~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2204 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 12/29- Here we go into Week Four of Vegetation but I'm somewhat relieved that they haven't started flowering yet as they are only 5" & 6" respectively so some more time to grow is a good thing right now! It's been a month since these pretty ladies popped out of the ground and other than being short, they are both looking perfect! The #1's 4g Gronest pot was heavy when lifted as was the #2's 3g Wraxly pot and they both looked happy, so I skipped watering today and will check them tomorrow morning after the lights come on. Since being topped for the first time a week ago, they both have two new shoots that are emerging and have new growth sprouting out all over with extremely tight node spacing making them definitely Indica dominate, and will most likely result in very short stocky cultivars from this strain which would be ideal for someone with limited grow space. 😎💚 Both of these girls are extremely healthy with excellent vigor and color and I can't wait to see if they get any taller and for them to begin flowering! 🧐💚 12/31- Today was a 'dry day and all I did was refill the humidifier and some canopy maintenance, tucking shade leaves and gently bending branches. It's been a little over four weeks since they were planted in their amended medium and it's time to give their microbes a good feed so they can continue to provide them with all the macro and micro nutrients they need so, yesterday they got a good watering with 0.5g of de-chlorinated water with GreenGro's Veg, Flower, Green Aminos, Natures Brix and Granular Myco added to it @ 1.5 tsp/g and then ph'd to 6.4 @ 73℉. Still no signs of flowering on either tester but I anticipate it will be any day now! 01/02- Yesterday I finally saw signs of flowering on the #1 tester! The #2 is still a no-show but as short as she is it's probably for the best! Today I watered them from the bottom with 0.5g of de-chlorinated water to which I added 3ml/g of Earth Juice OilyCann cal-mag to prevent any Cal-Mag issues they may encounter before they arrive. I also have the HLG 650R set 36" above canopy and it's set at 60% power which is being controlled by a Trolmaster HydroX controller. The tent environment is on point with temp's running 70 when the light's off and 74℉ with the light on. I'm keeping the RH at 55-60% right now but will drop it as flowering progresses. Finally, I've been keeping the VPD in the tent running 0.85 - 1.05 which I'm happy with! 01/04- They have both been doing really well getting watered every other day and yesterday they received 0.5g each of de-chlorinated water with 3ml/g of Fish Head Farms Fish Sh!t Soil Conditioner which was then ph'd to 6.3 @ 72℉. The #1 tester is on her fourth day of flower and looking great! Because she's so bushy and was getting choked with growth, I removed a few shade leaves to open her up and get some light penetration down into her canopy. The #2 tester has yet to show any signs of going into flower which I won't be concerned with unless it persists for another week or so, at which point I'll make a decision on how to deal with her. 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Close to harvest now, i think 1 more week and they are ready.. Started the flush, only giving nutes to BB she is heat stressed and growing slow.

I ran out of beastie blooms so I went ahead and switched to sonic blooms. It's a lot stronger than beastie so we will see if there is a difference. But here we are at week 4. Everything is going pretty smooth, I did a res change. Been changing around every 14 days I notice a little nitrogen build up if I go any longer than 14 days. Very low nitrogen feeding plant

Ok folks, gunna be one armed for another 6 weeks so I'm just the conductor the true heroes will go unseen. Everything is alive atleast, had a scare yesterday as things got so dried out everything went limp but an hour after feed turned back around. Noticed some yellowing and other coloring coming thru on alot of leaves so I bumped ppm up a little bit this last feed. They dont look like they have a deficiency, it's weird, they look beautiful but with a premature fade almost. I really like Green Buzz' line up/regiment I just have to dial it in which isnt easy since it's a multi strain crop and various size plants. It's very easy to use and makes me feel good knowing it's not poison. Did a minor leaf strip around the tent just to make things fit better. I'll copy and paste this to the diaries for the rest of the crop per usual but go into a little more detail on each plant individually. Pics and vids were taken on day 28 of flower. I'm trying to keep up with these as best I can from start to finish, the flip date was 6.10.19, today is 7.9.19. They are both coming out great, little yellowish/lite green but still look good. They both have a much better bud structure than the 1st pheno I grew out looks like theyll fatten up nicely. Havnt smelt them yet but the frost is real on both of them. Desde mediados la semana pasada, algunas plantas muestran signos de carencia de algún tipo, pero sus hojas en forma de garra me hacen pensar en un bloqueo de algun mineral, con esto decido seguir regando sin ningún tipo de nutrientes hasta que muestren síntomas de necesitar comida , está semana han hecho 30 días de crecimiento les dejo acabar la semana hasta el domingo a 20h de luz

All nutrition comes to an end. They are now rinsed for a few more weeks. Just a little longer and then they can be harvested. The pineapple poison and lava freeze have beautiful colors. 😁

1-Starting the week strong, plant is looking good. Not sure if the buds should be bigger or not but according to the strain it’s a 70-80 days flowering time so I still have plenty of time to see those buds fattening up. 2-Added 75W full spectrum LED to increase quality of pictures. In my opinion, totally worth it. Got to see my plant from a different light was amazing. Everything is looking good and the soil is still slightly moist. Probably water tomorrow. Separated all the branches to allow more light to penetrate the middle of the plant. 3-Soil completely dry, water plant with flowering nutrients. The smell seems to be a little stronger today. 4,5,6-No major changes.

Started to harvest buds from the strawberry banana so that it could move to an area with lower lights due to the main breaking a few weeks ago. The other plant Tropicana Cookies Purple is stacking flower like crazy. Dare I say near forearm size bud at harvest keeping my fingers crossed.

Week 2: The adjustment Hello dear growers and groweresses, it’s time for an update on my grow. My plants have completed the second week and have continued to grow. But they also faced some challenges that I will tell you about. The adjustment My plants have adapted to the new conditions in my room this week. I realized that I had my lamps too close to the plants and that they got too much light and heat. This resulted in them not developing as well as I had hoped. I therefore hung my lamps higher and reduced the intensity of the light. I lowered the PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) from 400 to 280, to give the plants a more comfortable environment. The PPFD is a measure of the amount of light that the plants receive per square meter and second. The higher the PPFD, the more light the plants get, but also the more nutrients and water they need. The plants accepted the change very well and recovered quickly. They started to grow stronger again and formed more leaves. They also got a nicer color and look healthier. One plant that suffered a lot was the Frosty Nightmare. She was overwatered and had trouble developing. She was smaller and weaker than the others and had yellow tips on the leaves. I therefore gave her less water and moved her away from the other plants, to give her more space and air. She recovered and grew again. She is still the smallest of all, but she has potential. I also increased the temperature in my room by 1 degree, to give the plants more heat. I set the temperature from 22 to 23 degrees Celsius, which is still in the optimal range for the plants. The plants liked that and showed me that by their growth. I let them vote democratically, by observing the plants and interpreting their reactions. :D The water filter I also want to introduce you to my water filter from Watertrim, which I use for my grow. It is a great product that saves me a lot of time and money and is also better for the environment. The water filter has only two connections: an inlet and an outlet. So it has no waste water, which would otherwise go into the drain. It has different options of the filter, depending on how much water you want to filter and how high the EC value of the tap water is. The EC value is a measure of the electrical conductivity of the water, which depends on the dissolved minerals. The higher the EC value, the more minerals are in the water, which are not always good for the plants. My filter filters at an inlet EC of 1.0 1000 liters, before it needs to be renewed. Since my tap water has an EC of 0.5, I can filter 2000 liters with it, until I have to renew it. That costs about 100 euros and works easily and quickly via the post. The flow is almost 1 to 1 in speed, so no more waiting. I can tap the water directly from the filter and use it for my grow. I use the filter as follows: I tap water at the filter. I pour normal tap water on it, until I have an EC of 0.3. I add fertilizers etc., depending on what the plants need. I check the EC again and adjust it if necessary. I also adjust the pH value, which should be between 6.2 and 6.5, to ensure optimal nutrient uptake. I give the water to my plants. The water filter is really a great product, even if it is not very cheap in the purchase with once of 240 - 390 euros. But it pays off in the long run, as it saves me a lot of work and costs and also improves the quality of my water. u can find it here : https://watertrim.de The outlook I am very satisfied with the result of the second week. My plants have adapted well and recovered from the problems. They have grown further and formed more leaves. They have recovered well and showed a great growth. I am very excited about the next week, where it goes to the repotting and the ladies can try fertilizer for the first time. I will fertilize this run only a little late, even if I use osmosis water this time. The soil from BioBizz is really great and can carry the first weeks well alone. so week 11.. The gorillaz are carrying on beautifully, however I realised having 5 plants sharing one reservoir is now quite a bad idea.. 2/5 of them look to be well into flower, fattening up and some tri's starting to turn cloudy but look like theres still plenty of fattening up to do. The other 3 are now just beginning to fully pistil up so will still be requiring flowering nutes when I should be beginning a flush on the other 2.. any comment or advice on this would be greatly appreciated!? The Stardawgs have basically grown into tennis balls. Such a vast majority of bud sites all the way down look so much larger than I could ever have hoped and i've had to tie some of the buds to the main colas!! I will Be starting the flush this week as most Tri's are now cloudy i'd say around 4/5 currently but more throrugh macros will be taken as the days progress. The only problem i've had is some of the sugar leaves on 2 of the plants have really taken a beating and show some strange signs. I think the LED's aren't to be under estimated and i've battled some burning and what seems to be calmag issues through the grow.

Will update in about 2 weeks with dry weight and smoke report. 08/30 dry weight of 105 grams. Round 2 was an improvement in weight, but the smell and taste are not present like they were in round 1.
