Defoliated at day 8 and it’s grown so fast it looks like I have not done it. I will do another round of defoliation on day 21. Happy with the canopy and hoping they do not stretch much more lol.

First major defoliation

Hello Growers and Tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Sorry for the delay on the weekly updates, had some things I had to attend but I'm back and at it! These pictures were taken a week after the 21 day flower defoliation, day 27 of flower to be exact. Great progress this week with the bud site, glad to see the defoliation is giving it's fruits. Buds are filling in space which is just what I want now, fill up as much space as possible that way in the fast weeks they can fatten up and be nice dense colas. CC1 & CC3 have the best trichome production and bud growth so far despite having the structure all messed up and uneven. I got some nice pics in of that half loop I was talking about last week. Every time I see it I think, ¨Man, I want to grow a canna bonsai." CC2 is doing great, bud formation is going a bit slower than the other two but it's still nice. I'm rooting for this one in highest yield because between the three because she has the most evenly divided canopy. The Aroma got MUCH stronger this week. When I open up the tent it's a sweet caramel punch to the face. Don't mind that punch at all! 😍😍 I've had to raise all my plants because the San Fernando Lemon Kush stretched more than I expected. Bad calculation on my part given it's a sativa I should have expected it would triple in height. So now I've got all my ladies on top of shoe boxes, Playstation box, old ballast boxes, pretty much any sturdy box I could fix. Before putting them in there I cleaned them down, making sure nothing unwanted would be joining the garden. Things look good so far, next week I'll be adding an organic PK boost to the feed. First day of week 6! Looks like what transplant shock I was afraid of never materialized so that's a plus. I did however discover 2 things that have been bothering me. The first was random discoloration and spotting on some leaves, I had no idea that it was due to me spilling watering nutrients on the leaves, so I dug a small canal around the main stem of the plant. Now I just pour water evenly around the canal. The second was, why is my plant so small. Most other Blue Dreams I've seen seem to get really tall and stretch upwards. Mines just seems to get bushier. After more and more research, and probably one of the most obvious things to more experienced growers, is that it's not stretching so much because it doesn't need to. So at least my light is on point. I watered regularly today for the first time since transplant, but only used a quarter of a gallon.

The statistics on Frostbanger indicate 50-day flower. Pics show mostly clear and milky. There are a few with amber trichs and many orange pistils indicating maturation. At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Start of week 6, ended week 5 with a few only water feeds on the topped and natural girl as they showed some claw. New growth looks good and the HST girls are in their stretch...not much stretch with natural. Hopefully the stretch and node spacing continue as is and they continue to grow through this week. One thing I have noticed is that all 3 girls droop hard at night, sometimes as early as 3hrs before dark...growth has seemed fine. Maybe they are tired from their daily stretch who knows.

Como se puede ver en el timelapse de la semana anterior la planta va dejando atrás esos problemas de crecimiento de hojas y cada vez va más rápida ayudada principalmente por ese gran par de hojas del segundo nudo. He realizado una poda apical justo después del cuarto nudo como se puede ver en las imagenes. APlicaré LST cuando esas dos ramas principales estén claramente visibles, lo que calculoque será en un par de días y posteriormente colocaré la maya de scrog (calculo que esto será sobre la cuarta semana de crecimiento), dependiendo como vea la malla entonces pasaré a ciclo de floración o dejaré otra semana de crecimiento, pero máximo 5 semanas de vegetativo. La fertilización la mantengo sin cambios, aun queda bastante solución nutritiva en el depósito, la cual mantiene el ph a cerca de 6 (6.07) y la ec al estabilizarse ha subido un poco 1,7 que sigue siendo un buen valor.

Flowering day 11 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The first days of this week it looked really terrible for me because it was much too cold because of the unusual temperature. The heating mat has now also arrived for the big tent and lo and behold the plants have been developing really well since that day ☺️👍. The temperature doesn't keep quite as well as in the small box, but at least I don't get below 18 degrees in the pots at night anymore, even though it's only 16 at the top 😅👍. Since I switched to flowering, it was time to rinse off a bit with Clean Fruits :-) . Did them a lot of good.
