Transplanted today added another blue CFL 250w +:125w temps gone up nicely.... Looks like it was needed! After a week I will switch to the gavita dual end once these are settled haven't got tent up they seem to be fine so far but they are touching each other

Merry Christmas growers!!! Been a very good week, had plenty of time with the ladies. Nothing major to report other than these two LED's aren't enough for this size tent I don't think. Will definitely be upgrading for the next grow! Thursday - fed roughly 1.5L with nutrients. Friday - did nothing. Saturday - fed roughly 1.5L with nutrients. Sunday - did nothing. Monday - fed roughly 1.5L with nutrients. Tuesday - did nothing.

These pics were taken on day of chop 1/8/24. Didn't get any pics of them hanging, will get pics of the trimming process in about a week when she's done drying. I typically dry for around 8-10days with 14 being ultimate goal but I'm fine with 10. Will update in a week or so with the smoke report and final conclusion!

Plant #2 had a curving stem issue so I've added a small bamboo stake to straighten her out. After 3 days it seems to be working. Also, I brought the light down to 24” now that the seedlings are well established and used to the spectrum. Speaking of stems … the Fastbuds description mentioned weakness in the first few weeks and the need for support. I've had 2 6” fans creating “windy” conditions since the seeds were planted and I've added some silica to the nutrients to strengthen the plant structure. So far it seems to be working because all of the plants (even the one with "scoliosis") seems to have good support and thickness in the stems. The plants have doubled in size this week and now range from 4” - 7”.

This girl is phat. Real thick stalk and massive leaves. I topped her twice, which I had reservations in doing given her weak start. She bounced back incredibly so she also got some LST to open up the canopy. It's flower time for this lady and I'm excited to see her stretch and fatten up!

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend. Good week for the Red Hot Cookie, she is probably the smallest of the 5 strains, but she looks green and healthy, Day 3 from getting wet. I did start prepping the Coco Coir today by flushing down to .4 EC and then soaking in water with an EC of 2.0 with Cal Mag and a PH of 6.8. I will let it soak until the seedlings are ready to be transplanted hopefully by next weekend or shortly thereafter. The weather in my region is perfect for cultivating seedlings as it is fairly hot and humid and I only have the Spectrum X running at 30% so it is not putting out much heat and I also have a humidifier running in the tent on low which is maintaining a RH of around 68%. I also have the AC Infinity fan kick on here and there just to keep some fresh air in the tent but no real issues with heat. I have run several Sweet Seeds Auto Strains in the past with excellent resutls, but this is my first run of one of their photoperiods so I am excited to see what she can do. I plan to build a mainline and flip as soon as all 5 mainlines are built, hopefully around week 7. This Medic Grow light is perfect for a 5X5, and the AC Infinity 8" exhaust does an excellent job of keeping the tent cool. I will set up an auto feeding system which consists of a reservoir, and some 1/2" tubing that is hooked to a submersible pump in the reservoir and set to feed for 1 minute every 6 hours through halo feeders connected to ball valves to adjust the flow. The runoff then flows via gravity to a 5 gallon bucket in the tent with a shallow pan condensate pump that pumps the runoff out of the tent when it gets above 3 inches to another reservoir. I have been growing fruit and vegetables for over 40 years and I have recently switched to high frequency fertigation in Coco Coir for my tomatoes as well, as I believe this growth medium combined with this technique is the safest, most environment friendly, and foolproof method of getting monster yields no matter what crop you are growing, and I have seen massive results in both cannabis and tomatoes. My goal is to have these ladies transplanted by around day 14-17, and have the first toppings done within 48 hours or so of transplant. I hope everyone has a safe and peaceful weekend. Hello everyone, week # 8 starts today. The last week where I still use my fertilizer. Trichomes are not yet clearly visible, think that will change this week .... we hope the best !!! At the moment, I do practically nothing, except to separate a leaf when it makes shadows. The scent is still planty and woody but with a fruity note. So far I am very proud of my bush. Here I had the best success with my training. I think the flowers have grown more evenly than the other two plants. Now patience is required and wait for the moment for the flush ... Really hot. Using more water. About 2 gallons a day each pot. Watering daily. Summer peak hits in the next month, then comes the wind down to the season...from September to Croptober. I don't see as much stretching as I see buds coming in right now, which is really exciting. Wind: I usually experience strong winds for the end of August and start of September. This means that I am taking the canopy down and letting the sun hit the plants with all its force for the remainder of the season. More water means fatter nugs. Nutrients: Day 105 - 21 August 2024 - Added 1 cup Bud Candy and 1/2 cup Overdrive from AN, then added 2 gallons of water in a large watering can. I let that sit for 2-3 hours, then I add it equally to the four pots. I'm alternating this and kelp meal biweekly from Down to Earth (every 2 weeks). This recipe is gentle and it works for me. Thank you to all following the grow. Straight up... each plant looks a little different - my guess it's because of all the crosses behind the genetics. Basically looks a little Malawi, a little tropicanny, a little cookie, and sour orangey for sure. I don't care for a stable line where all the plants look homogenous (basically the same, I may have messed up the description) - I just want something that will have a good end product and these plants all look fine to me. Now I just have to be vigilant so that the caterpillars don't destroy all the flowers. It's a bit nerve wrecking, but I'm committed to not using pesticides or insecticides - organic or not. I'm also considering washing the herb at harvest--that's got me a little nervous also because it gets really humid around harvest time, but all the testimonials and videos I've researched all seem to agree that it does not affect the end quality in terms of effect since THC is basically water resistant, not water soluble or something--i'm thinking water hash in my head to comprehend the science a little better. That's it. Just a few more weeks to go. About 8.
