The plants had been a little root-bound before transplanting them into the bigger pots, this showed in a yellowing of the leaves and a slowed growth. During week 5, now in the bigger pots, the plants are recovering quickly. The start to grow in a nice healthy green color and quickly get bigger in size. Since the light-mix has nutrients in it for appr. 2 weeks, I only add a little BIO NOVA Roots and BN-Zym to my 'FLEXITANK' reservoir. After adding the nutrients I measure the ph-value and see its 6,6. That is too high for cannabis-plant on soil, they cannot take up all nutrients at that ph-level. Therefore I use ph-min from BIO NOVA to decrease the value of the 100 liter nutrient solution in my reservoir to ph=6,0. At this ph-level the plants can take up all nutrients they need for a healthy growth. My two SANlight EVO4-120 LED-fixtures are hanging 75 cm above the plants and are tilted inwards by 11 degrees, following the recommendations of the lights manufacturer. The fixtures are dimmed to 60% of power (=1 green light ON on the dimmer) at this stage, so they plants get a nice stretch and grow into bigger plants fast.

The plant it's ready for harvest it had reach it's Highest THC point but I will wait a little bit more to allow the other plants in my garden to catch up it looks really nice smell very pleasant. Well be harvesting very soon but depends on how the Amber trichomes goes in my other plant but it seems to be no more than 4 days but definitely don't want to rush it. I will continue to update have a happy grow

Not an overly impressive strain and I would say she was not that hard to grow. If I even grew this one again I would let it go naturally with some LST. Wanted more grape flavours but they don't really come through in the smoke. There's a bit of a sharp fruity smell that's sort of piney with a hint of fuel at the end. The smoke is not too flavourful in my opinion but that just means I didn't grow it well. Super tight nugs so be careful with humidity as stated above. Also she's a bit of a light feeder so be careful with your nutes. As you can see I burnt her tips and over fed her a lot. Not a bad yield though! I've only really smoked the lowers on this one so far so that gave me a bit of a racey high, just slightly racey. I would accredit that to the lowers not being mature enough at chop. The plant is super dense and since I mainlined it the lowers didn't receive enough light. I tried to let the lowers mature more but the plant stopped maturing when I chopped the tops, this caused stress and the plant just shut down basically. Not sure if I would grow Blimburn's GDP again until I grow the real GDP.

Just added water this week to what was left in each reservoir; which dropped EC to the 1 range. Dropped lights down to 10 hours to lower DLI. Ended up chopping the Brain Freeze plant that had dried out somewhat from the line getting plug last week. 1/27 L - 5.56 1.0 R - 5.54 1.1 2/1 L - 5.67 0.62 R - 5.82 0.64

I mean this genetics it's excellent ... if I would grow zombie kush again ... good job ripper seed ... she fought and was very strong against the plagues after a beginning outdoors ... she fought against the white fly. worms .. red spider and other insects ... and deserves your recognition ... it will not be the most beautiful plant with its leaves impeccable ... but she is a champion ... thank you ripper seed .. .

This was a fun project that was a few years in the making and a year later to see if they would last a season for this upload to happen. Before any of this I would bike aorund town grabbing up all the old Ikea solid pine bed slats that I could find and storing them in the basement. I have a lot of wood down there, any size worked as long as I have enough of them. The hot days to find them were the first and last of the months because that's when people where moving in/out. I also kept an eye on the free section on local online classifieds as well. The entire purpose of this was to recycle as much off the streets as I could before buying anything to finalize the project. In the end I only bought sealer, screws and some takeaway/beers. All the wood was 100% free and salvaged off the streets of Toronto saving it from the dumpster bin. After collecting all the slats for about 2 years I was playing aorund with them on how I wanted to make this work. I had previously done a little project like this before but I messed it up and the boxes where crap. did not last longer then 2 seasons, they where thin and shallow as well could not grow much of anything in them. I Was talking to my friend who is renovating their house and we brainstormed some ideas on the boxes, I found some designs I liked online and said lets make something like this out of what I have here. We tossed out a few of the design features when looking at them as it would have been wasted wood and extra work not needed. If I had more wood them maybe it could have been an option but simple was the name of the game. They taught me what I needed to know like how the miter saw and sander worked, plus all the other tools I was using. They did help out with a table saw and creating the triangle support joints in the corners, They used some pine left overs they had while making a staircase indoors. I did not feel up to the task of using a table saw given all the relatives I know who have lost a finger to them. In the end we decided the design would be three boards high and take an alternating pattern on corners. layer one short, layer 2 long, layer 3 short. Went with a galvanized and painted deck screw so it can take the weathering. Ran into some problems like making everything level as some of the boards were warped and other ones had undesired aspects like knots and tacky sticker goo I could not remove. So I used them for the base that will not been seen so much. Clamped everything down and called it a day. Once it was all done and over with, I then brought them back home from my buddies work garage and started to seal them. I went with a boiled linseed oil as its a food safe option should the wood degrade into the soil I will plant in them. I will need to reapply it to the boxes year after year but the main coat is the most important one and I put it on 3 layers with a good dry in between coats. the inside of the boxes that where coated did not degrade at all as the sun did not hit them so it will not need a new coat just the outside. Overall the end result was very impressive for myself, I've never taken a woodworking class ever and It was a near perfect outcome for me. Heavy Duty Planter Boxes for all my gardening needs. I made a last min decision to add in a plastic liner to preserve the wood even longer and stapled that into the frame. it has held up quite well and may need replacing end of 2nd or 3rd year out in the sun. The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures are in the mid 50's℉, which shouldn't be long. After which, she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes from BioTabs and slow release dry amendments from Gaia Green. Once she's established herself outside she'll be given periodic top dressings of Gaia Green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 along with worm castings and Compost Tea's. Her grow area is approx. 5'x5' and I have posts and a trellis net set up already for when she gets bigger to aid in training her. She's going to be a beautiful plant! 8/13- Our weather has cooled off after last weeks tropical system passed and it's nice to have a much needed break from the heat and humidity! I am continuing to water daily with 5-8 gallons of well water from the garden hose. I also went ahead and removed two small branches that were at the very bottom of the Papaya Sherbet that would only take away nutrients from more beneficial areas of the plant. 8/15- Today, I top dressed the Papaya Sherbet with 3 cups of Gaia Green 2-8-4 Power Bloom which I watered in with well water from the hose. I then applied 1/2 gallon of a nutrient mix I made up in 2 1/2g of well water consisting of: 1/4 cup Neptune's Harvest Seaweed(kelp) plant food and 2 1/2 tsp. of Plantonics Amino Bliss. 8/17- There goes the first full week of flower for this incredibly stunning Papaya Sherbet photoperiod from FastBuds and I can not wait to see her transformation as this lady progresses through flowering!
