D4 Was on holidays for 6 days she looks a bit yellowish overall, i hope it’s just a bit underwatering, because of the autowatering which i put a bit lower to make sure they are not overwatered. Hope she will be fine put some water today and will do so up to it feels heavy enough without draining it. 🤞 D5 watching her carefully.. a bit yellowish and red leave borders not quite sure what the problem is or if it’s just because she has only 3-4 weeks to go? let’s see.. D7 The week is over ✌️did some fertilizer and a bit more water today i feel it’s going to be alright even with the super light green status.

Maybe she had like a week more to go but I am going on vacation in a few days so she had to go. Trimmed everything off that did not have any trichomes on it. Looks great, smells great.

All growing well! She's taking the soul blend well and fattening up nicely. No kidding on the smell, it's very clearly an "old gym sock" smell... who knows what mutt strain she is. Any estimates on the final dry weight?

Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. This is a lengthy diary but I hope that people can learn some stuff from my notes shall they read them! Thanks to everyone that followed the journey, showed support or just browsed through. Nothing new this week. She's still growing steadily and the nutes seem to be doing a good job so far. I'm using the Dual Fuel with a bit of Growth Solution to raise the EC to follow the Green Plant Nutes program and it feels like it's right so I'm keeping like that. The light is set to 100% as the plants are healthy and the weather is getting a bit too cold. I upgraded my second inlet fan from a generic 150mm ball bearing fan to a 125mm Phresh Hyper Fan V2 w/ speed control. Now my tent is so much quiet with both Hyper Fans V2 working on blowing fresh air in and out. Maybe I get a Phresh Hyperfan V2 Climate Controller to manage them automatically next upgrade.

5/17 Hello everyone! Not many pics this time around, it's been a busy week! Marie has grown so much in the past week that it touched the lamp, no burns only because it's a low power light and I have a feeling that the reflective box does much of the work when it comes to lighting. Anyway, today I spent some time attaching the lamp to the top of the box as you can see from the video, I think it works great! Watered as usual, 1lt PHd @6.3 +-0.2 when the soil dries (2-3 days) and added some extra Bio-Grow; I also took the occasion to defoliate again, I want more light to reach lower nugs and I've also noticed how when I defoliate the air in the box is much fresher and clean. Week 10 will mark the full switch to flowering nutes, I'll have 3 weeks to nuke the s**t out of this plant with nutrients before flushing, fingers crossed! Let's make some calculations over the growth in height: Week 8: +13cm Week 9: +15cm Assuming +15cm as the max growth rate (I sure hope so), and considering that this plant will take a maximum of 14 weeks from germination (14th being the harvesting week), we're looking at: Week 10: 83cm Week 11: 98cm Week 12: 113cm Week 13: 128cm Week 14: 143cm Which is a whole 25 cm more than my box! XD, hopefully, once we reach week 11 (so next week) it will slow down, after all, 120cm is the maximum height for these genetics (but I hope it's a bit lower like 100 cm would be perfect)

Day 22 Flow

Week 9 for Gelato 41, She was transplanted into the big 250L pot mid last week to my outdoor spot, she doesn't look like shes grown much since last week but i think its because how big her new pot actually looks compared to the 5L pot but shes definitely bigger😂 The mulch to keep her soil cool is just straight up hay (going for as low spending costs as possible) which i had laying around the garden already from a few years ago😇 Shes getting sprayed every morning at sun rise to help with pests... as my other plants around her are having aphid issues but haven't had to kill any off of her funnily enough.

2/1/2024- Pre-Germination Activities Day 1 I have 21 weeks until final photo is do.. I took 3 seeds out of cold storage and will let them get to room temp for the next 48 hours before I go with Glass of water for germination. I have 3 beans because I will start from the very beginning helping ensure I present the best Pheno. This is going to be a fun one.. I am a few days away from being able to clear my tent out for this run.. I have a breeding run in right now and the Seeds are a few days away from being mature enough for me to take down the girls. Once I get them down I will need to get my tent cleaned up and turned over right away. This is going to be close, I will have to time them to the water and into the tray at the right time.. because I will need to get lighting on them right away.. I have my 2X2 and my light ready incase I need to hold them in the cloning machine if the others are not done in the next few days.. Glad I have options that can stretch me out for a week or 2 to give me a little more time. 2/2/2024- Pre-Germination Activities Day 2 I checked on my breeding run to see how close the seeds are and if the tent is ready for me to clear and clean but alas I am still going to need a few days. I setup the emergency 2X2 and that should give me 2-3 weeks. The plan is to still wait one more day to allow the beans to warm up to room temp and then drop them in Water sometime tomorrow. Form my Emergency 2X2 I have the following: 4" inline fan and carbon filter Fan VS-2000 light 2/3/2024- Germination Activities Day 0 - Dropped the Beans in.. Today is 0 day.. Go.. Go .. Go.. 2/4/2024- Germination Activities Day 0-1 - Checked in on them this morning and no tap roots yet.. covered them back up and back in to the closet they went. I setup the Root Riots and the Seed tray for them. I Ensured my water that I was soaking the root riots in was PHed to 5.8 and I used RO water. Afternoon Update: Checked on my Breeders and they are done. I started to harvest them, I took down the one I had reversed with STS and I took down the Black African Magic- All but one bud, I wanted to get some pics of that one today. I was only able to get 2lbs into the Cannatrol because I had to be very careful to keep the bud from the plant that was treated with the STS separated from the other seeded bud that was pollenated from the plant I reversed. Cannatrol could have held an additional 2oz of wet but not today. Ideally I need 1 more Cannatrol so I can take an entire Tent, but will figure that out. I put an additional 1.5lbs into the freezer to wait it's turn into the Cannatrol, I would have left it on the plant and taken it in 4 days when the dry cycle gets done but wasn't sure how much 2.2 lbs was equivalent to chopped and wet trimmed. 2/5/2024- Germination Activities Day 0-2 - Checked in on them this morning and 2 of them have very small tap roots out.. one still doesn't going to give them some more time. I will check in on them this evening and see if they are more open if so I will transfer the ones that are ready to their medium and seed tray. 2/6/2024- Planting Day TRUE Germination Day 0- Checked in on them this morning and all 3 of them have tap roots out. I broke the bottom of the tap root for #1 which was the biggest.. pretty sad.. I hope she survives.. I tried to be careful it just snapped off when I was trying to get it in the root riot right. Other than that all three are now in their in-between home in the 2X2 while if finish clearing and cleaning out their forever homes. 2/7/2024- Germination Day 1- Checked in on them and no surprise no sprouts yet. Sprayed the dome to moist it and light spray to the tops of the Root Riots. 2/8/2024- Germination Day 2- #3 is popped and it looks like #2 will be popped by this evening.. I got my second Cannatrol today so now I can take down the rest of the tent and get it into the dry/cure. 2/9/2024- Germination Day 3- #2 is popped as well.. so I have #2 and #3 up and still waiting to see on #1 but that might be a loss since I accidently broke off some of the Tap root when transplanting. 2/10/2024- Germination Day 4- #1 has Popped... We have ignition on all 3.. YAY!! I finished clean up and install of RDWC system, this time was unique the back left buckets 3 inch pipe wasn't seated correctly so I had to clean up about 12 gallons of water all of the floor. I also had two leaks coming from one of the Waterfall return junctions, this is why I do a full pressure test before I put anything in. I will continue to monitor it through tomorrow to ensure that I am good to go and then I will finish setting up the baskets and prepping the water to be ready for the ladies planting day!!! 2/11/2024- Germination Day 5- #1 Of course is going to be my trouble plant.. No matter what If she lives through planting in the system and making it, I think I might not cull her at all regardless, she has been such a problem, makes me wonder if she will be super worth it towards the end.. We will see as we go through this grow, but #1 has a piece of the shell on the leaves, Other than that I set up a new thing I have been doing since last grow converting my Baskets into Sure plants so I can see exactly where the water is when I plant them and ensure I have the water up high enough that they are able to access it and grow but not too high were they are drowning. 2/12/2024- Germination Day 6- Everything seems to be going good.. will just keep them moist and let the roots grow for a few more days before I transplant to forever home. 2/13/2024 - Germination Day 7- Just keeping them Moist. 2/14/2024 - Germination Day 8 - Planting day.. they are now in the system.. :-)I had to fill the water to the bottom of the basket where I could see water on the bottom rocks and just coming up where I had created my whole/ sure plant. 2/15/2024 - Germination Day 9- Top fed just a little to keep them moist and encourage root growth towards the water. I ensured the PH is right at 5.98-6.02 range. 2/16/2024 - Germination Day 10- Top fed just a little to keep them moist and encourage root growth towards the water.

I stopped nutrients a few days ago. Beginning to see a mixture of amber and milky trichomes. Flushing for a few more days then harvest. Such a beautiful first grow for me. What an experience. Will be germinating my next seed shortly before harvest red poison from sweet seeds. This was my first grow it was a random free seed with my order of red poison from gardensupplyplug. Will be getting a new light also my viparspectra v1200 is taking a shit lenses on leds are melting but leds all still work somehow. Gonna go with a brand new xs4000 since I bought the one I have used on offer up it's 3 years old. Thanks if you read this and left a comment!
