Strategic Scrogging: To tame the exuberant growth, a well-timed second Scrog at day 7 is in play, orchestrating the dance of foliage. It's a symphony of green, ensuring that our Lemon Orange beauties grow with grace and control. Nutrient Management: The week kicks off with a refreshing flush, bidding farewell to the old nutrients and welcoming a new chapter. From the second day onward, a mindful approach unfolds, with 80% of the recommended nutrients by Terra Aquatica. Day 71 from seed the plant seems to be coming along nicely and flowering stretch has come to a end . I cut some of the lower branches that were carrying some flower because there was no way they were going to develop on time with the higher branches because of lack of light penetration at that lower level and since nothing well happened to those lower branches she can start concentrating her effort and energy on to the higher buds. I never even weighed out my harvest, but it was almost 3 mason jars stuffed full. I actually never smoked it either; I rosin pressed every gram of that $hit. Definitely better quality than the dispensary concentrate I’m used to. I’m very happy with my results, considering it’s my first run. They went through a lot like I moved halfway through, the plants lived I am unventilated closet for a bit because my tent wouldn’t fit and had to buy/wait for a new one, then had to deal with the winter cold in my environment too and all that. It was really fun and a huge learning experience. Hard to rate the strain considering it was my first grow, but again, considering everything I put these plants through, I give it high rating. I would recommend.

🌿 Sour Diesel — Catch-Up Report (Weeks 2.5 → 4 | 12/12 Transition) First — a quick word to everyone following the diary We want to start this update by apologizing for doing a two-and-a-half week report in one go. This is not a change in transparency or process — it’s simply to bring Sour Diesel back in sync with the rest of the room. All plants are evolving under the same tent, same environment, same rhythm. Having one diary lag behind doesn’t serve the journey — so we’re catching her up, cleanly and honestly. Thank you for understanding 💚 ⸻ 🌱 General Behavior & Growth Sour Diesel has been growing beautifully. • Strong, healthy structure • Deep green, lush foliage • No stress signals • Calm, confident growth She transitioned into 12/12 smoothly and is now fully sharing the same rhythm as the rest of the room. ⸻ ✋ Training Response (Week 3) Training started in Week 3, using only: • leaf tucking • gentle leaf bending No aggressive techniques. Her response was excellent. By the end of Week 4: • She became noticeably bushier • Leaves increased in size • Side branches began to push outward and upward • Branch length reached roughly 4–5 fingers, which is perfect for this stage Nothing exaggerated, nothing forced — just natural structure opening up. ⸻ 🌸 Flowering Signals (or lack of — and why that’s okay) Despite being under 12/12: • No visible flowering signs yet • No pistils • No true flip signals This is expected. Why? • She had ~15 days of 18/6 vegetative phase • She’s now completing ~2 weeks of 12/12 • Sour Diesel often hesitates, then commits fully She feels close — almost like she’s thinking about it. We expect clear signs very soon, likely at the start of the next week. Ending this week: ➡️ bushier ➡️ more structured ➡️ clearly preparing ⸻ Nutrition & Autopot Reality (Important Note) She is currently being fed the same vegetative recipe, with one key adjustment. Autopots & organics — the reality Some of the inputs we normally use are organic / biological. These work beautifully with: • some gravity feeding • hand watering • living solutions But they do NOT work well in irrigation systems like Autopots. Why: • Living inputs can settle • Cause build-ups • Create pH fluctuations • Reduce line consistency • “Alive” water doesn’t like being stored or recirculated So for now: What she’s receiving • Plagron Terra Grow only in the Autopot system • EC lowered to 0.8 (instead of 1.0) • Even though NPK is present, we keep EC conservative • No boosters in the reservoir Occasional top feeding Once or twice, when watering the rest of the room: • She received the full recipe via top watering • This is likely how we’ll continue once demand increases Flower will bring higher needs — we’ll adapt when she asks, not before. ⸻ 🌬️ Environment No changes here: • Temperatures stable • Humidity stable • Airflow unchanged Everything remains identical to the rest of the room, so no need to repeat values. ⸻ 👑 What to Expect / What Not to Expect Expect: • A clear flip soon • Stretch after commitment • More expressive structure than some of the others • Increased nutrient demand once flowering starts Do NOT expect: • Instant pistils just because she’s in 12/12 • Heavy defoliation yet • Aggressive feeding right now • Identical behavior to other cultivars Sour Diesel does things her way — and she’s doing them well. ⸻ 🌿 Final Notes She’s healthy. I am a little bit worried it’s going too slow (compared to reference grows from other diaries), but patience is hard and there’s still 3 to 4 weeks of flowering to be done. The breeder advises 7 to 8 weeks, which is a bit optimistic, but they also advise 9 weeks for optimal taste and a smoother effect. The girls still grew a bit vertically, so even 5 weeks into flower, they aren’t fully focused on the development of the buds. Maybe this week, some serious XL bud stacking will take place 😊. I had some problems this week with heat and humidity. For two days, temperatures were at 28 degrees with lights on; a bit too high, but nothing extreme. More problematic was RH: it oscillated a lot between 45 and 60% during lights on and peaked at 70% with lights off. There will be some dry weather the days ahead, so RH will probably stabilize around 50% the following days. Nevertheless, I increased the power of both fans and the exhaust to the max, so there’s more than enough airflow throughout the whole tent. I did some slight defoliation, but nothing extreme. I don’t want to stress them out in this phase and cause them to herm. Hence, I took away max. 2 leaves per plant per day and only when tucking away wasn’t possible. The run off EC is at 2.0-2.1, while 1.8 (close to 1.9) is going in. pH of the runoff is around 5.9, except Iris’ run off, that one is always at 5.5. Hopefully, I will see some classical XL buds building up this week and head on for a nice harvest. Thanks for reading, stay safe and happy growing!

Edit: I came home from work after making my weekly log entry yesterday and I could smell my grow from my driveway... so I asked for help. THANK YOU OOZLEFINCH FOR THE HELP.. THIS IS WHY WE ASK FOR HELP... I left a question on here stating that my new canister wasn't working and asked for generic advise. He left an answer that pointed out the fact that my exhaust fan might be set waaaay to high... and it was! It turns out there's a limit to the amount of air that filter fan 'scrub', and my exhaust fan goes way over that limit even on 6 or 7.. I turned it down to 3 and the smell got better immediately. ☮️ Still on auto pilot at this point... I'm really close to harvest.. and I'm not even on day 60 😲. I created videos this weeks, they capture the plants in ways that a still picture just won't. My entire house stinks.. my neighbors are looking at my funny, and my wife thinks a family of skunks is hiding in our walls... I've never had this problem.. I even got a brand new carbon air scrubber and its not helping 🤣 Process/ Environment changes since last week: - To help preserve the terpenes I've been trying to lower my temperature, which is hard without an AC unit I'm not plugging in an ac just to grow some plants. I'm at 24- 26 degrees C (75 - 82 F). - I've been lowering my humidity accordingly to keep VPD in a good range - I lowered my lights closer to my plants, turning them up would just add to the heat. - I'm defoliating as much large fan leaves off as possible - My watering pH is at around 6.7 to 6.8.. I will not be flushing these plants - I rotate my plants every day to make sure I'm getting light to hit every node it can This week I'm pulling out the digital scope and doing the first trichome checks for these babies. The cheese auto is going to get the chop by the end of next week.. I hope you like the video I added of it.. it's the easiest plant I've ever grown and she's going to be FIRE. The blackberry auto is giving off a gas/berry smell and is very sticky to the touch. A beautiful triploid... my first and I hope to get many more. The Forbidden Runtz smells just like a zkittles does, it's bang on. Very dense very sticky buds. I almost tossed her during the seedling stage too due to her mutation.
