Week 5 topping and clean up and used top for a clone

For 6 plants I got 415 grams which is so far, again my most yield to date. I think the light is deffo a factor plus the genetics help. It says it has up to 27% THC, it was deffo one of my favourites and I think I’ll be growing this again in the future. I’m terrible of explaining the smell and taste but it was really danky and a lot of my mates loved it.

She has a flowery, herbal, sweet smell. She grew the biggest in the run. Nice purple colors were coming out. Very frosty, and smells great. Day 33-40 (May 24th-May 31st) (Day 34) I just found a herm branch on the tight blueberry pheno. It looks like a random pollen sack opened right above a lower branch. I removed the sack but I saw a small amount of dust fall onto one of the lower branches. I’m going to leave it to see if it will pollinate that small branch at all. I spent a good 5 minutes looking closely for bananas or claws but couldn’t find anymore. The main bud is clearly unaffected so I will just leave it unless it is visibly seeding itself. Too bad because I’m really excited for this plant. (Day 36) Not a lot has happened since I flushed them. Growth actually looks healthy and I don’t see any deficiencies on anything yet. (Day 37) Both of these badazz cheese phenos are picture perfect and easily hold up against Canadian and California quad grade. I might try to reveg them at the end and take some clones. They have this unique pungent, grassy, sour milk smell that is just wonderful. The density and bud structure is looking great too. This whole plant will probably take 3 minutes to trim if that. (Day 38) Just found a banana on the shitty blueberry pheno. This pheno is trash and I would honestly throw it away if it didn’t mess up the 3 perfect rows. It has almost no frost, no smell, is airy and has bad structure. I’ve actually never seen a plant with such little frost. Even outdoors. (Day 39) I think most of this tent will be done by day 60 but I will probably ride it out until day 70+. I don’t think the blueberries or the jacks will fill out very much either way but taking it too day 70 will ensure maximum production from each plant.

Day 36 Grow Diary Entry – Day 36 (Flower Day 16) Strain: Sour Frootz by Karma Genetics Plants: 4 clones Training: HST + SCROG Today is Flowering Day 16, and the Sour Frootz ladies are officially deep into the early-to-mid bloom stage. Bud sites are now well-defined, and the pistils are stacking up nicely. The stretch phase has slowed down slightly, giving a good window for structural management. To keep the canopy even and under control, I applied high-stress training (HST) by bending and tucking the taller tops through the SCROG net. I also reduced overall plant height by about 25 cm, evening out the top layer across all four plants. This should help maximize light penetration and bud development across the entire canopy. The plants handled the stress well—no signs of wilting or shock so far. With this structure locked in, the SCROG net is now fully supporting the horizontal spread, allowing more light to reach secondary bud sites. The aroma is intensifying slightly, a sweet, fruity tang starting to build up when brushing against the leaves. Everything is on track. She's getting heavy. Buds are a bit too puffy for my taste. They feel hard and got plenty of mass but inside there are lots of tiny air pockets.

Week 3 of flowering has started! More defoliation and loolipoping is going on and is passing the surface of the SOG... buds keep fattening, although this light is very poor I think inhave mentioned that before!!

Start of week 5. Week 4 went well and like the OG Kush, the leaves dropped overnight from day 6 into 7 of week 4. She's a bit hungrier and will need a bit extra feed. Overall the plant is looking good, bud sites are filling in and she's starting to smell. She's already incredibly sticky!

I do not delete my teas and let the plant pots dry out slightly before feeding. I try to do this weekly - as we get further into the growth during the flowering stage I will add DTE Seagull Guano increasing the phosphorus. Week 4 update - through the first week of the stretch and all is developing well. It’s really only the one strong male that’s started showing significantly. Most of the females have trace pistils and are still rapid vegging as expected. Every plant continues showing excellent hybrid vigour and there are literally zero noticeable deficiencies. Currently, the count is at about 2/3 males + about 2/3 indica dominant fem phenos. We took clones of everything female this week so that we can bud em out proper in the dutchy cabinet once the pollen subsides. That’s where we’ll get a real look at the bid quality👌. They’re all quite young at only 3/4 weeks from seed but still look hardy and strong. Rigged up a new drip ring delivery system so that we could take off for a couple days and make watering easier for my mother in-law. Anyone wants the skinny on those, just throw me a dm - super easy design and save a ton of cash and time. All told - were well on our way to the final finish of this generation and the punnet squaring should be interesting once we’re done. End of the day, the grower in me is just giddy for the next cycle. Finally gonna have the option to grow a bunch of different fems for a shit ton o bud👍👌💪. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts.
