OVERALL: ~ Very happy with the grow, I really dialled everything in well this run. ~ She grew super fast, I put it down to the constant oxygenation of the rootzone along with consistent and constantly optimized light DLI and leaf to air temp variance. The extra Co2 helped push the plant to its limit in terms of heat, allowing it to push its hardest. ~ The lack of HST and Defoliation I feel let it finish faster due to lack of stress and stunting. The faster finishing time along with the big yield and efficient MarsHydro light, it hugely reduced my electricity costs per gram and freed up space much sooner for the next plant. ~ Turned into a very dense bush of buds, there is even smokable dense buds at the base of the plant due to the under canopy lighting (Not as dense as top canopy buds but still decent) ~ Ran a thin line between stressing the plant and letting it flourish. The buds came out big and very dense, also it's hard to see on camera but they're very frosty too (Prob from UVB) YIELD: ~ 145g (dry) in just 9 weeks from seed. ~ 753g (Wet) ~ 0.91g/watt GENETICS: ~ MSNL - Gorilla Glue Auto ~ my favorite strain, as you can tell by my username! STRAIN REVIEW: ~ Heavy hitter, like an indica but has some of that "feel it in your face" sensation of a strong sativa. Not as heavy or as strong as other GG#4's I have smoked, which would make me question the genetics used to produce the auto version. I will wait till after a cure and judge it again. TRAINING: ~ No defoliation or HST (Bar last week for pics) ~ A little LST and leaf tucking but largely just left the plant alone to do its thing. I felt chopping healthy parts off the plant would slow the plant down and leave it with less chlorophyll to photosynthesize the light. ~ I did prune by lightly plucking dead leaves away, when the plant was ready to let them go easily. DRYING ~ 20/21'C 50% RH with air circulation. ~ Homemade Drybox made using: 2 x Bankers Boxes ~ 2 x USB Desk Fans ~ 1 x Carbon Filter ~ 6 x Clothes Hangers UPDATE: Day 5 after Harvest: ~ Fast dried some small batches, as we couldn't wait to sample. ~ Chopped off branches as some are down to 12% moisture whilst bigger buds are up at 18%. Moving to paper bag for couple of days to even moisture out then transferring to jars CURING: ~Curing in jars 3/4 full. ~ Dark closet/18'C/50% RH ~ Jars burped once Hygro passes 65% and sealed when it drops to 58%. ~ Stabilised it at 62% and after 2 weeks I'll drop it some more and stabilise it at 58% to bring out more of the flavour. ~Sitting in jars with Boveda 62% at this stage. ~ Already tastes and feels great. On hand for heavier use (Once every 3 days before lights out for 15 days) in the case of an outbreak (No outbreaks yet, due to aforementioned preventative measures)

I’ve been dealing with an undiagnosed issue presenting with discoloured leaves. The buds however do not seem bothered as they develop happily or at least they appear to. On day 77 of WW I noticed cloudy trichomes! This is strange however as they are only in week 6 of flower. Not sure how long the cloudy to amber transition is but crop king notes an 8 week flower while growers report 8-10 weeks.

Smell is unreal, sweet candy shop sorta scente, buds are extremely hard so far like steel 🤞.... the tall scruffy thing in baxk, hasn't had the optimum PAR as you can see also, it was the only one in the gold label special mix (pre fertilised) media...

Woche 7: Die zweite Woche der Blütephase ging es der Blattmasse erstmal an den Kragen damit die Blüten auch etwas an Licht abbekommen 😅 Anfangs dachte ich, dass ich vielleicht etwas viel weggeneommen habe. Aber im Nachhinein hätte ich den unteren Bereich der Pflanzen deutlich radikaler Entlauben können. Ich war etwas zaghaft 😅 Ansonsten habe ich weiterhin versucht die große Skywalker zumindest etwas unter Kontrolle zu bringen.. Aber da sie fast doppelt so groß wie ihre Schwestern ist, bin ich schon in Planung einer zweiten Growbox. In dieser kann sie sich wenn es soweit ist ganz alleine austoben.. doch etwas muss sie sich noch gedulden.

The calyxes are blowing up on the pheno 1, great purple shades on the leafs and sugar leafs. The trichomes on the leafs showing a few amber heads, important to check the trichomes on the bud. In mine case mostly cloudy at the moment. Pheno 2 is creating more trichomes. It seen that the buds are getting more frostier and giving them the last boost by foxtailing a bit. Not because of the heat or the light, but getting to the end of their life.

RSV11 has gotten very big with her vigorous growth. She is in the middle of bulking and has forned a nice layer of resinous frost at her colas. I can't smell at the moment, but I am sure that is progress as well. She was kinda hungry at one point which caused her to get a little more pale then I prefer. Beside that everything is looking great. More calm this week, not a lot of people mention on here that the work load reduces a couple weeks after the big stretch. Not had to do too much except a little bending as she’s still getting a bit too close to the lights again. Most of the fan leaves are off now, that I can reach that is. No more reservoir changes now until it gets the chop, as my nutrients stay fairly consistent for the next 3-5 weeks. At around 950 TDS @ 0.5 or 1900 PPM. Still no nutrient deficiencies, the longest stretch I have gone without at least some spots or marks on leaves. Would be interested to know what you guys think she might yield now she’s just about into her 5th week of flower?

There is so much to discuss ! I have been extremely busy as of late trying to get this Harvest together, but i am happy to have it here for you now ! I Seriously under estimated the amount of time, help from others, and my own necessary skills to pull this off.. and i still kind of screwed it up lol ! But its worth noting i have never actually done this before and trying to document it during....was extremely hard. It is next to impossible to work an iPhone with rubber gloves on ! First I want to discuss everything step by step so before you jump straight into the comments on how the end product is so small in "quantity" Rest assured i am happy with its"quality"...and thats all that matters to me because Life is a journey not a destination! and i have learned so much from this grow that I couldn't be any happy even if i messed some things up :) But at the very least I hope you read through this entry in its entirety with an open mind and focus more on the process, rather than just the outcome! I ran out of Ice & i was only able to wash three times..(normally I've heard you should go sometimes 5-6 washes) Preparation is Key & things will be much better next round :) Photos 1-22 These are pretty self explanatory but for those of you just tuning in now.. this is what happens to a very happy plant when you don't have the necessary tools to monitor key components of growing cannabis.. Ph, as well as EC levels play a very key role in the outcome of your grow lol that being said I was just able to save this plant by purchasing both tools but that doesn't mean the plant didn't suffer because of the prior events.. This was a Huge reason behind me choosing to turn this harvest into what i would consider "Solventless Hash Rosin" from "Ice water extracted Bubble hash". Pictures 23 The idea here is the process of using "fresh Frozen Cannabis" this has been discussed many a time online on such sites as instagram and here on grow diaries as well.. I personally have Never tried the process so i decided to try it out and make a judgement for myself.. Video 24 The Cannabis has now been in the freezer for 72 hours making it very well frozen.. as you can tell i struggled getting it all into the 25u Screen Wash Bag. One thing of note i would do differently is i will de-stem my next batch as i also believe this played a part in the amount of plant matter that escaped through the sieves. Photo/Video's 25-28 The idea here is "ice water Seiving" & especially with the bags that I am using here that are only have screen material on the bottom portion of the bag it is very important to have spaces in-between the screens to allow the water to pass directly through the screens into the bottom bucket with the least amount of resistance.. because the hash is so extremely temperature dependant if it gets warm on the side of the bag.. it will stick there and not make it to the bottom to become use able product.. 29 You do not need to use as much Ice as i used here lol... the idea is to keep everything very cold..i certainly achieved that but at the sacrifice of using so much that i ended up grinding product and producing "contaminants" but in the end they are just plant matter that i would be smoking when i rolled up my joint either way so.. I'm not super disappointed.. But it should be noted that what you want to achieve here is a Layering effect where you have the wash bag between two small layers of ice while the "water current" washes the Trichomes away allowing them to be separated by the screens setup below :) Before Starting the machine you should allow some time (i.e.;10-12minutes pre soak to allow the product to become saturated) before the first cycle. By video 32 I have just ran out of ice lol.. Video 33-34 Here I have a tip for you.. to separate the screens that you sieve through.. cut 5 gallon buckets to stretch them across nice and tight.. it'll make scooping your Bubble that much easier ! i learned this from the many "Frenchy" videos I have watched :) Picture 35 Here in lays the problem for most people.. drying your hash without loosing vast amounts of "Terpenes" whilst also stay ever vigilant against mold ! Thanks to all those videos I've watched on youtube.. id like to think this was one of my most successful parts of this process.. Things to Note; Terpenes start to seriously evaporate at temperatures 68F or 20C you need to stay as cold as possible whilst bringing the Relative Humidity in the space down into the 40-30% to stay away from that nasty mold ! I used my cold storage room in the basement.. with a dehumidifier running to keep the space at 45% RH & staying at a constant 15c. All while spreading the hash as thin as possible across parchment paper, on top of the white screens with a fan moving air across both sides of the paper. Pictures 36-38 These are some macros i took in the middle of my drying session I fell in love with the colour. Yes i know the black spots are plant material but they will get caught when i bag the hash & squish the oil out. Thing to Note; at this stage it is important to ensure you 'micro plane" the hash down as fine as you can whilst staying weary of the temperature... any "chunks" will hold pockets of moisture.. that lead to potential problems..ie; mold ... Picture/Video 39-41 Successfully planed bubble hash ready to be bagged and Squished ! Picture 42 Ive decided to follow Pedro.. from Pedros Grow Room and double bag to be on the safe side so i don't have any blow outs. So thats One 25u bag inside one 160u bag ! :) Pictures 43 This is almost 3 grams of the bubble hash from above, already melting in the bag.. this is where i ran into trouble again lol things started getting to warm in the house and i was only able to get one of the three squish's i did on video :( things started getting sticky. Picture 44 This is basically just a photo of the equipment I'm using; 3x5 LowTemp Cage in the frame I built myself, with a 20Ton bottle jack. Something to note here is this is an older Lowtemp model with only a single heating zone which is which i have it closed here heating Both sides of the press :) As well as the importance of having adequate pressure on your plates.. my rig is very overkill for the size of hash bags..lol Video 45 Here is the lovely press video.. its didn't quite work the way i wanted either lol my directional folding wasn't quite tight enough for a big "drip" :) &the Press was set to 65°c Photo's 46-50 are pretty self explanatory :) I had a blow out.. but still managed to pull an 80% return from the hash once squished...& yes it tasted amazing :) Was it worth it in the end... that could be debated.. for some..i understand..its not your thing, but for those of us that are interested in making our own concentrates.. free from Solvents... I wouldn't make it any other way :) If even ONE of you reading this diary finds it helpful to reference for ANYTHING.....even if its "what not to do" ill consider it a success ! A bit of nute burn od on feeding dem girls getting loud

10/29 Week 9 and she is doing great Continue to keep an eye on the trics not there at all yet Increased her light by moving a plant to another tent and focusing the the 3 LEDs on her. Time to change the nuets she is entering the home stretch. Dropping koolbloom increasing Peak and fish shit/recharge leaving bloom nuets as is just for now. The plan is currently to shift nuets to organic-ish and then just go on water only through finish, couple of days. Will continue to runoff twice a day so all salts continue to be removed. The idea is to allow her to finish clean without starving her, see how it goes. 10/30 Biology should be established, dropping recharge reducing fish shit she is ready to shift. Adding Organic Bloom nuets, strong dose initially (15 ml/gal) then 5ml/g from there. Cocotek reduced today gone tomorrow. See what happens shall we? 10/31 Nuets switched A single feed of heavy nuets and bugs then listed feeds twice a day to runoff as a flush - this is to see if any advantage, watching buds closely, still building, trics not ready still far too many clear of course. She may be a little slow but she needs to finish next week space is at a premium so hoping she finishes faster this way for one thing. Enough stress in the change so should get similar responses from the plant. PH to 6.2 Going to end the Si, no further need of it 11/1 Bud growth really popped over night, noticeable which is great considering the late stage of flower. Continuing on with this feed for today, see how it goes. Update: Looks good going to just water 1 gallon twice a day 10-20% runoff Looked at trics close about 90% white some clear a few amber, very sativa ready large improvement in just a couple days. 👉Day43- buds getting fatter and fatter every day :) i can just watch nothing to do rly..:) 👉Day44-Did little deformation and changed 22h>21h lighting since i saw info abt this strain 20h is best they say..... Week or 2 and will change from 21h>20h sleping time so they can rest little bit loonger🤣🤣👍 👉Day45- spoted calcium deficiecy onley on the biggest plant od 3..or 4 leafes.... 😣😪 overall all is well :) 👉Day46-flowers start to smell rly rly nice!!! U can alredy smell that orange/citrus/sweet strong smell when u smell it closely💚🤗🤗🤗💚 👉Day47-2flowers had sings of heat strees(expected that!) so i change height of lap for 10cm,reorganize positions of flowers,so the lower buds are in the middle..... and change fann position, they also kinda stopped rising in to the high white&blue sky!!
