November 6, 2021 The Quick Critical is taking off!!! I started feeding some nutrients this week and she really seemed to like it. I could flip her to flower now, but I'm going to wait another 1-2 weeks so the other two ladies can veg longer (and to give the autos a chance to finish). Critical Sour looks like she is ready to start rocking, I expect to see significant growth this upcoming week. CBD Medi Kush is finally starting to look like a cannabis plant! I have no idea what caused the delayed growth in the initial couple of weeks, but she's seems on track now. Lots of good growth in the past couple of days. This morning when looking at her closely I noticed she is growing two stems. This is going to be fun to watch how she develops. I just hope she doesn't herm out later. Neither of the two Dr Bruce Banner seeds nor the one CBD Lemon Aid seed I tried planting ever popped. This is now a 3 plant diary.

Temperatures have gone up tremendously since it seems summer weather has finally got here. Over all they seem to be handling it, OK. Showing some heat stress but I think it's just an adjustment period. I'll most likely do a defoliation this week thinning it out to allow more air flow. All in all Happy Growing

Day 30 Flower and It looks like my humidity problem is coming to an end 😅 the second unit outside the tent is finally showing some results, I’ve also change my air circulation , i fixed al off them in a way that it creates a wind vortex, i think this is helping with the humidity also. Increased their food by a tad. Looked perfectly health raised to about 1900ppm. Again spider mites at it crawling up every leaf and creating a colony. I thought it was over until I sat there nearly every night finding the f*****s and rubbing the leaves with the spray. Defoliation was needed ASAP due to them stretching nicely. Started slowly from the bottom up. (repeated this process every 3-5 days.)

Namaste This week was awesome. Finally dried and jarred the harvest from the two smaller girls. 23 grams in total. Nothing to brag about but it is all mine. And booooy she’s kicking. Very pleasant smoke and 2-3 hours of intense high. Cooking last night was adventurous haha! The remaining lady has swollen big time, the buds are heavy and dense despite of some foxtail. I give it around a week to be ready. Have a happy grow!

Aug 3: still going strong starting the third week of flowering. I’m putting her in the garage at 9 pm, doing the 730 nm far red light to put plant into dark mode 2 h faster, and then out of garage at 7 am. So 10+ 2 h is 12 h dark and 14 h daylight or a 26 h day. The far red light definitely works as a bloom booster and helps the plants finish faster when the sun is stronger. Did morning foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate. Aug 4: always some defoliation to be done and I took out all the small stuff that was growing into the centre. If I had a longer season I could have left some of these small branches but I want the energy directed toward the prime bud sites. Also removing leaves makes it more stable in the wind. Yet another growing trade-off. Aug 5: she looks great coming out of the dark garage this morning. Lots of colas with lots of buds 👍👍 Aug 6: added UV lights from AC Infinity. This far north we run out of strong sunlight before it gets too cold in the fall. By adding UV lights, this will make Edmonton in September seem like California in July. Along with genetics, UV light is the main factor controlling trichome and THC production. Adding UV light for a couple of hours per day centred at peak sun (currently 1:39 pm) should help a lot this far north. At the other end of the light spectrum, I use Forever Green Indoor (FGI) 730 nm far red light. This is the third season using the far red light as a bloom booster and it definitely works. A few seconds at dusk is all it takes to put the plant into dark mode two hours faster, and is like getting a 26 h day. Bud ripen earlier and therefore under stronger sun. Both of these lights are low power LED used for a few hours (UV) or just a few seconds (far red). Gotta love science and technology when it allows us to figure this kind of out.

Casey's Rollex OG is making good progress. I topped her today, and pruned the root tips. I also removed the first node branches. I left the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th nodes for main branches. She has some big leaves for such a small plant still. Everything is going good.
