The contrast of the trichomes against the purple bud is stunning! I want to make it my mission to grow all the purple FastBuds strains! They're just breathtaking! D57/FD29 - Thing going grand with the Cookies so far (enjoying growing these Cookie Based Strains). Smell from it is divine! Touch a stem and its a lovely citrus smell left on you for ages! Noted in a previous comment, like a perfect sweetness, fresh lemonade. You'd wear it as an aftershave alright even!!! :P They're drinking a ton but not taking on as much feed (as I've come to expect now in flower) so dropped the base and bloom by 10% (same recommended ratio of 1:1) and kept the PK9/18 booster in there at what would be recommended strength for this week...its the same as last week but week 1 (week 4 of flower) of PK9/18 should have been double...didn't want to overdo it as when I used recommended strength 1st time I got it, it created some serious root zone acidification (Which could have been all the K getting used up but was a mare getting the pH up from 4.something every day!!!). Did my usual root flush/wash before adding feed as the EC had crept up to 2.2 (and I know from experience, that starts messing with your numbers if you don't wash that out right) and took about 50L-60L to get the tank to 0.3EC (base is 0.2) was was a lot of salt sitting on/in the roots. Had a ton of underscreen dead leaf to pick up and just cut some wee straggly offshoots (I know, bad idea this late in flower but they were basically dead/no nutritional value left so basically a bug magnet). Still waiting on Bluelab to send me the RMA approved pH pen...been 2 weeks now since the RMA was approved and still no postage - using an "essentials" pH meter and just dipping in Calibration Fluids between each feed add to ensure some accuracy (As you can see from my recipe page, I like to know what the feed does to the pH - also gives an idea on what they're feeding on when you see pH swings in a different direction that expected). Geeklight also got back to me. In all fairness, I've been dealing with them direct (Got the light fixture from Alibaba, direct from China - big gamble, right???) and they have been more than helpful. I have been telling them about the light randomly coming on at 5% (lowest brightness) and provided evidence; turns out someone else now noticed the same issue with the Remote App controlled variant too and they believed it was a loose control board/wire. They said they did some stuff and that fixed it but I also thought mine was fixed by forcing the dimmer to 0% and it still randomly happened (even though it didn't do it for weeks) so the other person may still get a surprise!! 😋 So, I took out the driver today, pulled out the control board and all wires seemed good and no looseness in the control board (although it does look slightly bent as the Spade for the IR/UV switch isn't fully bedded in). But, like I say, in all fairness to Geeklight, they're posing me a new control board tomorrow from China AND giving me the longer driver cables so as I can put the driver outside of the tent! Give me a bit more room for my Flower Initiator (and hopefully UVB Tube) and great to see them honouring the Warranty. RHC Seems to be flowering nicely as can been seen from the pics. Stacking well, buds coming along. Slight pinkish tip to the pistils on some buds but not the shocking pink as you'd see in the sales pics...hopefully it goes there though! Also noticing a bit of an early frost on a few flowers...like real good frost! And this is only day 1 of week 5 (I know, I do this diary arse about face)!!! Hoping Geeklight get this driver control board and longer cables to me quick so as I can get the driver out of the tent as I'd really like to get the UVB in there to frost them up in a week or 2!!! May only be getting about 9" clearance though so dunno, could be dangerous!!! 12" is the lowest recommended...but then, I could do the 15 min burst lighting (On 15, off 45 min every hour) so lower the risk of burn but get them more exposure (but lowers the lifetime of the tube). They get UVA from the LED's on the light at the moment for a 1/3 of the day and have been since early veg so should be hardened to it by now!!! Anyway, think that's enough s**te chatted by me!!! Solid week of growth, looking and smelling amazing.

Hello Diary, White Widow has reached the end of the 5th week of flowering, a total of 8 weeks since the start of the vegetation. As you can see from the photos, harvest is coming soon. I would say one more week and she will be ready. What's interesting is that this White Widow phenotype is a bit of a purple one. The flowers are starting to take on purple tones. The flowers are not as big compared to her roommates but they are rock hard and sticky under your fingers. This week I started checking the appearance of the trichomes and most of them are still transparent. All in all White Widow has pleasantly surprised me and brought a smile to my face when I look at her. The smell is very intense at this stage, the whole room smells like plants when I open the grow box. Watering is still every two or three days. This week I stopped adding nutrients, I just lowered the p.H. to 6.0 and water the plants with clean water. Here's what the previous week looked like. 13/09/2024 - Day 51. Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, lowered the pH to 6.0 and used that amount to water all three plants on the farm. 16/09/2024 - Day 54. Watering. I repeated the same procedure as three days earlier. 18/09/2024 - Day 56. It's the end of the 8th week, taking pictures of the plants. That's all from me for this week, see you soon.

It is so very hot now every day here. All my girls are suffering from the heat and they need to be watered very frequently. I avoid drying them out completely. Both plants are doing well in the heat. I prefer the structure of the mainlined plant.

In future I must take not that lamb’s Breath can thrive in cold conditions, but I am going to witness if the growth will accelerate or just level out with the coming of spring. Week 6 starts with a mild weather but in a couple of days a cold front makes land fall in Jozi and the last brought snow, but my babies survived and look at the love of my life, showing aggression when it comes to growth… I wonder if the transplant and the extreme cold will hinder growth, nature does miracles in front of us on a daily. She’s loving the compost mix, hopefully she will love her new home, if my calculations are right, all I have to do is only add nutrient only when I defoliate. The amount of nutrients in this medium is boardline toxic.

Hi! First of all, this is my first time in my life. I planted 2 different kind of plants one is autoflowering (Gelato Cookie D'ohpe), Gelato Cookie Doh-ope Auto By Dr Krippling Seeds Gelato Cookie Doh-ope Auto. Ground breaking genetics have gone into the Triple G range. Grand Heft Auto’s genetics main characteristics is its big composition, and heavy yields. Whilst stabilizing their specially selected Girl Scout Cookies strain with the GHA a number of times, they also crossed this with an amazing Gelato Auto. GGG3’s fruits are ripe with aroma’s and flavor. Yields are approximately 80 gr/plant and the aroma from these flowers are special. The taste from these dense, sticky buds are sure to have you coming back time after time for more of this great tasting flower. The other one is feminized (Purple Punch). Purple Punch Feminized Seeds By Barney’s Farm. I started counting my day from the day I started germination. 2 different seeds, one is autoflowering (Gelato Cookie D'ohpe) and the other one is feminized from The Bakery Co. called Purple Punch. I started germination by putting them to the water for 12 hours in the evening on Sunday. After twelve hours I put them between paper towels. It started sprouting very quick, the next day I needed to put them to the soil. Purple Punch the feminized one started growing faster, bigger sprout, compare to the autoflowering Gelato Cookie D'ohpe. I started using a 60 W led lamp for the seedling stage this lamp has 2 head 30-30W that was divided for the two plants 30 W each. The next day they came out of the soil and started their life. The Purple Punch was growing faster. First, I had my own made place made of kitchen foil under my computer desk :D, and then I purchased a grow tent which is 140x60x60. I did not use any ventilation the first week and kept the humidity 85-90 percent, and I used trigger spray on the plant also. Watering the first 7 days was 10 ml in the morning and after 12 hours later also 10ml, so every morning and evening 20ml a day. I also used trigger spray to keep the soil wet around and sprayed the plant also. I never use tap water at any stage I buy still water from the shop and they love it. I want 100 percent organic plants so my nutrition will be bat guano mix with acacia honey. My soil mix is Coco coir, perlite mix 70:30 which is mixed with a soil that consists of 20% sphagnum peat moss, 35% garden peat, 10% high-quality organic Worm-Humus, 30% perlite, and 5% Pre-Mix. These two kinds of soil ratio are 50-50 Percent.
