Week 18 Day 120 | 08/11/2021: I just can’t stop looking at them, they are so plump 🍑 I watered them today with just 1L of plain water because I want to harvest them in 4 days and don’t want them to wilt, but at the same time I know it’s better to let the soil be on the dryer side when harvesting. Day 124 | 12/11/2021: Today the beauties are being harvested!!! So exciting because they’ve been growing for a while and I can’t wait to finally vape them. From day 1, no, even from germination, the seeds were so strong and quite resistant to nutrient deficiencies. Very good and strong genes, I’m really happy that I tried them out! I will be hanging them with the stem to dry for 10-14 days, I keep the leaves so that the humidity can stay high in the tent, I used to struggle a lot with humidity when I would hang them without leaves, and then the buds tasted like hay for the next month, so I try to avoid that now. Can’t wait to see that the total weight is! They are quite big but I think the buds are not extremely dense so it could be deceiving 👀

Week 2 Needed to pop more seeds. I will make the count next week and see which phenotypes are the best to select to grow. Some batch of seeds didn’t sprout at all, i.e: AK. Super Skunk only 1/3. Spliff Strawberry sprouted after 1 week in cotton when I was about to give up counting on them.... this is why it’s always better to pop more seeds than expected to grow ! This isn’t the best start, but things shall go back to normal in a couple of weeks. The fan is on speed 1 and not blowing directly on the seedlings. The Mars-Hydro LED is definitely an excellent light for growing Cannabis when you keep it at the right distance. Cellmax BIO soil is perfect, no need to start in plugs you can directly put the germinated seeds in the soil without being worried about the nutrients and the EC/mS. Let’s see next week how it goes. (I’m looking for a job in the Cannabis industry as Master Grower, Mineralogist, Quality Control)

Week 14 - August 13 Back from holidays. One week without carrying plants. All is Ok ✅ the Blumat irrigation system worked perfectly, Aphids are totally eradicated: the Garlic mixture is a miracle. 🐛I found 5 caterpillars on 2 plants: it makes lot of damage on a Bubble Gum I didn’t mention in the diary, but the other are safely. caterpillars are the Enemy N°1 at this point: must check everyday. 4/20: I have 3 good clones of the shortie growing, and another FFT6 seedling. 5/1: The seedling is now in a 5 gallon pot outdoors, and 2 of the clones are in my closet getting ready to be transplanted into 5 gallon pots and moved outdoors. One of the FFT6 clones will be grown in my tiny tent. 5/6: I took the last two clones outdoors and fed them really well. I also did some training on the seedling and the clone in my tiny tent. 5/7: I did a foliar application of Axiom Harpin proteins today. 5/9-5/11: Did foliar feeding and lots of training every day. 5/12 - 5/17: Fed the outdoor girls on the 13th, then we had lots of rain all week. The seedling is a beast. Installed a new 200w 3000k waterproof LED over the outdoor plants. The indoor clone looks great. I gave her some water on the 16th. 5/18 - 5/19: The seedling and two clones outdoors are all flowering?!?! I suppose it's because I germ'd and vegged them for a month under 24/0 before taking them outdoors under 14/10 of daylight... I'm really hoping she sees the days getting longer and goes back to vegging. I need time to bush her up really well! I ordered another 200w 3000k waterproof LED to replace the two cool white 60w LED's, so that will be 550w total watts of lighting outdoors in addition to the 5'ish hours of direct sunlight they get at mid-day, and the tree-diffused sunlight they get for the rest of the day. Thinking about trying a product called Bud Bomb...has lots of hormones, cytokinins, and auxins that when applied at the beginning of flowering supposedly causes more lateral branching and less vertical stretch. As it is, I'm spending too much time training her and the other outdoor plants to stay below the eyeline of nosy neighbors, so I'm really considering giving it a shot... 5/20: I went for it and sprayed them with Bud Bomb this morning...hope it works like they claim.. 5/21 - 7/4: The clone i grew in the tiny tent got to move in under the quantum boards for her last 2 weeks and fattened up nicely. I harvested her on 6/28 and washed her buds, then jarred and weighed her on 7/3. She produced 110g of cola and 51g of lower bud...very little of it was larfy.👍 After a few great weeks flowering outdoors, i was invaded by spider mites and grasshoppers. The #6 seed-grown plant didn't make it, but i brought the #6 clone indoors and treated her for spider mites a few times, along with the 2 x #1 clones and the #7 plant. That outdoor clone now in my closet is still flowering as of 7/4, but had her last dose of nutes on 7/3. Flushing in a few days.

Je dispose des grillages plus gros autour des plants, je dégage également les alentours afin de laisser passer plus facilement les rayons du soleil et de faire baisser l’humidité ambiante. Les plants ont maintenant beaucoup plus d’espace et peuvent se développer pleinement pour prochainement, passer en floraison. Je renouvelle le marc de café autour des plants pour éloigner les potentiels nuisibles. Je pulvérise les plants au purin d’orties le jour 59. Arrosage à l’engrais de croissance le jour 60.

Ok so I put a significant amount of time into this grow. Learned a ton (everything lol) as it was my first. After the final week, I decided to harvest when the trichs were milky and clear. Few amber here and there but time constraints meant I had to chop a bit earlier than I’d have preferred. I do prefer a more uplifting cerebral effect yet realize with an indica leaning strain, having all cloudy and maybe 25% amber would have been 👌🏼. My drying process began by chopping a plant at a time, I washed the buds to get the PM or traces off (also grime from outdoor city air). I used a big bucket and did hydrogen peroxide. In heindsight I would have used baking soda as well and did a two step wash. After washing them, I hung to dry with a fan until they stopped dripping then into the tent they went for drying at roughly 68 degrees and 55% humidity. I staggered the harvest and wet trimmed about 70% of the time with the latter 30% dry trimmed. This was done for convenience and to try both ways. I dried everything for about 12-13 days until the smallest stems snapped and the larger ones were borderline cracking. I started jarring everything with humidity meters, about a half oz per smaller widemiuth jam jar. The smell was never hay-like but did vary in strength and scent from plant to plant. Almost no seeds which was pretty great to see. One of the outdoor plants had quite a few seeds so I kept that separate. It ironically had the stinkiest floral smell. So what’s the total!! After curing in jars for about a month, I weighted everything and came out with 10.5oz of cured trimmed flower and about 2 oz of sugar leaf trim which I am making canna butter with and cooking. Made some reduculously strong cookies: 11 cookies from about 10 grams of trim. Ate two and was medicated for about 24hrs 😂. Some of the buds were super dense and cured down to 58 RH easily. There were a few of the large big buds that had mass but less density and fewer trichomes. These were more red-hair visually than the others. The smoke: surprisingly smooth. The effect is energizing and uplifting at first, with a nice sedative body feeling on the second half of things. Overall, I’m super happy with the result. Learned a TON and will be modifying my approach a bit next go-around this spring. Stay tuned!!!

Conditions have remained stable...realized I forgot to drop the light after cleaning, so dropped her back down to 28.5”. She has reacted well to every slight adjustment made...

Hey guys! New week, here we are! As always, every Sunday is cleaning day. Took everything again from the tent, washed the saucers. Was also time to cut down some leaves as it was starting to look very bushy and hard for the light to get through it. During that time, came across with some bugs under the foliage, which isn't a great sign for sure. Not to mention the fruit flies that moved in and are making my life a little chaos. On top of that it seems that this little one is getting some deficiencies. Gonna ask for help in the right section to clear it out Reducing now the RH a bit, and watering now on every 72h instead of 48h to keep the grow as dry as possible. Increasing the ventilator speed was another attempt, it so much air circulating should be hard for them to make a living inside. Just put now more of those fly traps and will add a couple glasses of cider vinegar here and there, as it attracts most of the flying things with success. Note that some plants are yellowing and that's never a good sign. Though for few weeks it was Nitrogen deficiency, but after increasing it and the CalMag values, the problem persists, so I'm inclined for something bug related. Besides that, temps are still very stable, RH was changed, now to 40% tops, and the light went a little lower to get it closer to the plants - always with the light burn effect in mind. 40cm is the line between the tops and the lamp. Flowering is looking good, buds are forming well and seems that's gonna be a good ending if I can keep the bugs under control. Oh, I forgot. She has a weird smell, like a rotten mango. Not sure if that's the skunk in it coming up, or if I should actually dig and look for root rot. I don't believe in the latter one as my feedings are never abundant/excessive, use fabric pots, have great ventilation. But, the fact I don't believe in it doesn't mean I'm right. Probably I'm wrong. First signs of trichomes are here, you can see it with the naked eye. That's all folks, have a great week

During week 12 all plants continue to get ripe and the leaves get more and more yellow fade. This is a good thing at this point, since that means the plants are FLUSHED properly and all BIO NOVA nutrients and sugars inside the plant-matter are used up. ONLY A WELL FLUSHED PLANT SMOKES SMOOTHLY WHEN DRIED!!! Since I plan to smoke these buds as my medicinal cannabis against my chronic back pain, I am extra keen on well flushed buds! All my genetic treasures GLISTEN WITH TRICHOMES NOW! Its a beautiful sight and makes me smile every time I see them. The aroma coming from the tent is overwhelmingly strong now and makes my mouth water. Since almost all the pistils have turned brown now, it is time to check the trichomes, if the plants are ready to harvest. I take a hand-held microscope and carefully look at a top-bud. The trichome-heads I see, are all milky now and some of them have turned amber. Thats the perfect time to harvest, since its PEAK-THC now. When all trichome heads have turned milky the THC-content is at its highest, when they start to turn amber, THC breaks down again. The more AMBER TRICHOMES you have, the MORE SEDATIVE a plant gets and then it will make you MORE SLEEPY when you smoke it. The SANlight EVO4-120 LEDs have done an OUTSTANDING JOB! The quality and amount of top-grade medicinal buds I have grown under them is MUCH BETTER THAN UNDER HPS. I can only STRONGLY RECOMMEND the SANlight LEDs...the new EVO-series works GREAT! At the end of week 12 (=after 9 weeks of flowering) its time TO HARVEST MY GENTIC TREASURES!

Week 16 (Harvest) 1-2 Drying day 1 Temperature: 24.5 to 19.5 degrees Humidity: 65% to 50% The girls are ready to be harvested! Before chopping them down, i took a lot of pictures. I was able to remove most of the soil from the Biscotti #2 to see the rootball. I hang the plants as a whole to have a slow dry. The exhaust fan is on setting 4. 2-2 Drying day 2 Temperature: 19.1 to 17.5 degrees Humidity: 62% to 57% I changed the exhaust fan to setting 2 because setting 4 was a bit high in my opinion. 3-2 Drying day 3 Temperature: 19.9 to 18 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% Today i checked up on the drying plants, and i see there are some buds touching other buds, so i chopped the plants in half. The buds are still to the main stem for a slow dry, but are hanging more spreaded out to prevent any budrot issues. I changed the exhaust fan to setting 1, as someone told me that it was enough air movement for drying. 4-2 Drying day 4 Temperature: 19.8 to 18.5 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% 5-2 Drying day 5 Temperature: 19.9 to 18.8 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% Today i checked on the drying plants and the buds are shrinking a bit, they are getting a little bit crispy on the outside aswell, I hope they wont dry as fast, and i aim for a 12/14 day dry. For the next grow i already germinated 2x Chemdog (GreenHouseSeeds) 2x Gorilla Kush (GanjaFarmerSeeds) and 1x Deep Candy CBD (GreenHouseSeeds) And I have some upgrades planned aswell! I bought a autopot kit with 4 15L pots, this way the plants will have water and air 24/7 whenever they need it. I have seen alot of great results using autopots so i am very exited to try it out!
