It is a cross of Original Amsterdam Blueberry, OG Kush, and the indica strain Mazar from Afghanistan, and is best known for its super potent effects and sky-high THC levels.

The Black Devil's OG is trucking along without issue, while the Northern light is a tad on the droopy side at night and is likely expecting earlier night hours. I will likely adjust my light schedule to reduce the stress. The videos posted came out pretty well, considering they came out of a cell phone camera. 400x ends up being really blurry as the phone can't focus properly to compensate, but you can still see all the bacteria dancing around. Some nematodes and ciliates there too.

On to week 2. This is interesting to say The least. VS-1 has a strange mutation. These will be sex tested this week. I was delayed because the USPS lost my farmer freeman kits. They came in 10 days late😭😭

This strain took really well to LST and didn’t seem fazed by the training at all. She did become a really heavy drinker about two weeks or so into flower and she definitely seemed to want more nutes than usual. I believe I’ve got two more seeds so will be running this one again if the smoke is worth it.

Last week of flush. It was 9 weeks of flower and now it's the most antecipated time for me, HARVEST!! :D Will hang them now for 10-15 days at 50% RH and 23ºC

We've reached the end of this journey, the result was good, a very good strain to cultivate, a little sensitive at first, but then it reacted very well. The buds had a very good aroma, dense and resinous, now just wait for the drying and curing process to complete the cycle.. ✌️✌️✌️

Excited to start my second grow (even though I haven't finished the first grow). I need to apply what I've learned before I forget and screw these plants, too! Started another zskittles seed 3/1 and planted 3/2. I kind of lost the first seed in the soil while planting (don't ask). I still left Skittles # 1 just to see what happens ¯_(ツ)_/¯. 3/4 - The seed that I thought was lost deep in the soil actually popped up a little near the edge. I G E N T L Y relocated the root to the center and buried it a 1/4 in down. Very excited that I didn't blow this plant! So it looks like i'll be growing 3 plants this time around. Ambitious for a newb? Very much so.

At this stage, the goal isn’t to push growth, but to maintain airflow and prevent moisture buildup, which can lead to bud rot or other late-stage issues. By selectively removing what the plant no longer needs, we’re allowing more light to penetrate the canopy and helping the buds finish strong and clean. The fading is beautiful — a sign that the plants are naturally consuming their reserves as they approach the end of their cycle. ⸻ Aroma, Density & Structure Each branch tells a story of energy and balance. The colas are dense and resin-packed, sticky to the touch, with pistils slowly darkening and curling inward. The aroma has deepened, becoming more earthy and hazy, with a sweet undertone that hints at the potency within. These are true haze beauties — towering, expressive, and powerful. Every part of the plant speaks of the care, patience, and intention behind this grow. ⸻ Feeding & Environment We have now completely stopped nutrient feeding. This week’s watering is plain, clean water only, measured at: • EC: 0.3 • pH: 6.8 – 7.2 The goal is to gently flush out any remaining salts and allow the plants to finish on what remains in the super soil. This natural fade encourages better flavor and cleaner results after harvest. Environmental conditions remain steady despite the high outdoor temperatures. With careful management through TrolMaster and Spider Farmer controls, we’re keeping: • Temperature: around 28°C • Humidity: 60–65% • VPD: approximately 1.3 Everything stays balanced and stable to allow the final ripening stage to unfold smoothly. ⸻ Light Adjustments – Simulating the End of the Season To mimic the natural end of the season, we’ve begun gradually lowering the white light intensity, while pushing the red, far-red, and UV spectrums to 100%. This spectrum shift signals to the plants that the cycle is ending, stimulating final ripening, color development, and resin production. The reds encourage energy transfer in the deeper parts of the canopy, while UV light helps enhance secondary metabolite production — the oils, terpenes, and resins that give Roller Coaster Haze her unique flavor and strength. ⸻ Reflections & Recap From seed to this stage, this run has been all about precision, patience, and experimentation. The Roller Coaster Haze responded beautifully to the Aptus + Plagron blend, the controlled environment, and the small adjustments we made each week. The buds smell very tasty and look very good so I'm really excited. The trichomes are 70% milky and 30% amber. As always, it came to the darkroom 48 hours before harvest :-). There it will now remain after harvesting at 62% humidity for 8-12 days before it is put into the jars for fermentation with 62% boveda packs :-). As usual, the last update will come after the fermentation. These plants are liking there new home. Growth has been amazing. Everything seems to be going well. Except it's raining now. We will see how the rebuilt greenhouse holds up.
