~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2205 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Mars Hydro Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/15- Here we go into the second week of veg for the FastBuds Tester #2205 girls and they're on a roll! 😍 When I checked on them today they both were still moist so I let them go until I check them tomorrow. Basically at this point in the run all I have to do is make sure they don't dry out, fill the humidifier and watch them grow! 12/17- Yesterday I watered them both and increased the amount to roughly 0.25g each of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Botanicare Silica Blast (added to begin to help strengthen their branches) and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 74℉. I've also increased the output of the HLG 650R's to 35% which equates to about 230w at the wall which, of course has raised the temp's in the tent so I've also begun to run the A/C unit in the grow room which is keeping the temp's now at 75℉ in the tent. The RH is running around 75-78% RH giving a VPD of .67-.74 which I'll take! 😁👍 Other than what I've mentioned above, all I did was fill the humidifier with distilled water and watched my girls grow! 🤩 12/19- Today I watered them each with 0.25g of de-chlorinated water to which I added 3ml/g Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t and 1 tsp/g Unsulfured Molasses which I then ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I'm now watering through the bottom, filling the drip pan and letting the plant draw up the water into itself. I am also watering from the top, but only just enough to moisten the medium. They're really starting to take off now, a sure sign their roots are beginning to get well developed. Their 4th set of leaves have emerged and I'm thinking over topping them in the next day or so. 12/21- Well, yesterday I went ahead and topped the #2 Tester #2205 taking off the 5th leaf set. Hopefully she won't stress out over this and starts shooting out those secondary branches. I left the #1 alone as she's not quite as vigorous as the #2. I may not top the #1 as a sort of comparison to see how each grows out. Today I watered them both with 0.25g of straight de-chlorinated water each which was ph'd to 6.3 @ 74℉. I gave about 3/4 of it into their drip pans so they can draw it up into their medium, the rest I applied to the top of their medium just to moisten it. Well there's two weeks of veg behind us now, Week Three of vegetation is beginning and they should really start to take off! 😍👍 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Wow, what a difference a week makes! Amazing growth of new stems and foliage. Continued to do LST. She is responding well to it and increased light power to 100%. Experienced a little light burn the first day, but raised it up to 18" again. She grew a few inches and didn't raise light accordingly. Trying to manifold and spread out, hopefully filling up as much space as possible. Did some light defoliation to open up the light to the lower area.

The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are topdressed @ ml/gallon of soil. Day 1 we started with lots of sunshine and clear skies.Then we had a pop up severe thunderstorm with grape sized hail. Thankfully it only lasted a few minutes. Day 2 we have clear skies and sunshine. The temperature is mid 70's. You can see the hail damage that occured day 1. The #3 plant was topped by a hail stone. Luckily it only got the top and didn't take out the side branches growing out of the 4th node. This was very fortunate a topping above the 4th node done by nature. Day 3 we had rain and thunderstorms through the previous night and into the morning. We had sunshine, clear skies, and temperatures in the upper 70's. That was followed by severe thunderstorms, rain, and a touch of hail from 4p.m. to 6p.m. Day 4 we had relief from the rain. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's and lots of sunshine. We have a few days of sunshine in the forecast 🙏 Day 5 we had lots of sunshine and clear skies. Highs in the upper 70's and 49% humidity. We needed the dryness. 🙏 Day 6 we had clear skies and sunshine. Temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's. Day 7 we had partly cloudy skies and temps in the middle 70's. Overall this week was a success. We thankfully avoided any major damage from the hail. The girls more than doubled in height and really kicked out some branches after topping.

Didn’t really get any good photos of the plant while transplanting this week but the transplant was somewhat successful but the plant need something to lean against so I cut a cup as wrapped around the plant next week I will check the results, still haven’t added nutrients yet but I did mix the soil with remaining fox farm ocean forest (30%) and a new soil fox farm cream of the crop 50/50 mix (70%) in the 5 gallon fabric pot mainly because I like the aeration properties of this and the Less likely ness of overwatering and having more control of the nutrients being added at a given time.

My strawberry gorilla is really starting to be a pleasure to grow. At 1st I had it in a small tent with my gorilla cookies and the other plant was taking all the light and the tent was so small I kept having to cut back at both the plants so they would fit in the tent but now they are in the bigger flower tent by themselfs and man all the lollipoping did wanders for this plant it’s got some nice big colas. You could definitely get this plant to make huge colas if done right. Only my 3 auto so I’m figuring it out.

Aug 23: Tropicana Cookies Fast Flowering is. cruising along toward the finish. Nice and symmetric with 16 colas all forming a nice long stick of buds. Should be a really good yield off of this one. No pue colour uet but I’m sure it’s coming soon. Aug 27: hit 32 C today and will be hot for another five days or so. With this late heat wave I’ve upped the daily water volume to about 9 L a day over three waterings. Still adding potassium silicate once a day and always adjusting pH with vinegar and then a squirt of Dr Bronners Peppermint Soap as a wetting agent. Smell of peppermint also repels pests, supposedly.

Day 64: Second Grow We’re now in the fifth week of the flowering stage, and the buds are getting thicker by the day. We’ve decided to order a microscope to keep a closer eye on the trichome development. Additionally, we’re considering ordering CANNAZYM, a nutrient that could help our buds grow even bigger and healthier. Here’s to another week of growth and progress!!

Seems I told a lie last week, I'm late one day and I've done videos again cos again 🤥 Its been a good week for bud production regardless of a hiccup this week which shows as cal/mag and nitrogen deficiencies throughout each plant🤒 My ph pen malfunctioned and I ended up feeding them all 4.5 and didn't notice till the leaves told me 🍂 The ph pen has been replaced, amendments made to buffer the root zone and fingers are crossed 💉🤞 Super stinky grow this, going to replace my carbon filter before starting a new one because I caught wiffs of them when I entered my home today. If the flavours match the smells in this tent I'm in for a treat come smoke time.👃⛽🍋🍇 Its that magic time in the tent now where each girls really showing their own characteristics, both the purple punches and the zkittlez are different phenos to their siblings so I'm excited to see what they finish up like🏁 So far mostly good 👍 Thanks for reading 📖 One Love💚 Fire Farmer🔥👨‍🌾

Really opened them up a lot so we get all them heads hit, just wait to see how bushy these girls get, let’s get em big! Hello, hello! Hope you're all doing well. Welcome to Week 7, Veg w/ Space Cookies. The Deets: The Good: -Space Cookies is moving well. I was able to make her quite a bit bigger by training her out this week. She took the space well and is filling up the new open space quickly. -Full transplant and first transition's feeding went very well and she took every drop. No burns, no dipping out, no attitude. -Strong like Bull. Every week she gets thicker and thicker. During transplant I buried a small portion of her stem to shore her up and it has proven to work very well. Smallest plant but has the thickest laterals and main. I really like this little one and I feel she has been the easiest to work with so far. Haven't faced as many issues with her as I have with the others (so far). Hope she keeps it up👌. -Pistil party! It's a girl! Yay!! So there's pistils. Not heavily pronounced yet, but clear as day. Will add in a picture tomorrow, but a little to shaky to take a proper photo, at the moment. Soon👍 -pH and PPM's are in check. Not too concerned about my ppm reads, as the new soil is warping these run-off numbers, but I'm very pleased to see her Run-off come back at a solid 6.2pH. A long road from the 5.3 I was battling for 1.5-2 weeks. The Bad: -Get atta here with that 'bad' nonsense. She's doing good😊 The 'Meh': -Got her to be a bigger bubble, but she lost some more height. Propped her up on the same ceramic pot that Do-Si-Dos was last grow. Almost a perfect height making an even canopy. -Really bushy. I open her up and it seems she's filled the empty space within 24 hours. Going to do a quick bottom to top defo and prune before moving her to flower. Still trying to learn what to take in Veg that will end up being nothing but LARF in Bloom. I feel I did a little better this time... but I'm positive there will be a lot to take in the early weeks of flower, during the stretch. -Before the transplant, I was running 24/7 extraction due to a weather change in my area. In her shorter 3 gallon pot, she picked up a bit of wind burn on the low end fans. I knew it was being pretty battered around, but I didn't really have a choice. I really needed that air exchange. These fans will be removed in near future if/when she needs/wants to cannibalize them. Notes of the Week: -All transplants were done with a 15mL/Gallon soil of Gaia Green 2-16-0 Bone Meal for slow release P/Cal throughout Bloom. Added bonus of keeping pH in check (somewhat like a dolomite lime). "Stim Root #1" for softwood applications has been used sparingly as well. Allows for zero delay when transplanting. Roots tap into new soil immediately. No stunting, no lost time. -A water feed was given to each girl in the past two days as I am back to my feed-feed-water schedule (and working well). I did include a small dose of GP3 Bloom, Humic acids, molasses and potassium silicate to keep her moving until the next feed (Bloom and Humic halved). Cut the Cal/Mag and pulling my Mag from the Bloom's 1.5%. -Training is pretty much over. PSK has a little work to do, but this week all the training ties will slowly be released and replaced with bracing cables. 5-6, 2 foot sticks of bamboo and 1, 3 foot main bamboo line have been inserted and will be used to pull laterals back inwards, give them strength, and help them carry their flowering weight. All bamboo sticks (except for the 3 foot main) were inserted into the new transplant soil where there would be no roots and no root interference. To reduce root interference on the 3 foot main, I sharpen to a point in order to push roots aside, not bluntly destroying them. -The flip is on the calendar. PSK is even in good shape now. It's time. Either Sunday, May 31st or June 1st these girls will be put into 12/12. I'm really looking forward to this, but as per the usual, I'm a little nervous. It's been a battle with them so far and I'm really, REALLY hoping Bloom goes a tad better then early Veg did. -Oddly enough, these plants are larger in size then grow #2, at the same period of time (49 days). Attributing earlier training and the SF for these changes. Keeping the girls shorter and using more LST has pushed them to move a bit faster. Noted. -Hygrowzyme and King Kola will be introduced into the new Bloom schedule in the coming week (s). I did not use the PK booster as early as recommended last grow and looking to see what changes I will see with proper applications, throughout flower. Hygrozyme will only be used for the first few weeks of Bloom. If anything feels amiss or my gut tells me somethings off, I'll stop it's use and just use what I know.
