the nose, but then it's a sweet caramel / vanilla tone. Smoking - 😍😋, damn, my partner only had 4-8drags normally, but she described this one as a caramel biscuit ice cream, that tasted that good she smoked past the high 🤦‍♂️😂🤣🚀🚀 She was off, half a joint and done. Giggles, munchies, sex sleep. I enjoyed. It on the other hand, straight the eyes, dry throat, munchies as soon as stubbed out. Then we had amazing connection s+x 😁. The end is in sight, likely in 2 weeks, they are producing compact and sticky buds, looks like it is going to be easy to trim, so little leaves in those buds! They smell fruity, earthy, fuel and a very strong kush base with lemon on one of my pheno, the second one is a little smaller and she smells more like carame&peaches in a kush sauce lol absolute beauties!

Starting to ripen a lot this week and put on more size on the buds, she is getting near the end very happy with how she is going, swapped my light schedule back to 20/4 for last few weeks, Started giving her some PK also.

4/20 has arrived! Seedsman reached out to me to be apart of their 420 grow off! Thank you SEEDSMAN! They sent me a 5 pack of Gorilla gas F1 Fast seeds and I just put 4 in some wet paper towels. Soon they will be moved to their pots where they will stay for the remainder of the grow. I am really excited about this strain to see what characteristics it will show with all 4 plants growing in the tent. Stay tuned. I will be posting weekly picture and video updates as well as a detailed summary of the week.

Final week for Northern Lights Auto!!! Already started flushing. She smells wonderful buds are sticky and sweet. I'm quite happy with the result of this grow! Burned the majority of leaves in late flower & she still was able to produce some nice buds. 💪

My plants are doing better with more heat and less light. My light is turned down to 30%. I installed a oil heater so the tent stays above 80 even during lights out. My plants have never looked healthier. Changing off of my veg nutes and going to flower dosages.

Northern Lights is really starting to take off. She's growing so fast, and her leaves are finally getting that deep, dark green color I love. I can almost imagine her soaking up all that beautiful sunlight. I think I'll need to repot her soon, this pot's looking a little cramped. I can't wait to see how big she gets by the end of the summer!
