Always cool to see what old school strains are all about. If there’s something experience has taught me is that classics are classics for a reason, and that’s the theme of this cycle. The germination was exceptionally fast, followed by the development of a thick stalk and huge broad leafs, this Gorilla surely started strong. Humidity and temperature kept fairly high throughout the week (70%/ 24°C), with regular misting, which they love! So far so good, feels like a happy and healthy seedling. Let’s see what she’s got 💪🌱

Decided to flip to flower this week. Ramped up to 1.1 ec before flipping. Probably a tad too slow since they look hungry. Will slowly increase. Did some more LST to widen them up a more during the stretch. .

Die fünfte Blütewoche ist zu Ende: Viel habe ich nicht gemacht. Die Buds schwellen jeden Tag sichtbar an, der Geruch hat sich in Richtung Kirschkaugummi entwickelt. Bei der rechten Pflanze entwickelt sich ein kleiner Rotstich. Anzeichen vom purpeln? Wär ja cool.

She’s a beauty like her sister purple punch! She was number 2 to pop up (strawberry pie) and took to training straight away top of the class on mission catch up to purple... I defoliated and tied down through the weak shape shifting her into a lovely little bush! She has started to show signs that she also will start her pre flower stretch, so I’m excited to see what happens! I shuffled them around to suit age height etc as I will have to start raising my lights! In bloom I set these mars hydro leds to 12” and 18” during veg!

Week 2, Day 10: all 5 seedlings has emerged from the coco that I've prepared.Most of them are between 6-9cm tall and 4 true leaves has appeared. Been feeding my self made nutrients equivalent to the GH main 3 Floral Series. The coco that I have bought is from a 5.5kg block which i buffered with Calmag solution of 150% strength and left overnight for 8+ hours. The girls seems healthy and happy at the moment however I have read some reviews that these 2 strains BCN Critical XXL & Big Bud XXL are not hard to care for and mostly forgiving on the nutes. I always ensure that my PH levels are within par of 5.5-6.5 & the recommended PPM according to the feeding schedule of GH label instruction which is between 300-400 ppm. The other 3 plants are Landrace Sativas which I grew earlier and 2 has been given LST (Low Stress Training) back 5 days ago and I noticed that the smaller leaves are thriving into bigger fan leaves and thicker branches! I overdid the 1st plant which seem to be slightly overbent including the main stem which quickly recovered and healed overtime. these plants are really amazing to watch them grow. I will be transplanting the 5 autoflowers into a 5 gallon pot in another day or 2,until then happy growing! 😸

Well this is a fun line up, as you can see the White Widow has some albinism but it does not seem to be holding her back as she is very beautiful and strong. The Kabul is the tallest in this line up and she seems as though she will be a tower of love. The Black Opium has many mutations as you can see but we are very hopeful she will sort herself out, as always it seems the ones who fight the hardest can sometimes turn out to be the most brilliant and we have hopes for her. The Purple Opium is doing a great job at this thing called life, we look forward to watching them all bloom, but this one holds a special place in our tent!

North lights is doing good. She is just about bulking and will be switched to ph water in a few days. She has a earthy citrus aroma. Everything has been going good. I just recently made a growdiaries account and wasn’t able to get one of my Gelato Auto by Fastbuds. But I was really happy with the results and wanted to show it off a bit. I ended up with 105 grams dry from the 1 autoflower plant alone! Also mid grow as I was entering the flowering stage I broke one of the bigger stems during lst so I know for sure I would have pulled a QP off of her alone. Really happy with that and not to mention the quality of nugs I got off of her.

Besonderheiten: -Tag 44 heute wurde sie gegossen und wir haben den Dünger angepasst -Tag 46 sie war beim Friseur 😛 -Tag 48 die Blumen werden langsam dicker 😍

DAY 21: With the settling in period well passed and the beginning of establishing their bases in the pots , it was time to get busy on the planned Methods to train them with. I enjoy trying different methods when growing multiple plants from a strain and comparing their finishes. It can be handy to watch which way pulls the best from them. #1 Amnesia Haze has been f.i.m.m.e.d and seems to have caught her in a good spot. Hopefully a multi-crown will form as the lowers catch up now. Amnesia #2 still has her rectangular look but I decided to top her as the node lengths could be a sign of a more sativa grow pattern possibly. This should keep her managed along with her potentially shorter sisters. The growth tips will be encouraged outwards now to give them their own space as they form. Amnesia #3 has so far only been cleaned out of her 1 and 2 nodes. She will be bent over once she is tall enough to safely do it to her. All looking happy and a nice cour still so hopefully flowering will be close now to use the stretch to shape them. Girl Scout Cookies # 1 has been bent over after working her stem a little between my thumb and finger to soften the stem again. She has stood back up once already so I have now had to use a tent peg to keep the 5th node down .... #2 G.s.c also had the same treatment but her stem snapped so I had to quickly reset her to let her fix the break. She is repairing it and again starting to feed the leaves on her 5th node. If she doesnt repair enough , I can top her too. They both have a good amount of growth on them so should be nice producers. All of the girls are due to go j derby the sp3000 directly in a day or so as I am harvesting a few others . They will be in then best spot to hit flowering stretch then. Onwards and upwards growmies. Be happy. UPDATE # I have been busy keeping g them trained over the past few days and wanted to show their progress before the next weekly update. It can help to show how the plants respond to the initial pinches /bends etc... They are bushing out where they need to now and the fimmed girl is bang on the money for the hotspot I think. Day 49 Flip day! Just flipped them to 12/12 took loads of leaves off. Let's see if I've guessed the sex right then 😏 I think I've got 3 fems but people still tell me I want know until I've flipped 🤷‍♂️🏼 Update: Day 50 and day 1 of flower looking very happy will give a nice feed when soil dries out. Lights are now maxed out and on Day 51, day 2 of flower I'm sure all 3 are definitely fems will keep eye on them next few days 👀 Update again: Day 53, Day 4 of flower and they looking beautiful 😍

I think she is going to have fat buds. Just stacking now...Plant is non fussy.

A notable treatment for fungus gnats (Trauermücken) using nematodes was applied early in the week, which required adjustments in watering to facilitate effective nematode deployment. Environmental Conditions: The environment was stable with slight increases in daytime and nighttime temperatures towards the end of the week. 2. Gorilla Zkittlez: Growth: Progressed from 7 cm to 9.5 cm in height by the end of the week. Health: Similar to Tropicana Cookies, this strain exhibited signs of early nutrient issues (thickening of veins and lighter green in new growth) that were effectively managed, leading to improved color and reduced vein prominence. Interventions: Application of Alfa Boost and Epsom Salt continued, adjusting as needed based on plant response. Plans to increase PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density) were made to encourage stronger growth responses. Challenges: Like the other strains, initial signs of fungus gnat (Trauermücken) were addressed with nematodes. 3. Apple Strudel: Growth: Showed a steady increase from 6.5 cm to 9 cm. Health: Initial challenges with vein thickness and lighter green patches were managed through similar nutrient adjustments as the other strains. Interventions: Consistent nutrient management with Alfa Boost and Epsom Salt helped stabilize growth and coloration. Caught up with the others by the end of the week, after initially lagging slightly behind in growth. Environmental Notes: The plant environment was kept stable, mirroring the conditions of the other strains with slight temperature increases noted towards the week's end. General Observations and Actions: Pest Management: The introduction of nematodes early in the week helped manage the presence of Trauermücken across all plants, a necessary step to prevent infestations. Nutrient Management: The consistent use of Alfa Boost and Epsom Salt across all strains helped address minor nutrient imbalances seen as vein thickening and changes in leaf coloration. Environmental Control: Slight increases in temperature and adjustments in humidity levels were monitored to ensure optimal growth conditions. These adjustments were crucial as the plants transition from seedling to more mature vegetative stages. Conclusion: The second week showed promising growth and stability across all strains. While minor issues were quickly addressed through targeted interventions, the overall health of the plants remained strong. Moving forward, the focus will be on maintaining this momentum and carefully monitoring environmental parameters and plant responses to optimize growth.
