NOV 17 (DAY 52): Oooohhhh... I let the plants go too long without watering them. Plant 3 looked so limp and pathetic, I was afraid to touch it. I have got to start setting a reminder to pick the pots up every day to be sure. NOV 18 (DAY 53): Everyone is looking much better now that they have been thoroughly watered. They need to be fed next time I water. NOV 20 (DAY 55): The fan leaves on my comparison plant, which up to now had been light years ahead of the others, are now rapidly yellowing and turning brittle. And Plant 3 is also starting to look lighter yellow green... time for food. I mixed everything as per FF’s feeding schedule (minus the dry ingredients and plus a few other things), adjusted the solution’s pH, and then diluted it to 1500ppm. I’m a little uncertain about what to expect from my comparison plant... so I’m feeding it at least one more time.

She's looking very healthy and strong strong, now we're getting a beautiful bushy shape with a few bud sides as you guys can see, I'm about to flip my lady to flower very soon. Let's see what happens!

All 10 plants that were to be ready for the Christmas season are completing their flowering phase. By now they are together with the laggards of the previous cycle and therefore they will be collected a little at a time between Christmas and next year. I will post more detailed photos for each harvest 😉 In this diary I posted all the photos of the past week including images of the two plants already collected.

We’ve hit week five of flowering, and things are getting really exciting! 🌸 The plant is now covered in trichomes, and many of them are already turning a milky color—such a great sign that things are progressing perfectly. The buds are starting to look really frosty. ❄️✨ I’ve been following the BioBizz week 6 feeding schedule, as it’s almost time to flush the plant—just 2-3 more weeks to go! 💧 I’m getting more excited each day as we move closer to harvest. Can’t wait to see how everything finishes up! 😁🌱

Probably going to need some water agin here soon. I haven’t fed them yet. My other tray is starting to catch up. I am still not using any artificial light. I will start using something to keep them in veg longer but other than that they will be full term.

Esta semana seleccionamos las plantas más adelantadas de nuestro cultivo, para colocarlas bajo la nueva luminaria Led LazerLite Pro 720 de The Pure Factory, con la potencia ajustada al 50%. Miramos de que las cuatro variedades estén representadas bajo el led y bajo las lamparas HID, de esta forma podremos ver las diferencias entre los dos sistemas. Seguimos con nuestra rutina de fertilización para la fase vegetativa Grow Soldier + Green Mystic by JUJU Royal y CALMAG de BioBizz. Al final de la semana, cambiamos el ciclo lumínico para pasar a 12/12 Floración.

Leider war es die ganze Woche durchgehend regnerisch. Mittlerweile haben sich bei allen Pflanzen Schimmel Ansätze gebildet. Ich denke das ich ernten werde, um noch mehr zu vermeiden. Zwei von den drei Phenos sehen auch schon recht lecker aus und große feste Buds haben sie auch gebildet. Schade, ich hätte sie gerne länger stehen gelassen.

I also gave her pot a 1/4 turn. 9/29- Yesterday I didn't water her, only turned her pot and checked her over... Wow! She's really ramping up the trichomes making her flowers look like their sugar coated! 🤩 I watered her today with 1.5g of de-chlorinated water with 1 tsp/g of unsulfured molasses added which was then ph'd to 6.4 @ 72℉, The molasses will give the microbial colony some additional food as well as supplying micro-nutrients to the plant. I finished out the daily maintenance giving her a check over and turning her pot 1/4 turn to ensure she gets light to every inch of her. 10/1- Yesterday was a 'no water' day as her pot was still fairly heavy to lift. Today she was watered with her usual of 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was ph'd to 6.2 @ 72℉. Her flowering continues to impress me with her trichome production covering her flowers with 'frost' she's a sight for sore eye's! 😍 The end of next week will be the beginning of her wrapping up with the 'Finish Line' approaching by Week 9 or 10! 10/3- With Week Seven coming to a close we're going into the last 2-3 weeks for this lady and she's right on track, looking like a Rock Star! 🤩 I watered heavy yesterday and added 1 tsp/g of Unsulfured Molasses to the 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was then ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉. Her pot had some weight to it when I checked today so I'll skip watering her until tomorrow. I finished up today by checking her over and giving her pot a turn. ~Thanks for stopping in! Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil.
