Grow Diary - Week 1: Germination of Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrid Automatic Introduction: Greetings, Growmies! Salokin here, thrilled to share the exciting germination week of our newest addition, Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrid Automatic. A special shout-out to Patricia from the Zamnesia family for granting us the opportunity to be among the first to cultivate this fantastic strain. Our journey begins as we prepare these seedlings for their future home in the controlled environment of Tent X. Germination Process: On January 24th, the Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrid Automatic seeds were carefully placed in the EZ-Plug germination setup. After a brief 1 1/2 days in these nurturing plugs, the seeds sprouted, marking the commencement of their growth journey. The uniformity in their germination is impressive, showcasing synchronized and promising starts for each seedling. Growing Environment: While they're not yet in the Tent X environment, our Watermelon Candy seedlings are thriving in their current setup. We're preparing the optimal conditions for their transition into the controlled environment. Observations: The seedlings exhibit a thriving and lush green appearance, though slightly trailing their tent mates. This expected difference in early-stage growth is carefully monitored, and adjustments are made to ensure optimal conditions. Start of week 2, growing well. Repotting in 3 gallon fabric pot tomorrow Tuesday - transplanted today into a 3 gallon fabric pot. No problems.

Plant started growing faster and I did prune the 2 biggest leafs and started LST training.

FBTF was amazing. I tested topping with this plant, and while I do think that topping and root issues were the reason this plant did not grow so big. However, I did harvest dense colas that were all even in size and equally dense with loads of orange hairs everywhere, I am definitely growing again next grow.

What’s up boys and girls It was training week, pushed these girls to the limit. 6 of them got topped and bent over, they were not very happy with me. I hope it was worth it!! Significa que hicimos bien el lavado de raíces. Los tricomas siguen poniéndose blancos, estarán el 50% blancos 50% transparentes. Tic tac.

Day 69 (March 6th) Just gave everyone their last watering. I’m going to harvest and wash everything tomorrow night on day 70. I‘m not going to do that whole 48 hours of darkness thing because I didn’t see a difference last time I did it. In fact, it made my plant under watered before drying which caused it to dry too fast. Slurricane and cheese will be washed with h2o2 and the rest will just be rinsed off in warm RO water and hung up. Before and after washing I’m going to go over each branch with a flashlight and make sure there is no dog hair or debris in or on the buds. I will be drying in my spare bathroom (that no one uses!) from hangers. Aiming to keep it around 60-62F and 50-60 RH. Hoping for that 10-12 day dry. I wanted to do a full plant hang but the tent got pretty dirty and I would feel more comfortable just cutting and rinsing everything off branch by branch. I’m going to try my best to keep the full plant intact. Got my humidifier hooked up and running RO water because with tap water it deposits calcium and lime all over the buds and walls. For air flow I’m just indirectly running a small usb fan. I’m not worried about air flow in the bathroom honestly. It stays nice and breezy down there anyway. Got the food grade peroxide and RO water to wash up the slurricane and cheese. Everything except for the cheese and garlic#1 is looking more than done. Trichomes all look pretty well done. Some of them have even burst open. Smells are all super ripe and mature too. Can’t wait to smell each individually in jars. Next week I will recap what went wrong and what I will do differently next time to keep it from happening again. (Day 70F) Just got everything chopped, washed and hanging. The vast majority of the PM was washed out but I can still see very small amounts. When they dry out I can shake the branches a bit to get the rest off. At very least it’s sterile now. There is no question I lost some potency while washing but the amount is negligible for a much cleaner product. I could see lots of dirt and other debris float to the surface of the water after being washed. And no those are not trichomes, those sink to the bottom. I could put that nasty water through a bubble bag and wouldn’t get all that much. Although it probably does remove a lot of the actual trichomes heads. I’ll have to check with the microscope. Everything is rigged up for a nice slow dry. Temp is sitting at 64 and RH is at a nice 60%.

Hemos germinado la genética con éxito. Una va un poco más rezagada pero saldrá. El seguimiento de la planta se hará con abonos canna, cambiaremos la formulación con respecto al anterior cultivo. En pocos días empiezo a abonar con crecimiento.

Oh man am i excited to share my journey with my Purple Lemonade ff baby from Fast Buds. This girl is growing like a champ, and I'm just amazed by her progress in the first week! I'm a few days late on updating this diary as well as feeding my girls (well, just a couple days late on feeding) and the weather is not helping! It's 48F and drizzling out, which is prime conditions for mold production😒 but there's not much I can do about it at the moment. So I did include a video this week to give a better look at the girls (And please ignore me saying Amy aka CBD Gorilla is a late September finisher.. It's actually mid-October, I can't keep anything straight) Jojo is still the runt of the litter, Amy is catching up to her big sisters and Bubba and Ice Cool are still the stars of the show. Nice colas plumping up and soon to be ready👏 I'm excited!
