Overall a fun and enjoying flower of the purple sunset. She transitions quickly and stretchs fast. Being an indica hybrid she doesn't get too tall, thus creating strong and sturdy branches to hold her fast dense frosty nugs. During the stretch she loves a good amount of grow notes. Week 2 to 4 she starts getting picky. Once she starts to fade, it is time to drop the grow nutes and go into full bloom early in week 4. This cultivar shows more phenotypical expressions depending on climate and flush. She shows huge purple hues in flush. Allowing her to go into week 9 to 11 can result in almost purple buds. She has a nice term profile in flower and once in the jars. Sweet candy grape 🍇 purple punch notes on the nose and on the pallette when exhaling on the smoke. When trimming this girl she was. Breeze to trim. She got a good 8 to 9 days to dry and was then sweat in the jars. When you smoke Ethos purple sunset the indica really hits you like a train. Taking her down at day 52 was a good choice. The high feels like any of the high once u smoke it. You don't start to notice the stoned effects until you're halfway through a big bowl with your partner. As you guys finish, you notice the body stone take in effect as well the heavy chest and trachea feeling which I LOVE. A sense of happiness and relaxation set in almost immediately. Very enjoyable indica high with great terps. I would give it a 10 but that maybe next run once grow her to week 10 flower. Overall Ethos purple sunset delivers. she develops very well. I can't wait to harvest it. the smell is very pleasant. No problems so far, or at least nothing visible. Next week, let's see how it performs, these buds are already beautiful and big, high expectations for it if the high humidity here doesn't get in the way!

Harvest today 24/12/2021 After 72 hour of darkens going to dry 7 to 10 days

1/21: I rotated the edge plants and foliar fed with big bloom a few times today. 1/22: I fed them about 3/4 gallon each after top-dressing their pots with a heaping tablespoon of happy frog cavern culture( bat and seabird guano). That will make some P and K available to them over the next 2 weeks as they begin to flower. Aside from that, I went with full strength veg nutes because I'm still seeing some yellowing and som cal-mag deficiencies. I also added some more liquid molasses. They're gonna need the energy as they start their stretch. I foliar fed a few times throughout the day with big bloom. 1/23: EXPLOSIVE GROWTH last night...love it...everybody is stretching...pretty sure the 14/10 photoperiod is working!! I foliar fed with big bloom a few times today. 1/24: These are the puniest plants so far, but they are starting to show me some lateral growth. 1/25: I watered each of them with a half-gallon including bembe, cal-mag, signal, armor si, and humic acid. 1/26: Flowering! 1/27: That's it for week 5-

So those dying branches are what root rot looks like :s She is still growing ok, I'm smoking the branches that die. I've added Great White for some bacteria as i read that can help with root rot, hopefully it slows it down so at least buds grow.

And there ready along with there big sister 67 days in flower to achieve the best smell I’ve ever smelt, these plants weren’t touched at all, not one leaf was removed throughout the entire grow, no nutrients, no PH the water, and I think it just shows for its self. same plan for drying and curing as the big one, will be back with a smoke review. Everyone is looking pretty healthy however the bud development looks closer to week 3/4 imo and I really don't like the node spacing on plant #1, I wish we had limited some of her stretch sooner. I don't see large intact colas in that plant's future, probably long bud spiraled branches but its not the end of the world lol...We gave a tomato cage to the freak mainline for some added stability (she's definitely going to need it). All buds are beginning to frost and look as if they'll be coated by the end!! Smell: plant already have a nice smell, very punchy, skunky, forest fruits Health: nice strong plants, will grow big and flower fast! Red Wine was created by crossing Rozay F2 with Jet A.
