So this is the week I found out all about PPFD, PAR and LUX, basically all the basic info one needs to understand how lighting works. So I brought down the 300W LED I have down to 18cm from the plants since that's the spot where I get 1000 PPFD. Since I don't have a quantum meter to measure this directly, I instead measured the LUX output of the LED light with a free app on my phone and then converted the LUX to PPFD using an online converter. Also bought real nutes, more specifically the GHE Flora Duo 500ml tri-pack. As a result I also switched up the feeding schedule, so now I'm feeding them every three days, and doing water only every three feeds. A bit late in the process, but hey, first grow! 😅 Finally, the first amber thricomes are showing, yay! 😍

This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed technique. Rather than allowing a traditional vegetative period, every seed was placed directly under a 12-hour light / 12-hour dark schedule from germination. The goal is simple: To let every phenotype express its natural growth habit while comparing different genetics under identical conditions. Every plant shares: • The same environment • The same lighting • The same nutrients • The same climate • The same daily care The only real variable is genetics. Watching each plant respond differently despite receiving the exact same treatment is one of the most fascinating parts of this entire adventure. Purple Haze Pheno A is proving that beautifully. ⸻ 🌿 A Lady That Loves to Reach Standing at approximately 73 cm, she’s already among the tallest plants in the room. From the very beginning she showed a strong desire to grow vertically, but she’s doing so with remarkable balance. Long internodes. Healthy side branching. Excellent apical growth. Instead of producing a dense, squat structure, she’s developing the graceful architecture so often associated with classic Haze genetics. She has presence. She naturally draws your attention the moment you open the tent. ⸻ 🍃 Leaf Tucking Instead of Heavy Defoliation One of the techniques used throughout this week has been leaf tucking. Rather than removing healthy fan leaves, I’ve simply repositioned them beneath developing branches to expose lower growth sites to more light. It’s a gentle approach that allows the plant to keep all of her valuable solar panels while improving airflow and encouraging a more even canopy. Looking at her structure now, it’s already paying off. Multiple flowering sites are receiving direct light, and the entire plant has opened up beautifully without unnecessary stress. Sometimes the simplest techniques are the most effective. ⸻ 🌸 The First Signs of Flower Although we’re only considering this Week 1 of Flower, there’s no doubt she’s making the transition. Fresh pistils are appearing across the canopy. The tops are beginning to stack. New growth has taken on that unmistakable flowering appearance, with each growing tip preparing to become its own future cola. The real stretch is only beginning, and knowing Purple Haze genetics, she’s probably not finished reaching for the lights just yet. ⸻ 💧 Feeding for the Transition As flowering begins, nutrition has shifted to support the plant through this important stage while maintaining healthy, vigorous growth. Current feeding includes: • Terra Grow • Terra Bloom • Power Buds • pH adjustment for optimal nutrient uptake Rather than making sudden changes, the transition into bloom is gradual, allowing the plant to adapt smoothly while continuing to build both roots and flowers. The frostbanger really comes on strong towards the end of her cycle.Super dense and sticky buds that will make your mouth water just looking at them.I think I’ll just water one more time and let them dry out a bit before cutting the last 3 down.

White Widow: Part I – The Don Enters the World In a world of regular seeds, this one decided to make a paper towel method an offer I couldn't refuse. She has emerged from her shell strong, ready to take over the family business in a 21 liter air pot. We shall nurture this seedling like the apple of my eye, ensuring she receives RO water and the finest Canna nutrients to build an empire of roots.

Day 64 - Started off week 10 with 2 gallons of water and nutes today. I’ll be chopping my Cherry Cookies in about 2 weeks so she’ll have a little more room in the tent to stretch and get some light. She’s fine right now but a little cramped. Had a few of the lower leaves that were died off and just hanging on so removed them as well. Day 66 - Nothing much new going on today. Removed a few more dying fan leaves again. Gave her a bit more water than I normally do so she should be good for another couple days. She’s definitely budding up nicely and just waiting for her to really start frosting up. Day 67 - All looking good and coming along nicely. She’s budding up and just waiting for the frost to start. She’s gonna need some water and nutes tomorrow. Day 68 - Gave her 2 gallons of water and nutes today and she’s doing really well. Buds are forming nicely but still not seeing any trich development yet but I’m sure that’ll come soon enough. She is putting off a little bit of a smell right now and it’s almost like straight lemon. Not sure if that’s how this strain is supposed to smell but I’m liking it. She’ll have a bit more room to stretch out next weekend when I chop my Cherry Cookies. Day 69 - She’s still budding up nicely and hopefully this coming weekend she’ll be less constricted when I chop the Cherry Cookies. She’s drinking quite a bit and will probably need water and nutes again on Tuesday. Still not seeing much trich development so not sure what’s causing that but we’ll see what happens in the end. Day 70 - The end of week 10 today and looking through my jewelers loupe, I finally see some trichs starting to develop. So hopefully in the next week or so, I’ll be able to get a good smell coming from her. She’s going to be needing some water and nutes tomorrow.

Part of a multi strain grow of autos. I had a disaster mid grow and the plants ended up on water only for four weeks. Not the ideal for perfect plants. But they survived and I have some nice buds so I am grateful. This is ready to come down now. Obviously with no feed the buds are smaller than hoped but super frosty Very easy to grow, seed to weed in under nine weeks is amazing. Would recommend this strain. I will update with dry weight and harvest pics shortly. Thanks all. Not the diary I wanted but not all the time we can control life.
