🥒 Project Blue Tent – Week 4 Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Pheno A (Folder 14A) Hello everyone, and welcome back to another update from Project Blue Tent! 💙🌱 For anyone joining this journey for the first time, this project follows four individual plants, each documented in its own diary from seed to harvest. Although every plant shares the exact same environment, nutrients, lighting, and care, each one is given the opportunity to tell its own unique story and reveal how its genetics express themselves. Today we're catching up with Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Plant A. ⸻ 🌱 Week Four – Recovery and New Beginnings Last week marked an important milestone when Plant A received her very first topping. This week, however, was all about patience. After performing a high-stress training technique, I always prefer giving the plant time to recover before asking anything more of her. Rather than continuing with additional training, I simply let nature do its job while carefully observing how she responded. Sometimes, the best thing a grower can do is... nothing. Looking at her now, it's safe to say she appreciated that decision. The recovery has been outstanding. The two new leading shoots have quickly taken over, growth has remained vigorous throughout the entire plant, and the side branches are now pushing with much greater determination than before. The change in architecture is already becoming obvious, with the canopy beginning to widen naturally as the plant redirects its energy away from a single dominant tip. It's always rewarding to watch such a dramatic transformation from one small cut. ⸻ 🌡️ Environmental Conditions Consistency continues to be one of the biggest priorities inside Project Blue Tent. Stable environmental conditions allow the plants to recover quickly from training while encouraging continuous vegetative growth. Average conditions this week were: • 🌡️ Day temperature: 27°C • 🌙 Night temperature: 25°C • 💧 Relative humidity: 67% • 🥥 Root zone temperature: 24°C • 💦 Nutrient solution: 18°C • ⚗️ pH: 5.8 • ⚡ EC: 1.88 mS/cm • 💨 CO₂: approximately 450 ppm • 💡 Light schedule: 18/6 With the Phytonaut LED providing an even spread across the canopy, the plants continue receiving all the energy they need while maintaining compact internodal spacing and healthy vegetative growth. ⸻ 🥥 Feeding Adjustments As mentioned in the previous updates, all four plants developed a slightly lighter shade of green during the last couple of weeks. Although their posture remained excellent and growth never slowed down, I felt they were asking for just a little more nutrition. Rather than waiting for deficiencies to appear, I increased the base feeding slightly. Current nutrition now consists of: • Plagron Hydro A — 1.8 ml/L • Plagron Hydro B — 1.8 ml/L • Plagron Hydro Roots — 1 ml/L By the end of this week I was already beginning to notice a richer, healthier green returning to the newest foliage across the entire tent, suggesting the adjustment was exactly what the plants were asking for. One of the things I'm really enjoying about growing in coco is how quickly the plants respond to small, measured changes. ⸻ 🌿 Pickle Lemon Haze F1 – Plant A This phenotype continues to impress me every single week. The recovery after topping has been remarkably smooth, and it's already clear that the plant has shifted into a completely different growth pattern. The two new main leaders are developing beautifully, while the lower branches are accelerating as they receive more energy than they would have under normal apical dominance. Instead of growing upward through one dominant stem, the plant is now beginning to spread outward, creating the broad, balanced framework I'm hoping to build before introducing the SCROG later in the grow. The stems continue to thicken nicely, the internodal spacing remains tight, and the foliage has maintained excellent posture throughout the week. Although she's still carrying that slightly lighter shade of green, the improvement in colour over the last few days is already noticeable, and her overall posture tells the real story. Leaves are praying toward the light. Growth is continuous. The plant simply looks happy. ⸻ 🔍 Looking Ahead Next week should be another exciting step forward. With the topping now fully recovered, I expect both new leaders to begin stretching more aggressively while the side branches continue filling out the canopy. For now, I'll continue allowing the plant to develop naturally, avoiding unnecessary stress and simply monitoring her structure as she prepares for the next stage of vegetative growth. Week 4 – Vegetation | Cuts & Mothers Selections are made. 4x Star Pebbles × Orange Zkittlez, 1x Rainbow Zoap (LIT Farms), and 1x Blue Zlime earned their spot in the next run and went into 10L pots today. One cut from each remaining line gets promoted to new mother status, carrying the genetics forward. Sitting at 20cm, lamp distance 110cm, light schedule 20h. Feeding CANNA Aqua Vega at 1 ml/l, Canna CalMag Agent at 0.8 ml/l, and Aptus Regulator at 0.1 ml/l. pH locked at 6.2, EC at 1.5 mS/cm. Temps holding at 26°C day, 23°C night, humidity at 60%. Smell is just starting to show — weak for now, but it's there. Next run stays in the tent for another four weeks before moving into the flower environment, with multiple topping sessions along the way to shape the structure early. Mothers get the identical treatment over the same stretch. Updates every Sunday. Stay tuned. 🌿

Checkout my Instagram @smallbudz to see the Small budget grow setup for indoor use, low watt, low heat, low noise, step by step. 07/12/2019 - Fed her 2l of 6.5PH water with 0,5ml of each Grow, Bloom, Max and Alga-mic, and 1ml of each Heaven and Vera,noticed about 10% run off, also added a green filter to the camera lens. Adjusted the light distance to 55cm again it was toooo close about 32cm. 10/12/2019 - Decided to go back and check the basics, removed led strip to give a proper 'night' time, changing light cycle to 20/4h no more 'exotic' 22/2h, re-checked the light distance every 2 to 3 days to ensure 60-45cm and I can tell all ready she is loving it. Also added home made Co2 made with 1 tsp of yeast, 3/4 tsp of sugar 700ml of warm water in a 1l bottle with a tiny pin hole on the cap. 11/12/2019 - Fed her 1.5l of 6.5PH water with 0,5ml of each Grow, Bloom, Max and Alga-mic, and 1ml of each Heaven and Vera,noticed about 10% run off. 12/12/2019 - 8 weeks have passed and no flowers I guess I'm flipping to 1212h to see if she reacts.

She was harvested this week day 73 from seed week 11. All pistols went amber and trichomes 90% cloudy. As you can see from pics and videos, she is FROSTY. I will put the harvest under next week because i want to give dry weights. She is hanging drying out now. I flushed for 1 week using mollasses and tps signal with ph water. The last 4 weeks of her flowering was done outside in the green house. I cannot wait to try her out. Smells awsome. Good job OSSC!

Started the flush cycle with straight water. Plants are very frosty and leaves still retain a fair amount of the green color.

The buds are very tight, but they didn't grow large colas so that means wasted time trimming cannabis, which I am not a huge fan of. I will not be growing this strain again, as I believe there are far better breeders and strains out there. I will continue to seek out the best breeders and strains until I am satisfied. I believe this Auto will yield in the 16-22 Ounce range dry, so I am not super disappointed, but I know I can do much better than this. After 6 days of drying, it took me around 7 hours to trim this auto, and she ended up yielding 16.72 Ounces. So she was definitely on the lower end of the spectrum from what I estimated on chop day, but still in the range. The buds are very tight, and smell like like cheese. I am only running one mature auto at a time now, so next up will be the Acid Dough from Ripper Seeds. I hope everyone has a great rest of your weekend, stay safe and Blaze On!!

How to Control Stretching: Mastering Cannabis's Growth Push Stretching is a natural growth spurt for cannabis plants, but it is known to affect final yield. We dive into what causes stretching in the first place and how to prevent it from invading your growing space. There is little more irritating than an overloaded grow room. Stretching, the term used to describe the accelerated growth of cannabis stems, is part of the natural process of the vegetative phase and is influenced by plant genetics among other variables. Unfortunately, stretching is a recurring culprit in poor yields and plants that are too long resulting in the wobble of physically unstable crops. Despite the threat it confers, stretching can be controlled by first examining the factors influencing growth and then creating a protocol to accompany these problems step by step. Controlling cannabis stretching requires an understanding of how plants interact with their internal and external environments. WHY DO PLANTS STRETCH? There are many reasons why plants are stretched, one of which revolves around the varieties themselves. Genetics play an essential role in determining the possible height of sativas, indicas and hybrids. While most indica varieties are reared to grow in a smaller and denser way, sativas often undergo significant stretches of up to sometimes almost 2 or more mothers depending on the species. While stretching itself is not harmful, drastic flare-ups on the part of the stems can result in the potential loss of a large crop of between 20% and 30% in total. When thinking about species for your next home growing session, look for the standard size of each variety you are interested in so you can judge whether or not these species undergo drastic stretching during flowering.

This week things are swelling quick great ! The purple is showing up more but still only trace amounts. The black has no signs of changing colour however I already know my pheno ain’t the one ☝️ . But the purple shows promise!! Slow at cloning and a higher mortality rate then the black amnesia haze. This one almost every single clone I made all root amazingly ! Highly recommend for its yields and ease in the grow room. You can really feed it high . Still unknown why the purp has curling leaves but from others grows I see it’s fairly common . I’m guessing it prefers a slightly more alkaline PH . I’ve been using citric acid to ph correct and every time I sway a little low like 6.4-6.2-5.9 the plants leaves curl slightly more. Most mixes are in the 6.8-6.5 range however.

Hi liebe Community and Welcome Back! 🌿💚 Willkommen zur zweiten vergangenen Blütewoche! Hier im Bio Tabs NL Grow, erreichen wir aktuell eine höhe von 110cm. Und eine richtig krasse Breite von 65cm. Die Pflanze hat einen moderaten Stretch hingelegt. Es zeichnet sich ein durchgängis schönes und gesundes Wachstum ab. Die Pflanzen entwickeln sich super solide und wirkt sehr robust. Da es sich um reguläres Saatgut handelt habe ich die Super Cropping Methode angewendet. Das bedeutet man verletzt die Triebe der Pflanze absichtlich und knickt sie an verschiedenen Stellen ein und ein wenig ab. An diesen Stellen bilden sich dann strukturelle Verstärkungen, das der Pflanze eine verbesserte Stabilität bietet und wohl auch den Ertrag verbessern soll. Auf jeden Fall Hilft die Technik der Pflanze, später die schweren Buds (hoffentlich) besser zu tragen, ohne dass Sich die Triebe zu arg runterbiegen oder sogar abknicken. Dies Woche kam von Bio Tabs NL 10ml Bio PK 5-8 in dass Gießwasser. Die Seitentriebe bilden sich immer weiter aus. Die Blattform ist schön Breit und Buschig. Die Umgebungsgegebenheiten sind aktuell gut: ————— 🌞 Temp: 26 🌚 Temp: 18°C bis 19°C 💨 RH: 56% VPD: 1,10kPa 💡ppfd: 630 mpm ————— Viele Grüße 👋

This has had to be the most easy strain to get dense buds and high yield at the same time. This plant reached 1.3gr/watt

Day 54-64 (June 14th-24th) (Day 55) I got a good look at all of the plants in the dark and all of them are quite faded out except for black garlic and the blueberries. Running multiple different strains that all feed differently would be a nightmare on a larger scale! (Day 56) Everything is looking on point and happy. Plants are drinking about a liter of water every 36 hours. (Day 59) Jack Herer #1 has some of the most wild looking foxtails I’ve ever seen. Not a very desirable trait but it’s cool to grow. It’s smell is pure bliss, it’s now matured to a mango funk. I will do a more in depth look at each strain after dry. Jack #2 is starting to pop fresh nanners. I think it is from stress due to lack of nutrients and/or heat stress from where it is in the tent. Both jacks are feeding really hard I’ve noticed. If these bananas get any worse I will just harvest early. Blueberry #1 is developing miniature seeds in its calyx’s and is starting to foxtail like crazy. It almost looks like it’s reveging. Earlier in the season I pulled off an entire bud that was covered in developing seeds but I couldn’t find anymore after that. I will likely find a few bag seeds in this pheno and Jack #2. Blueberry #2 is still terpless and frostless but it’s really starting to fill into it’s structure now. It’s getting impressively dense but that all it has going for it. This one needs to go 65-70 days at least. BAOGC #1 is so beefed up and chunky I love it. The main cola will be a good 6 grams and the lowers are thick gram nugs too. I will let this one go until day 65 BAOGC #2 is much smaller but a super hard feeder. It was one of the first to start yellowing. This pheno is pretty average in my opinion. It stacks a little tighter but has small buds TWOG #1 has this strange velvety look to it’s frost, something I’ve never really seen before. Although it’s a little on the leafy side. It filled out super early and is ready to harvest now. Both are fading out with black streaks on the leaves. TWOG #2 checks every box for quality so far. This might be the perfect strain and I’m sad I didn’t get a clone of it. The only thing wrong with it is the long trichome stalks and lack of resin heads. It is also an early finisher. I will probably take both TWOGs down on the 21st. Black garlic is just mouthwatering. This plant literally looks wet with resin. It was super airy at first but slowly filled out to the point it’s one of the denser plants in the tent. Cant wait to smoke this stuff. (Day 63) Well, every plant in here is looking done except the jacks and blueberry #2. Since I’m harvesting my other tent tomorrow I might as well give everything the chop before I risk bagseeds. I’m going to give a final watering right now and harvest tomorrow. I’m going to be drying in my flower tent kept between 60-65F and 60-65% RH. I will do a full plant hang to extend the dry time for as long as possible. Guess that’s a wrap then. I will give a detailed breakdown of my errors and final thoughts on the run next week after the dry is completely done. ✌️

En cuanto a las plantas las veo verde sano, estiraron bien y ensancharon bastante también. Se nota que los nutrientes de la marca Agrobeta hacen sus funciones.
