Used less than recommended manufacturers ML/EC/PPM on all products. My goal for now is to get the beneficial microbes and bacteria flowing and stable with minimal nutrients. This is a new setup and nutrient to me, trying to take it easy on the seedlings until I see their reaction. Placed small domes over seedlings to help shade the lights a bit until I see how they react. 48 hours later there is minor growth, will give them another 24-36 hours of monitoring and then remove the domes, LEDS are dimmed to 40% and 40” high currently. Installed Bluelab PH controller to maintain 5.8 PH, trying to work smarter, not harder. So far it’s a breeze and PH has been stable ever since. Interested to see how it performs once the plants are much larger. See you in a week 😀

Welcome to the 2018/19 indoor grow season!!! I am totally psyched to be growing Blackberry from FastBuds as one of the first strains this season. I was fortunate enough to have won 7th place for my Tangie'matic diary and won seeds from FastBuds. When searching the FastBuds website for a strain to choose I was looking for something purple and fruity. I think I found the answer here in BlackBerry. One of the seeds was started a couple of days ahead of the other. The first seedling is looking pretty good, the second not as much, but I'm confident it will grow out of its funk. I am seeing some signs of burn, I guess the soil must be too hot. I started to try to flush through with straight ph'ed water, but then I started seeing signs of overwatering (rookie mistake, I know). Now I'm just trying to keep a little water on the bottom tray so it generates some humidity in the dome. There's also a heat mat under the tray I have the heat mat on a timer also, 30 min on/30 min off cycling all day. It seemed to get too hot on 24/7. I'll be transplanting and moving to my 2'x4' tent in about a week. They will live there during veg, then I'll be moving to a 4'x8' tent (not purchased yet) for flower. I'm also planning on adding some COB LED's in the flower tent. Then I'll dedicate my 2x4 tent to mothers, clones and seedlings. Its going to be a little different this season with both photo period and autoflowering strains going at the same time. But I'm looking forward to it! 👍 Stay tuned...

Another breezy week however, we had some hot weather here, temps were up to 34°c in the room for a day or so which caused a bit of tip burn. When plants are forced to transpire more in a high VPD scenario, one should reduce the EC of the water by 10-20%, this helps the plant take water easier through osmosis without taking up more nutrients than it needs, unfortunately as I spent most of last week high and didn’t notice it until the second day. Will start to post more pictures every week now they’re looking a bit more interesting 😁 EC is currently at 1.4 due to hot weather, and I’ve noticed when it hovers around 1.6, the EC drifts up to 1.7-1.8 after 3-4 days so thought it was best to cut it back a little. Changing the watering and feeding schedule really did wonders during this final stretch. And honestly, I’m glad I stuck with this run — even though it took ages and I nearly killed the plants while on vacation 😅 I’ve learned a ton from this grow and I’m really looking forward to the next run with photoperiods. This hobby is something else. While others have an aquarium or tinker with their cars… we embrace the holy zaza. Today is the last day of week 1 flower. I've been working on raising the ph in the medium of Zorro x Purple Punch 2, she was showing a Calcium Deff in the previous post. She was getting the same feed as the others ph 6.2 but instead of running off around 5.8 like the others she was swinging right down to like 5.2-5.3 so she's been getting a separate feed with neutral ph and her runoff comes out at 6.2 now which I'm happy with as I move into the second week of flower and where I got them all to with today's feed. She has shown no further defficiciencies since. Other than that they have all been doing what they do best and they have been happy all week, only really disturbed them to feed them, until today. Today I gave them a little training and bent their branches away from each other. Also today I switched their feed up a little but I've not added the changes to this entry because today is one day and the values are for the whole week but the changes today are as follows.... I took out Cellmax Rootbooster - pots are well rooted and I'm leaning towards flower production now as I come into week 2 of flower. I added Cellmax Flower Stimulator at half strength - easing them into flower power mode! I added Cellmax AlgaMax 1ml per litre - The kelp keeps stress levels minimum and I've done a little LST plus the last 2 days have been around 20 celcius which translated to 26 - 30 celcius in my tent. I alternate all watering one with feed and one without so long as they are in good health. Other than that not much to report, growths good, bud formation is on schedule with lots of pistils although they are 9 weeks old so they already had nice lady gardens 🤭 Thanks for looking in One Love💚 Fire Farmer🔥👨‍🌾
