06/01(85) - I've decided to flower for a little longer, i have cut back all the large fan leaves for this final stretch. some of the side buds are getting heavy and almost as big as the main colas. 07/01(86) - I am just dyeing to harvest her but will hold off a little longer, included a video to get a scale. I've been massively impressed by this strain so far. leaves are still a dark green 08/01(87) - This morning at 8am she has been banished to darkness, will check on in 24 hours but expecting to go 48 hours. gave last plain feed yesterday and pot is still heavy so no more water. hoping to harvest on day 89/90 (sorry for mass picture dump) 09/01(88) - Completed 24hr of darkness and checked buds for mold. water has now been used up and pot is light. Noticed the smell is easier to distinguish. going to leave for another day as I am waiting for some sieves/gloves/trimmers before I harvest. 10/01(89) - Checked this morning at 8am and the COCO was bone dry. I have now cut her down at 4pm and weight was 401g but that with stems and leaves straight from cutting (might weigh tomorrow once trimmed). I have began the trimming but have to do it in parts due to time restraints. Quick One (81 days) is now back inside the tent but is still too big. will see if its worth keeping in the next week How do others check wet weight?? I will be completing a harvest page in a few days once I have fully trimmed and dried to get final yield before curing.

Never got around to updating this. Grow was a good learning experience that will help coming grows go much more smoothly. Despite taking forever and having a fair few deficiencies throughout, the quality of bud turned out great, better than anything you can get in my location anyway. Mates loved it.

Took 2 days to germinate Day 1: planted in soil 1/4 inch deep or so. Day 2: Had to replant because the root was growing horizontally just below the surface after doing so the stem turned a purplish color. Day 3: starting 3rd set of leafs also set out water to raise humidity in the tent. Day 4: looming good nothing new Day 5: looking good regularly misting, definitely growing but I think she's focusing on her roots. Day 6: looking great going to give her a good watering probably about .75 gallon

Hey guys! New week, here we are! As always, every Sunday is cleaning day. Took everything again from the tent, washed the saucers. Was also time to cut down some leaves as it was starting to look very bushy and hard for the light to get through it. During that time, came across with some bugs under the foliage, which isn't a great sign for sure. Not to mention the fruit flies that moved in and are making my life a little chaos. This was the strain most attacked by the flies, and those bugs that live under the leaves. Reducing now the RH a bit, and watering now on every 72h instead of 48h to keep the grow as dry as possible. Increasing the ventilator speed was another attempt, it so much air circulating should be hard for them to make a living inside. Just put now more of those fly traps and will add a couple glasses of cider vinegar here and there, as it attracts most of the flying things with success. Note that some plants are yellowing and that's never a good sign. Though for few weeks it was Nitrogen deficiency, but after increasing it and the CalMag values, the problem persists, so I'm inclined for something bug related. Besides that, temps are still very stable, RH was changed, now to 40% tops, and the light went a little lower to get it closer to the plants - always with the light burn effect in mind. 40cm is the line between the tops and the lamp. Flowering is looking good, buds are forming well and seems that's gonna be a good ending if I can keep the bugs under control. They're showing the first signs of flowering, so we decided to switch already the nutrients in the last feeding of the week. That's all folks, have a great week

I always find it hard to say how much water they are taking because the whole auto pot thing. It would be more useful to maybe have an option to be able to change the unit because it would be way easier for me to say how much water has been put in the res during the week - sometimes even that’s hard to remember for me! Aaaaanyway, things are going fine in the grow - I turned down the light just a tiny bit as the pistols were showing signs of having too much light and they were just looking a little bleached out, so I turned down the light to around 80-90% as well as I think I raised it a little bit also. It’s much harder keeping everything stable in such a small space when I am used to having a room to use but oh well, it is what it is - I am really lucky / stupid to be doing this one, however, I also went into the grow knowing I may have to kill her at any moment - dependant upon visits etc. I know photo growers always say there is no difference in speed between autos and photos but there is a couple of weeks in it most of the time - at the very least. I tried it, my last proper grow I selected all fairly fast flowering photos (not those photos that have been bred with autos to make them quick but just generally fast flowering plants) and it still took longer than my longest auto has taken and it annoyingly Hermes so had to turn into hash coz it was super annoying.) but that’s all in the past now… So I haven’t had to resort to using my AC yet but I did get a 1/4 of the price knocked off because it doesn’t work with the app properly and that’s basically what it was sold on! Don’t go to klarstein, people! She’s def been stretching for sure but I remember this being a really squat plant anyway and I have also trained it in a bit of an odd manner so that it grew outwards with a flatter canopy - I wouldn’t top in future. I don’t really know why I did - maybe because I always have (for the most part) but I think she’d have grown taller and had bigger side branching if I hadn’t but having said that it is pretty much impossible to tell! Unless you do an A/B test - which I obviously don’t have room for! In the next week I am hoping to see her get really hairy and hoping to have to attach a carbon filter - as that would mean she’s happy and I’m going to get some dank. With regards to expected harvest - I genuinely have no idea. She averages at around 2.5z/plant going on the info put into grow diaries and that it about what I got last time - I don’t think I ever weighed it tbh coz I grew it just to turn into rosin. Having said that, it is a totally different set up and the first time I am using this light, so I’m not sure of the capabilities of what is probably a 120-140w light - now I have dimmed it down. I mean, I guess if she was starved for light I wouldn’t have had to turn it down so I’m confident it can produce sticky buds. I will also turn it up to full power in the last couple weeks. She’s meant to be a 10 week or 70 day strain - and I hope that is true because I am going on holiday in early July so I can’t have her going on and on and on. She will have to be cut when she will have to be cut - and maybe hung whilst I am away with the ability to control the environment over Wi-Fi (and probably a camera). Iv just looked at dates and actually she can go on for 13 weeks and so it is all good - she should still be drying by the time I go there and should be ready for me when I get back - I’ll be doing a dry trim as I always do just because it slows down the drying process even more - although actually to be fair the main reason I used to do that was I didn’t have seperate climate control for drying and couldn’t use the tent as was on a perpetual grow. This time I’ll be able to set it tov 60%/60f and hopefully keep it there for a full couple of weeks. Obviously I get rid of big the fan leaves and also chop it into smaller branches but other than that I prefer to do it all dry - saves your choppers for one thing!

12/25/2023-Germination Day 1 Merry X-mas 2023 I decided to start a run of SolFIre Gardens Hoodz Candyz S1. I am going to do a cup filled with RO water a touch of Hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for 24-48 hours until I see tap root then I am going to put it into a rapid rooter.. Tap root Down and put it about 1/4 of the say down the Rapid rooter. I made some modifications to my basket on this run.. I have taken a few Pods that I use for my cloning machine and decided that I am going to try and use them as sure plants, so that I can take my water right up to the bottom of the basket this time and see if these can make my planting more consistent.   12/26/2023-Germination Day 2 Tap root achieved Planting Commencing 12/27/2023-Germination Day 3 Misted the dome lightly misted the rapid rooter and added a little water to the bottom of the pan to encourage root growth to the pan. 12/28/2023-Germination Day 4 Ground Hogs day 12/29/2023- Germination Day 5 She is up, she has broken surface, I misted the root riot, and around the bottom of the tray to try and entice root growth down rapidly. 12/31/2023- Germination Day 6 Ground Hogs Day 1/1/2024-Germination Day 7 HAPPY NEW YEARS!!.. I did it I planned it out so my planting day would fall on New Years and it worked.. Yay!!! 1/2/2024- Germination Day 8 Since the roots are not to the water yet, I am pouring one cup of water lightly on the hydroton around the lady to try and encourage root growth down to the water.. 1/3/2024- Germination Day 9 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. 1/4/2024- Germination Day 10 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. I will just continue to top feed until roots are in the water.. Shouldn't be more than a few more days. 1/5/2024- Germination Day 11 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. I am going to change the water Sunday and kick off Week 1, I will just continue to top feed until roots are in the water.. The smell on this lady is absolutely insane. The only way I can describe it is a dank smelling cherry. Trimmed 2 ozs after drying got done and had the whole house smelling. Very impressed with the nose tone and taste of the Cherry Cola and its not even cured yet. Growing this plant has turned me on to the cherry terps and will continue to look for them.
