Here we are almost at the end of this incredible journey, the tenth week of flowering is over, the growth and progress of my plant shows no signs of slowing down. Every day brings new surprises and advancements that continue to amaze me. End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety. The girls are looking very good. Starting to put on some weight now that the stretch has finally finished. The ladies are very tall but they look like they will yield well. Buds are developing quickly and are starting to look frosty as well. Have been using the Plagron Green Sensation to help bud development in the later stages of flower. Will be happy to see how these ladies turn out. They are starting to smell a bit stronger every week. Since I am using the Blumat drip system these ladies are pretty much on autopilot from here. The Wonder Pie were showing signs of deficiencies so I added 2ml/L of liquid worm castings to see if it helps, also top-dressed diatomaceous earth to help get rid of the fungus gnats. Will top dress the powdered nutrients again in 1-2 weeks. Also foliar sprayed them with Sugar Candy Syrup to help with the deficiencies. I'll go with bigger plants next time because I think I won't get much from these smaller plants. Other than that, just waiting for them to do their thing and hopefully harvest in 5 weeks or so.

LST, HST and defoliated second time, Fimmed main 1x, fimmed all tops 14 days later, fimmed all resulting tops 3 weeks later. well over 100 tops and counting, removed all tiny branches off the mains. pre loli.. lol Ill let em up in a few days. should be well beyond the 20" circumference of the 20 gal pots. Gonn a flower 2 in the space , and 2 in my newly acquired 48x48x80 tent. Shopping a few Flowering beasts to put in for the next phase. Hey. I have done first scrog training day 5 of 12/12 light schedule. Looks good. Also, I added co2 box on the bottom of tent and use fan to move it around plants.

Day 49 - the plant stretch 8cm and morę buds formating, the plants start spreading nice smell and the buds should start getting bigger and fat in upcoming weeks.

This week didn't quite go as planned on autopilot. The main bonus is when I got back the Green Crack is shooting pistils out everywhere. This plant has really fought hard and gained it self some space, she is a bit tall but I'll just bend the branches 90deg. Pretty good week, no problems. Added a dehumidifier yesterday (Saturday). And also bought a new light. The light should arrive on Tuesday. Looking forward to that because then I’ll be able to spread them out further so they’ll all have as much room to grow as they need. I believe they’ve started flowering, that happened like day 24 when I first noticed the white hairs coming out of the bud sites. They really took off growing mid way through the week. Like twice the growth as the prior week. I haven’t been defoliating per se, I have been tucking & tying leaves down. Many of the secondary flowering nodes have actually surpassed the main cola’s of my plants height wise. Those that did I tied slightly back down. Really wish I could cut a few branches off them without stressing them out. Oh well. Such is the bane of autoflower growing. The new light I bought is a Colofrog 2021 CF 2400 LED w/Samsung LM301H Osram Diodes. From what I gathered online, it’s a better light than the Mars hydro tsw 2000 I currently own. I’ve got my ts 1000 in the tent currently just to get through until the new light comes Tuesday.
