🌱 GMO Cookies — Week 5 (12/12 From Seed) Late Veg / Pre-Flower Transition General Vibe The girls are feeling amazing this week — calmly exploding, super elegant, and bushing up beautifully. Structure is compact yet full, with a very balanced expression across the canopy. No rush, no stress — just plants doing plant things. Training & Structure We’re continuing with very gentle LST — mostly bending and positioning leaves rather than aggressive branch work. The goal is simple: • Open light pathways • Encourage lateral growth • Let the plants decide their final shape They’re responding incredibly well: tight internodes, bushy profiles, and strong posture. You can clearly see the progression in the photos from the beginning to the end of the week. Growth Stage Observation By the end of this week, we’re starting to see early pre-flower signs. Nothing dramatic yet, but the transition is clearly beginning. ➡️ Next week’s update should start showing more defined flower development. ⸻ 💧 Nutrition & Water Strategy This week we introduced CalMag Pro — not because the plants are asking for it, but as a proactive step heading into flower. Why now? • We’re using collected rainwater + dehumidifier water, which is extremely soft • Before stacking base nutrients and supplements, we need to build a proper mineral foundation • This ensures stability and availability later, especially during stretch and early flower demand This is preparation, not correction. Autopot Zone We’re running two feeding zones in the tent (6 plants total), which is why you’ll see different measurements in the diary photos: • Autopot zone: mineral-based recipe only • EC: 2.29 • pH: 6.0 • (Organics don’t play well with Autopots — keeping it clean and stable) • Solution temperature: ~22–23°C across both zones • Slightly warmer on purpose to support root activity during colder weather ⸻ 🌡️ Environment • Humidity: ~58% • Temperature: ~21°C Outside conditions have been tough this week (4–5°C with 90–98% humidity), so honestly, we’re happy with how stable the room is holding. More importantly, the plants are reacting calmly and positively, which always matters more than chasing textbook numbers. CO₂ remains unchanged at ~666 ppm — steady and sufficient for this stage. We’ll reassess during flower. ⸻ 💡 Lighting & PPFD • Top light: 100% • PPFD: ~700–850 (depending on plant size) The girls are praying to the light — no pushing, no forcing. We let them grow how they want to grow. Under-Canopy Lighting (LumiFlora) By the end of this week, we’re turning on the under-canopy lighting for the first time. Why now? • Plants have grown past the fixtures • It’s time for them to start recognizing photons from all directions • This prepares lower growth for the coming stretch and flower set We’re starting very gently at ~30% power, then increasing slowly based on plant response. No shock, no rush — just layered light introduced with intention. A peg from a tent, nailed a plant laid on a shovel to the ground marking the victory of man over nature the former gum has set the next floor in a plane to the previous one. As a result, we have 4 floors practically in a single plane. I removed the first two sheets and two thirds of the leading escape of the 2nd pair, I plan in this position to release up the main trunk

Two phenotypes - one purple and one white/green. The purple was very difficult to train and resulted in a couple inadvertent breaks - luckily it was repairable. The other trained very well, very flexible and worked very good for SCROG. Both produced heavily and are beautiful. The purple tends to be much more fluffy, with very long pistil hairs - the longest of any grow I have done. The white was super dense, very crystally and sticky. It will be very interesting to see how they smoke. Also, the purple tended to do very well with some nute mistakes I made as well as fluctuating pH in my water feeding. The white did not do as well in this regard but was able to get to harvest fine. Wet bud weight is prior to trimming. The buds off of these plants were HUGE!!!! Plant #1: (Purple): Wet weight - 76.58oz prior to trim; 15 colas; Terps: White - 60%, Clear - 20%, Amber - 20% Plant #2: (White): Wet weight - 71.65oz prior to trim; 16 colas; Terps: White - 70%, Clear - 30%, After 3 days of drying, took them down to trim for my jars. After a few hours filled mostly quart jars 3/4 full but also tried an Infinity jar and a gallon mason jar to minimize the number of smaller jars. Dry weights into jars: Plant #1: 14.79 oz Plant #2: 11.76oz I did pull them after a day to dry rack them for 12 hours due to a little bit higher moisture content then I would have liked ( 70%rH). Re-jarred on 6/1/23 and now holding steady at around 60% rH. Cure Check In (Week 2): 6/10 - 6/12/23: rH ~ 63 - 66%. Daily air exposure & fanning. Very smelly. Looking good - another couple weeks and will be ready.

Week 12

Really impressed with the gorilla cookies, strong, creamy gassy taste, dense purple nugs Not so impressed with the orange sherbet, airy buds, no flavour profile

Add slightly nutrients. Day Nr 16 doing topping. Nutrient tank with capacity 10L turning little bit in alkaline, at the beginning I added 3ml ph down and reach 6.4 pH, than now it’s inccrise to 6.6 on 5 days time. Same I can telling about TDS. At the beginning it was 350 ppm, but now it’s step up on 400ppm without adding nothing. Day 18 start moving out new branches from places around where was topping. Keep watering with 1.5L with slight nutrients dosage… Day 20 we can see how flower keep moving ahead after topping days ago…

1 st nug harvested (cloudy + amber trichs). Hope I can start chopping 1 of the cream mandarine this week!

SUMMARY: Still continuing with early bloom nutes this week. I ran out of rainwater this week for a few days and had to make a batch with tap water. Had some issues with humidity and temps now that the RH has naturally increased due to the size and bushiness of the plants and so I have had to turn the dehumdifier on however this raises the temps and so its about finding a good balance. I did a heavy defoliation on day 44 stripping almost all fan leaves and any lower small shoots which wont ever get enough light. I also raised the light again so that it is 16" above the canopy of my tallest plant which is a few inches taller than the NL. To mitigate this I raised the NL up by a couple inches or so. DAY 44 -------- Sunday 14th February 11:45 I made 10L of early bloom nutes with dechlorinated tap water (no rain water left), 5L at a pH of 5.7 and 5L at a pH of 5.6. Sunday 14th February 18:00 I did a heavy defoliation on the NL stripping almost all fan leaves and any lower small shoots which wont ever get enough light. I also raised the light again so that it is 16" above the canopy of my tallest plant which is a few inches taller than the NL. To mitigate this I raised the NL up by a couple inches or so. I fed the NL 2L of early bloom nutes which produced 550ml runoff (28%). [24°C/46%] DAY 45 -------- Monday 15th February 18:30 I fed the NL 2L of early bloom nutes which produced roughly 800ml runoff (40%) I THINK, as I spilt a bit in the tent. DAY 46 -------- Tuesday 16th February 11:30 I made 10L of early bloom nutes with rainwater, 5L at a pH of 5.8 and 5L at a pH of 5.9. I forgot to turn the heat down over night and the humidity is at 56% currently. [22°C/56%] Tuesday 16th February 18:30 I fed the NL 2L of early bloom nutes which produced roughly 1L runoff (50%). Shes still not back to her normal intake before the defoliation which was only 2 days ago. I turned the dehumidifier on and set it to 45% as the RH had climbed to 62%. [22°C/62%] DAY 47 -------- Wednesday 17th February 12:00 I made 10L of early bloom nutes with dechlorinated tap water, 5L at a pH of 5.7 and 5L at a pH of 5.6. Wednesday 17th February 18:30 I fed the NL 1.7L of early bloom nutes which produced roughly 820ml runoff (48%). DAY 48 -------- Thursday 18th February 18:30 I fed the NL 1.2L of early bloom nutes which produced roughly 670ml runoff (56%). Shes still hardly drinking much so I will dial this down to 1L tomorrow. I adjusted a couple of ties to expose more bud sites. I had to move the light up again by 2 inches to accommodate for growth as it was sitting at 14" above the canopy. [24°C/52%] DAY 49 -------- Friday 19th February 18:30 I found the tent at 28% RH. No idea how that's occurred but I did notice it was hotter then usual this morning. I turned the dehumidifier of for a couple of hours and it jumped back up to 61% and so I will just set it to 55% RH. I fed the NL 1.5L of early bloom nutes which produced roughly 500ml runoff (33%) so it's looks like she may finally be bouncing back after the defol last sunday. [24°C/52%] DAY 50 ------ Saturday 20th February 11:30 The tent temp has been sat at around 23°C overnight somehow. The dehumidifier keeping the humidity around 45-50% seems to also keep the temps between 23-27°C. Saturday 20th February 18:30 I fed the NL 1.5L of early bloom nutes which produced roughly 600ml runoff (40%). Looks like i have a humidity problem and so ive reluctantly removed some more leaves from Jesus as she is bushy again after a week or perhaps I didnt defol enough. If I have the dehumidifier off the humidity is in the low 60s but if I lower it to like 45-50% then the temps stays too high between 24°C-33°C. [22°C/64%]

Day 73, 25th of November 2020: Red Mandarine still not red unfortunately.... hope she will be lol. There is no any issue at all all good not much to report. Let's say we are half way. Buds on the way just need to wait to be done :) Fertilization is still the same every second day with the rationand mixture above stated. The lamp is on 11.15 min and off 12.45 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -45 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.15 pm.

UPDATE - Thurs 4th March The week has been fine. I am going there today so you may get an update this evening. Iv been posting on TheWeedTube also so I have much more videos explaining what’s going on. Plants are looking great. I got paid today so I bought an online fan to plug into the thermostat and pull fresh air in through a duct from a cooler part of the flat. In summer it won’t be as useful but to be honest I’ll probably just duct tape the sucky end of the duct to a small ac or Friday type thing, iv not really looked into it yet. Even a hillbilly cooking system would be better than nothing. ( filling a bucket up with ice, water and salt and put the end of the duct into that so it sucks in the cold air). We’ll see! Update - Monday 8th March All is well, I just want the buds to start swelling now. I found some awesome supports in Aldi. They are metal rings that the plant weaves through and has spikes that go into the pot rather than a scrog net being fixed in place. Therefore I can still move them and drain the run off.

After 4 days of heavy rain, the first mold appeared... So I spent about 18 hours searching for plants and picking out mold with tweezers After last year's experience with another seed bank, I expected the plants to be very affected by mold, but I have to say that Fast Buds genetics coped very well! Mold appear mainly on blisters to which the stem of the leaf leads water, which then collects between the stem and the blister I trimmed the plants more so that the air flows better and that water does not stick to them The plants look healthy and the flowers are gaining strength Especially the dark purple phenotypes look very dense and hard. it also looks very resistant to mold Very pleasant sweet fruity scent I haven't seen my children for 3 days, it's raining extremely ... the last time I was chased out by swarms of ants in the early evening, I've never experienced this before, there were maybe a million of them and they sat on me and on the plants I'm finally going to visit them tomorrow, I expect I'll have a lot of work to do with mold and I hope the swarms of ants haven't harmed them in any way

Completely guessing at her actual height at this point because I tied her down and am planning to let her complete her grow like this. I’ve gotten my canopy pretty even. Also top dressed with a little natures organic this week.

Great week for Mephy...other than winter being on the doorstep. 😒 Keeping her to 4 main cobs, slow and steady till she's ready for some LST. I've been adding DO (dissolved oxygen) into the water in an attempt to keep the roots happy in this tight space. So far she's loving it. If you have an aquarium pump and some airstones you can add DO to your irrigation. Worth a try if you haven't. Anyway, hope everyone had a great tiny pot week! So here we go in week 7 of 12/12. I'm currently having issues with my pH meter, or maybe my tank is just way to high on pH. It shows around 10.0 and that's not good so I truly hope it''s just a fault of the meter. I'm getting delivered new one today so I'm immediately gonna retest everything and give them looooong flush with correct pH and EC. EC shouldn't be too high and girls are very brave so far, I haven't really noticed any signs of nut burns or pH burns. Let's hope it's not gonna go wrong until new meter arrives, Other than that smell is pretty strong, I'd say maybe too strong even for me and I usually don't mind the aroma at all :) Together with new pH meter I'm getting new HPS bulb (the old one has already done 3 grows over 3 years), and dehumidifier, because I have had some issues with mould during my previous grows. I'd say 3 more weeks of feeding and 2 weeks of flush and we should be done. I wish I switched earlier because 2 plants can't really fit there and I accidentally snapped 2 main branches so I definitely want to avoid this next grow. Thanks for checking.
