Today my two Top Gun beans from Atlas Seeds have popped their taproot. I will plant my seeds tonight or tomorrow morning alongside a Gorilla Cookies bean from Fast Buds. With one grow now under my belt, I am excited to apply all of my knowledge gained from the previous grow(One of my Top Guns from last grow started to herm). I will continue using Fox Farms Trio Nutrients. I also picked up some Silica Blast from Botanicare, and some pH Up and Down to help dial in some more things. I soaked the seeds for about 18 hours before moving them from a cup of water into paper towels. I also just transferred to a much larger college with more opportunities for me in Cannabis. I will be pursuing my BS in Finance along with a Cannabis Studies Certification alongside these grows. So please, all advice, questions, and guidance will be greatly appreciated, as I am just a student looking to expand my knowledge in the industry. This is just the start.
My last grow consisted of two five gallons and a one gallon. My tent was pretty packed. This grow, I am using three 3 gallon pots instead. I noticed the root growth of the five gallon pots did not grow very far out at all, wether that be my poor watering or other factors, I've decided to try some 3 gallons. If the tent starts to look too packed, I may try moving a Top Gun outside to my balcony. I don't really want another three plants in my 2x2 and I would like to explore some of the factors/challenges or outdoor growing.
First week is done, these girls are 7 days old now. I just gave them water for the first time last night. Top Gun #2 is looking good and growing quick. More soon
Progress is steady and good. Top Gun 2 is taking off, very big. Plants are 14 days old now.
I started feeding nutrients today, in small amounts.
I also noticed I got some runoff using this watering contraption on top gun 1. I didn't notice any runoff on the other two that I am top watering normally. I'm just experimenting.

My two Top Gun phenos are growing great and strong! These photos are from day 21, so I’m a few days late on this post.
Top Gun 2 is growing a nice thick stem and looking very healthy.
Top Gun 1 is growing at the same rate, slightly thinner and shorter, but has started showing its first pistils.
I am experimenting with Top Gun 1, only feeding through a funnel that’s a couple inches in the soil, something to think about.

These two top guns are about 30 days old now. Growth is looking good, especially on TG1, definitely looking the best. TG2 is looking droopy and has some problem leaves. I don't think I've been giving enough water, I'm going to up intake this week. I like how I have been watering TG1, with a little funnel into the soil. I topped all the plants also.

At the time of posting, these plants are only 35 days old. Top Gun 1 has shot off and is looking incredible, super thick stems, making a really tight and even canopy. If all three of the plants looked like this my tent would be much neater. I feel like the watering method is part of the reason it’s growing so well.
I’ve doubled up on water and the plants have definitely needed it.
Doing some pretty heavy defoliation on all three of the plants to try to get the best nugs.

Top Gun 1 is very far along, stopped growing as much but making some really good looking nugs.
TG2 is getting big and bushy, having trouble dealing with the two big plants I have in the tent, I also snapped a stem trying to make things neat. On top of that TG2 is producing some pollen sacs, I had this happen on my last grow too, same strain. Caught these ones early so I should be fine.

Day 49
TG1 is starting to dense up already, super even canopy and even size buds everywhere. It’s so small compared to my other plants I have it on a shoebox to get more light.
TG2 is looking better now, it has healed well from my abuse last week and is producing buds everywhere, super tight spacing, I haven’t seen any more pollen sacs.

Tent is starting to smell like straight skunk.
Top Gun 1 is bulking up and getting covered in trichomes, touching the buds I get a real citrus smell followed by gas, awesome stuff.
TG2 is looking good too, gonna be massive soon.

Day 70. Switching to 24/0 because the humidity is going above 70% in the night, only having the light on helps.
TG1 is getting super frosty, smelling like some kind of sweet cereal.
TG2 is smelling like straight diesel gas. I’m really excited to see these buds dense up. There were so many white hairs making up the buds it looked really cool.
Bad news!
TG1 got mold. I harvested immediately as she was the closest to done and to try to save the other plants from the same fate.
Only one bud was moldy, I chopped it and turned it into butter, best decision ever I got so high.
TG2 is looking good, smelling good. Just trying to keep humidity down and finish out this grow strong💪
Top Gun #2 finishing up nicely, checking for mold every day, humidity is back in the 50s.
I just trimmed up Top Gun #1 yesterday. 9 day dry, humidity started dropping into the 40s the last couple of days.
Only one other tip of the buds had some mold on it. I’m smoking it idc🤷.
Total dry weight was 50grams minus the molded buds, I’ll make butter with those.
Small plant but smoking it right after drying it was one of the best things I’ve tried, very proud.

Top Gun 2 is coming to the finish line, the whole tent reeks and starting to see good amounts of amber, although the buds aren’t as solid as I was hoping for.
I could harvest as soon as today.

Ended up pulling about 65 grams from Top Gun2, another 55 from the Top Gun1 I harvested earlier, fun grow, I was lazy with this diary as I was more excited for gorilla cookies, I’ll try to keep to one diary from now.
