Breeder info:
Afghanistan / Brazil
Type:
Indica/Sativa
Flowering:

THC:

Harvest:
1000 g/m2
Height:
150-205 cm
Rating:
Divine Seeds developed Opium as a new champion strain, unprecedently powerful and loaded with unbelievable quantities of resin. Certainly, no average genetic base could be behind such brilliant parameters! Several Afghani Indica landraces, recognized as most potent and resinous, were bred together with a mighty Brazilian Sativa which Opium inherits its bright berry taste from. Then a great deal of work followed aiming for the highest THC level and endurability as well as a branchy structure that would provide maximal yields. Now we can proudly title Opium the best Indica you could dream of growing!
Indoors these plants mostly stay mid-height (1.5 m), reaching up to 2.0 m out of doors. Depending on your height limitations, Opium flourishes universally in grow boxes, balconies, green houses and terraces. Due to its Afghani parentage, this strain can stand hot weather if provided enough water and some shadow. Responds well to any training techniques: ScroG and SoG, LST, topping and FIM, supercropping. The start of blooming is marked with a rush of growth, when plants stretch almost 1.4x. Expect heavy colas that often require additional supports. Whilst ripening, Opium gives off a pungent earthy stench with fruity and berry undertones, also a bit of pine. Ready for outdoor harvesting in October.
The stoning psychedelic impact of Opium is like being hypnotized (unless you’ve had too much, then it feels more like a blackout). Stone-lovers will appreciate every minute with Opium: its spicy taste immerses your mind into daydreaming, while the body rests flat. Recreation with this psychedelic Indica means silent tripping from one insight to another. Mighty enough to kill chronical pains, Opium is also medically efficient against insomnia, nausea, appetite disorders, muscle spasms, headaches, irritation, fatigue, panic attacks, epilepsy. Best consumed at night time, the effects keep going for up to 4 hours.

I decided to go with In and Outdoor with the Opium Plants.
so iam talking first about the indoors.
INDOOR
Last week she got a major training with mixed styles, LST, topping and supercropping, and abit of mainlining
she was looking very sad after the training, but the next day she looked so good.
and now after a week shes griwng very strong and is going to be trained more.
OUTDOOR:
She was olanted into a 75l Container, and faced Mother Nature.
we had every weather. Sun very hot, and she was burned a bit. then hail massive rain, etc.
but in the end she developed, and i think she will need a week longer to establish in the big Pot, and begin to thrive.

Indoor,
The Plant is still wonderful green, only the Pisitls of the Flowers are changing, and the Buds are stacking up
i have to water her very properly, because she grows into an Airpot,
these Pots tend to dry out very fast.
i love her structure and her soft leaves.
OUTDOOR
Its nearly unbelieveable that this is the same strain , and they are the same age.
Iam very Pleased with the Opium Plants
the Outdoor Girl showes HUGE leafs, and i can see Preflowers on her.

going in Flower very short after the Lighthours are going back

Bit the trichomes say another thing. All Milky, and a good amount of brown trichomes
her smell is amazing, the domestic secnt is like apricot/ peach, with some delicous undertones.
OUTDOOR
This lady prepares for flower, shes in stretch and made 20 cm plus the last week.
She drinks minimum 5l but is asking for more.
and shes hungry, so she gets feedings every other day, until i see , that she stops stretching.
fantastic Girls
there is stimm a 3rd plant growing outdoors, she sits in a 30l Pot , i havent decided where to finish her.
so stay tuned for the last big cut,
and for the Update

2 Opium Plants remain in my Outdoor Garden.
One sits in a 75l container, and stands near the house
the other Plant sits into 30 l container , in a corner in my Garden
Die Outdoor Girls are starting to flower, still in stretchmode
the Plant in the 75l container looks super impressive
the 30l girl gas a good spot to go on
lets see.
for any reason the system dont let me do another updates, so iam forced to do all updates at once in one week

The Plants are stretching and building sweet flowers
Temperatures became perfect, with lots of Sun and warm weather.
2024-08-23
The Weather continues to stay very warm and sunny,
the Girls drink up to 10 liters daily, and they get some feedings with
organic more PK, because they need the Energy
2024-08-30
Both Girls doing fine,
the Plant in the 75l Growbag, is very thirsty and develops sweet Floweringsites.
the Girl in the 30l pot, has grown into the open Ground.
she was sticking her roots out of the holes from the growpot
i was wondering why she looks so fresh and green without getting nutrients, now i know why, she is sucking all good stuff out of open ground
clever, clever.
2024-09-07
In the meantime we had some heavy rain and Wind, i had to stabilize both Plants
the Girl in the 30 l Container was stretching so massively , she was growing one meter!! in short time
but she was blown the most, i had to tie her and she is leaning onto a bigger treee
i kinda forgot to save her from winds. but anyway, shes safe and goes on
The Girl in the 75l is safe for the moment
she shows already massive buds, next week i have to take pictures from above her
2024-09-13
Weather truned for summerly and hot, to autumn and raniy and cold
so i have to watch her closely, and hope for more warm / dry days, for her to finish up.
It weather continues to stay rainy- and she starts to mold, we will harvest
instantly.

A few months ago, I germinated three opium poppy seeds. Each seedling was given a different setup:
1. Outdorgrow in a 30L container
2. Outdoorgrow in a 75L container
3. Indoorgrow in a 30L Airpot
This post focuses on the indoor plant, which was trained using various techniques such as mainlining, topping,
LST (Low Stress Training), and some supercropping.
The indoor plant thrived from the beginning, showing vigorous and healthy growth. It responded well to training,
consistently displaying a robust appearance. Its growth seemed effortless, requiring only adequate water and minimal nutrients.
Training began with topping and continued for 9 weeks during the vegetation phase.
The main technique used was mainlining, shaping the plant into a circle using pipe cleaners.
The plant's soft stems and branches made it easy to train without causing stress.
After 9 weeks of vegetative growth and training, I was satisfied with the result and initiated the flowering phase.
The plant continued to flourish, primarily needing water and care. Only a few NPK feedings were necessary,
but it received many beneficial supplements with watering.
The growing medium used was Terra Preta MJ-Mix, and I applied a mycorrhizal inoculant called DYNOMYCO.
This significantly enhanced root development and nutrient breakdown. Essentially,
And i applied aTodpressing with Insectfrass, so they stayed lovely green.
I was feeding the microorganisms in the Terra Preta mix, which in turn kept the plant healthy.
The plant developed beautiful colas while maintaining its circular shape. Harvesting was straightforward.
The aroma was fruity (reminiscent of apricot) with a strong, gassy undertone.
The buds are currently curing. I've taken photographs of the plant's "skeleton" and some pre-cured buds,
showcasing the impressive trichome development.
The OutdoorPlants are still growing, and the Diary will continue

In this HarvestReport iam talking about the Outdoor Plants,
pls check my harvestreport about the Indoor Plant
1. Plants: Two female plants, one in a 30L container (still growing) and one in a 75L container with Terra Preta MJ mix.
2. Growing conditions:
- Started indoors, then moved outdoors when temperatures were suitable
- Experienced challenging weather (cold and rainy) in northern Europe until late July
- Plants thrived once warm weather arrived
3. Flowering and harvest:
- Flowering started at an appropriate time
- Harvested earlier than planned due to unexpected early rainfall
- Trichomes were ripe, but bud size could have been larger with more time
4. Yield: Approximately 400 grams of well-formed flowers, with some minor flowers
5. Plant characteristics:
- Well-suited for outdoor growing
- Early flowering, typically ready for harvest by late September
- Resilient to cold, heat, and other environmental challenges
- Excellent resistance to mildew and mold
- Easy to grow
- Well-structured plant with a good leaf-to-bud ratio
- Good yield
6. Future considerations:
- Consider placing under a roof for protection and extended growing time
- Aroma and flavor yet to be determined, but expected to be similar to indoor-grown plants
Overall, it seems you're satisfied with the performance of this strain in outdoor conditions, particularly its resilience and timing for northern European climates. The early harvest due to rain is a common challenge for outdoor growers, and your suggestion of using a roof for protection in future grows is a good one.
