Alright, new week, new update on the little lady! So, yeah, she was definitely outgrowing her little clay starter pot – you could even see the tiny roots peeking out the bottom, bless her heart! Today was the big moving day, and she's now settling in her forever home: a comfy 4-liter fabric pot. And wow, has she shot up! She's practically doubled in size and is at roughly 10cm now. And I'm seeing the very first signs of flowering! This one is definitely a fast one. For her soil, I made a nice mix of coco, clay pebbles, and some good organic potting soil – mixing always feels like a little spa day for her roots (and my hands). And to keep her strong, I'm feeding her with Plagron nutrients, which have always been super reliable for me. And THANK YOU to everyone who chimed in with advice last week. I'm thinking I might have overdone it with the intermediate clay pot. I'm used to growing feminized plants outside where they're a bit more forgiving with repotting stress. But with an auto, it's like they have their own little internal clock that starts ticking as soon as they sprout. That intermediate clay pot might have been an unnecessary step. Next time I grow an auto, she's going straight into her final pot! The silver lining is that I actually wanted to keep her on the smaller side, and it looks like she's obliging, so all in all, things are looking pretty good! 😊

Finally moved these two up into 7 gallon fabric pots. I didn’t want to let them go any longer in those little pots! Especially with the kind of year I’ve been having. Anyways, on that note, here is a video of those 3 photoperiods; one of each, an A-Train, an Alien Rock Candy, and Ackbar OG.

Heute ist Tag 28 und den Pflanzen geht es prima. Die MAC#1 hat zur Mimosa etwas aufgeholt und die Tropicana Cookies geht voll aus dem Rohr. Sie scheint schon deutlich weiter in der Entwicklung zu sein und ich bin gespannt, ob sie groß oder schnell fertig wird. Vielleicht ja sogar beides 😅 -------------- An Tag 32 musste ich entlauben, da ich die Triebe nicht einmal mehr von Hand an den Blättern vorbei bekommen habe, ohne etwas zu beschädigen. Dieses mal habe ich mich dazu entschieden, einmal recht radikal zu entlauben, anstatt wie bisher jeden Tag ein bisschen. Ich möchte mir dadurch Zeit und Arbeit sparen und hoffe, dass sie das gut verkraften. Bei der Mimosa bin ich mir da nicht so sicher, da die unter ihrem Blätterpanzer ziemlich klein geblieben ist. Die Äste sind aber sehr dick, also wird sie vermutlich jetzt 2 Tage schmollen und dann nochmal loslegen, hoffe ich jedenfalls 😅

Pre-Flowers On 13/04/2024, a gentle defoliation was carried out to clear away leaves that were obscuring younger bud sites. Having a lux meter has improved my grows so much. Knowing your DLI and where the hottest/coldest parts off your plants (ppfd wise) is just really the next step in adding that thing to your grow(s) that sets your next crop from your last. As I'm a long way from where I want to be. My next crop will focus on 2-3 plants. Doing 35 really is its too much work. Timing and moving plants around as there all at different stages. Like autos in pre fower will only take about 35-40dli before showing stress (drooping for ages after lights out or near the end of lights on) but, really you only see it about 20m after lights out. So its kinda of a ritual for me to check my girls after I put them to bed. Also doing 3-4 swaps and plant moves in and out of my dark room, or moving from the 70cm2 into my 1m2 (having a same spectrum of very close is a must if you're going to reg change lights/tents. As for this strain. She's really happy. Bit of wind burn you can see my 360degree ball fan is to powerful on its lowest setting. I'm thinking of putting something to break the wind on her. I did remove the 1st true leafs/nodes much later than I did with my 2 Fastbuds (that stalled for a wk) but they're back strong. And no early flip. Really only thing I can think of is the DLI and not stressing them day in day out with lights out has improved all my plants. (Lux meter id suggest any grower who wants to push their limits) Maintenance 1st True leafs/nodes removed to help energy move to the next more important sets. Very little to no feed.
