Poor Skunk Apple really is the runt of the litter. I think we can blame my rookie mistake of giving it a gallon of water that was way too strong. It's been struggling to recover ever since. Hopefully this little guy will catch up eventually, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Well, another year has come and gone. Yesterday was New Year's Eve, and I want to wish all of you a happy and healthy 2025. May this year bring you all the things you've been wishing for. Let's make this the best year yet! I can't believe how much my plants have grown during this stretch! It's like they've been on some serious plant steroids. They've all at least doubled in size, some of them even more. I have a hard time with overwatering, especially now that it's harder to let them dry out. I just don't know if I'm damaging the roots with all this growth.

This was a fun project that was a few years in the making and a year later to see if they would last a season for this upload to happen. Before any of this I would bike aorund town grabbing up all the old Ikea solid pine bed slats that I could find and storing them in the basement. I have a lot of wood down there, any size worked as long as I have enough of them. The hot days to find them were the first and last of the months because that's when people where moving in/out. I also kept an eye on the free section on local online classifieds as well. The entire purpose of this was to recycle as much off the streets as I could before buying anything to finalize the project. In the end I only bought sealer, screws and some takeaway/beers. All the wood was 100% free and salvaged off the streets of Toronto saving it from the dumpster bin. After collecting all the slats for about 2 years I was playing aorund with them on how I wanted to make this work. I had previously done a little project like this before but I messed it up and the boxes where crap. did not last longer then 2 seasons, they where thin and shallow as well could not grow much of anything in them. I Was talking to my friend who is renovating their house and we brainstormed some ideas on the boxes, I found some designs I liked online and said lets make something like this out of what I have here. We tossed out a few of the design features when looking at them as it would have been wasted wood and extra work not needed. If I had more wood them maybe it could have been an option but simple was the name of the game. They taught me what I needed to know like how the miter saw and sander worked, plus all the other tools I was using. They did help out with a table saw and creating the triangle support joints in the corners, They used some pine left overs they had while making a staircase indoors. I did not feel up to the task of using a table saw given all the relatives I know who have lost a finger to them. In the end we decided the design would be three boards high and take an alternating pattern on corners. layer one short, layer 2 long, layer 3 short. Went with a galvanized and painted deck screw so it can take the weathering. Ran into some problems like making everything level as some of the boards were warped and other ones had undesired aspects like knots and tacky sticker goo I could not remove. So I used them for the base that will not been seen so much. Clamped everything down and called it a day. Once it was all done and over with, I then brought them back home from my buddies work garage and started to seal them. I went with a boiled linseed oil as its a food safe option should the wood degrade into the soil I will plant in them. I will need to reapply it to the boxes year after year but the main coat is the most important one and I put it on 3 layers with a good dry in between coats. the inside of the boxes that where coated did not degrade at all as the sun did not hit them so it will not need a new coat just the outside. Overall the end result was very impressive for myself, I've never taken a woodworking class ever and It was a near perfect outcome for me. Heavy Duty Planter Boxes for all my gardening needs. I made a last min decision to add in a plastic liner to preserve the wood even longer and stapled that into the frame. it has held up quite well and may need replacing end of 2nd or 3rd year out in the sun. Week was crazy, I needed to cut a plant that my wife found out (lucky me) was a hermie and thanks to the comments I think It was the best choice. I'm drying it and will be probably used for tea or cannabutter. One day I could't give em water so they went super down but rn they look aaawesome (check video) Since I starter growing one of them sooner it's showing nice buds, the rest mostly are starting to get fat ( it's an special greenman you can recognize them cause their leaves totally smaller then the cali kush I had sometimes 30 Celsius degree so one of them shows that some leaves are burnt I started adding 2x ml per liter to the water Smell its sweet and fruity I removed some dried leaves from the bottom Thanks for al help during the week and fast answers really Keep on growing, blessings SOG looks like shit XD but anyway plants look awesome (maybe some N is missing )

Nutrients and water this week ;p Starting to really get a sweet berry like smell to the room :) Will be dropping temps slightly at the end of this week.

Overall, this plant was a producer! Easy to grow, no surprises and stayed healthy throughout. 11 weeks from seed to harvest. It was squat, but stacked, so airflow and humidity control were key to preventing powdery mildew or bud rot. Took the nutrients like a champ, didn’t show too many demands. I’d like to run this again to see if I can get them taller, to potentially produce more. Otherwise, a very good, potent strain choice for someone who is short on space, and would do well with a sea of green style…Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

This week went by well, I will start checking the trichomes on the Runtz at the end of this week. It should be ready for harvest in the next 2 to 3 weeks The G13 is still smelling like magic, looking majestic. The GDP buds are starting to put on weight

Day 43. Girl is a bit droopy, just woke up ;) But she is picky. Looks like nitrogen excess is in the past, she is 57x57 cm square;))) hard to rotate. Had to lower her too ,most of all, she didnt liked it a lot ;) Now most branches are on wires, so i just reajust running ones to even canopy and tuck leaves. HUGE girl , great strain ! This strain by crop king seeds has impressed me with its toughness. Being my first grow ever I made some mistakes along the way but the girls seemed to get through it all and grow well. In the end I am fortunate for them to provide me with more than enough bud to get me through the year if it all dries and cures properly. The past week after harvest has been cold and humid. I tried everything I could given my resources to dry it in my shed but weather of 1-10 Celsius. Rain high humidity and even hail storm one night has been hard on the drying process. Now jarred a little early to try to help with continuous burping of lids. I will submit a better review of how they turned out once dried and cured. Also will submit a dried weight I had an ounce of this exact strain given to me this past year for health reasons and that is what inspired me to track down these seeds and grow my own because I enjoyed it so much. Anyways hope for me it all turns out well

Very good journey to me, she has responded very well to the lst training, providing me beautiful colas, enough for me to have nice clean organic nuggets to smoke. I would definitely would run this Ak420 by seedstockers again, the sweetest phenotype was the number #2 which you can take a look at here in my page!

The strawberry banana is growing tall and big, despite she was the one who germinated later, the skywalker should remain shorter as genetic but is having a strong and fast growing too, both the Runtz are shorter and smaller, we will see in the next one two weeks if they will recuperate their slow growing 🤞🏻💚

Added video on may 16 for a good look May 11 We are now almost at the end and I must say it sparkles more than anything else I have had so far I specifically took photos and the video using only the light from my phone. Despite the burn marks, she's a real sight to behold. She makes it difficult for me to take photos with a flash because she's covered in trichomes that simply bounce the light back. The buds look great and healthy and are now in their final stages of ripening. I hope everyone enjoyed this cup. I've been through thick and thin with this plant, and I really enjoyed it.Regardless of whether I win the cup or not, I'm already a winner with this beautiful plant.
