Flower Series for the Purple Sunset has commenced. This is here first week starting and her stretch is on. Lifted up the restraints for now since she's so nimble. Ill use more stakes if she stretches to fast. The goal is to keep her within 18 inches for an utmost even canopy for the other ladies sharing the same room. Veg she was a quick girl. I believe my ph was off one watering. Makes sense when I wasn't phing my water until a week before flower. Overall great strain and let's see what kind of top shelf she can give. Never know. Could pop one and it could go to the keeper pile.
Week 2 consisted of more spreading and light defofation. Stripoed her yellow leaves at the base that wearnt getting any light. Increased nut regiment. Week 3 we will see frost
Week 3 has commenced this Sunday. She is now showing purple hues. Tops are getting SUPER big for week 3. Frost is finally starting. End of week 4 should be exciting! Looking to possibly reveg due to the ways she's been moving. Possibly some huge dense purple frost and rails like that of the putang.
yes you can re veg,
i have done it in the past and worked out great. you harvest almost all the buds but leave a branch on with some growth, put back in veg and give veg nutrients, change light cycle. re veg. it seemed to take about the same time as when you flip to flower you know that pause, like a week or two. then you see new growth, let it grow some and after you have enough healthy leaves pick off the older growth from the first flower, .

Week 4 for purple sunset. No tips burns and shes taking a shit ton. Shes sooooo hungry. I'll know this for the future to boost my intakes immediately after that 1st week of stretch.
Still eating on day 23. Thankfully it's just lowers with no light.
Eating eating. Trichomes are popping up now.
Lowers steadily dying granted half is from no light which is fine. Upped her nutes. Flush will be in 2 weeks watch. She's fucking fat!
Seeing some light purple in the leaves. Gave her some flower fuel today. Should slow her eating. Shes got a nice fade coming however from this decrease in Temps outside!
Week 5 for ETHOS
She's getting some nice fall colors due to her flower timing and the incoming outside cold
Makes the house around 62 haha with my ac on during the night. More purps coming out. Should see more colors after this week. She should be finished around day 56 or a week later.
I'm thinking day 63 for this girl now. Her pistils have JUST started turning somewhat orange. Shes going to be a beautiful one once faded.
Week 6.
Seeing her fade nicely. Expecting day 56 harvest vs day 63. Guess in 20 days we shall see eh?
Day 37 more purps. I'm expecting a full purple blackout by Saturday. She's doing amazing. Her tops are fat and rock solid. Frosty as he'll and spitting out terps like nobody's business.
Day 40. Purple and red fades. Going to be a dark black 🖤 with purple 💜. She got 1/8th grow and 1/4th on bloom. I'm thinking of cutting out the tiger bloom next grow. I like flower fuel better and its kind of redundant to add 2 boosters? Will be a vol. 2 of this but with veg and lots of Tops. She will triple in size before harvest watch. Only flushing after today. Next week, week 7.
Seeing massive amounts og bulking last day of week 6. She should be ready in a week or 2. I'd say 14 days from now.
Day 43. Final week of actual bloom. We will fed her today and will cut nutes off officially now. Shes fading very fast. Showing purple, reds, and nice stripes. Hopefully the buds take more of a purp at the end. Only time will tell. Can't wait to regrow this beautiful bitch. Waiting for day 56 to see if I'm calling her done or not. By Saturday I'll have a better idea. Massive bulking!
Day 44. I see she slowed down fading just a bit. Bulking so fast I can't believe it. Day 50 we should be really close to finishing. Buds are SO swollen. Amazing terp berry profile with spices! Branches are holding up great due to the training. Really want to pheno hunt this one. She's not my keeper but she's definitely some top shelf. 😁
I'd Friday is here and she's showing so many keeper signs. Guess I'll have to hunt her later 😅🤣😆
Last full week. Shes turning ripe fast. Maybe Thanksgiving day chop?!
Decided to chop at day 52. Buds are extremely dense. Wet Weight is 129 grams. I cut her about 3 to 5 days early but that's perfectly fine. I need bud and am going to make the next one explode. Shes ripe enough trust me. Probably another day and she would be no white pistils. Trichomes all cloudy slightly amber. Decision made easy. Hopefully we pull 3 oz at least. Next series is the full grow being mainline into 16 to 24 main colas in a 3 gallon. Think its possible? We will see!?
Chopped at day 52. Could have easily brought her to 60 for 💯 ripeness but 95 is plenty for me. Next one is taking off which will go a full 9 to 10 weeks maybe.
Very picky when it comes to ph. Can obtain defencies fairly easy but overall is a hardy strain that delivers under the most crazy circumstances.

Overall a fun and enjoying flower of the purple sunset. She transitions quickly and stretchs fast. Being an indica hybrid she doesn't get too tall, thus creating strong and sturdy branches to hold her fast dense frosty nugs. During the stretch she loves a good amount of grow notes. Week 2 to 4 she starts getting picky. Once she starts to fade, it is time to drop the grow nutes and go into full bloom early in week 4. This cultivar shows more phenotypical expressions depending on climate and flush. She shows huge purple hues in flush. Allowing her to go into week 9 to 11 can result in almost purple buds. She has a nice term profile in flower and once in the jars. Sweet candy grape 🍇 purple punch notes on the nose and on the pallette when exhaling on the smoke.
When trimming this girl she was. Breeze to trim. She got a good 8 to 9 days to dry and was then sweat in the jars. When you smoke Ethos purple sunset the indica really hits you like a train. Taking her down at day 52 was a good choice. The high feels like any of the high once u smoke it. You don't start to notice the stoned effects until you're halfway through a big bowl with your partner. As you guys finish, you notice the body stone take in effect as well the heavy chest and trachea feeling which I LOVE. A sense of happiness and relaxation set in almost immediately. Very enjoyable indica high with great terps. I would give it a 10 but that maybe next run once grow her to week 10 flower.
