Grow diary 11 Stage 4 Days 31-40 Day 31 Turned power up to 85% on the mars hydro ts1000. Mines one of the old ones you need to stick a screw driver in to alter it. Day 36 Removed the single finger fan leaves and the 1st 3 fingered leaves. Day 39 Removed the 4 fan leaves from where she was topped last week. The start of this stage we hit a heat wave, day after day of heat. I had my humidifier on most of the 9 days. The tent didn't hit the temps I thought it would so that means I have my loft under a bit better control. The plant really kicked into gear this week, around day 34 she started to explode in growth. So far I have only done some lite defoliation by removing some of the 1st leaves that weren't getting any light anymore. The Bruce banner was probably hit the most with over watering but is bouncing back. She is the ugly duckling of the grow. After 2 weeks I chose my favorite plant of the three and prepared her for the Autopot. Now she needs to root this pot for another 2 weeks before we can turn on the Aqua Valve and the tank. DLI 30

This is the 8th week. Thursday will be 9 weeks of 12/12. Some trichs are amber. They just added a good bunch of girth over the past few days, but most of the pistils are red now. The rest of them have been dropping leaves consistenly but the canopy remains full so they must be putting out more leaves. I just flushed to 80% runoff and found out that I had 1200ppm. I just got an ec meter but my last reading said closer to 600 so idk what happened there. I flushed until I had runoff ppm of about 150. Now they're back in the grow tent. I don't want to keep assaulting them with my microscope. I think they're ready. Just gonna let them settle another day or two to dry out a bit. I took one small branch off the small Wedding Cake plant on Thursday and I've just been watching it dry on my counter. It's been 5 days and the stem snaps but still leaves a fiber connecting. I put it into a small jar with a 64RH thing. I just want to try it. It already smells amazing. The leaves on the big CBD Blue Shark plant are going really yellow and some other colours are starting to come out as well. The buds all fattened up and got more frosty again. I was worried they were foxtailing but they got more calyxes underneath the peaks and have been making more of a pyramid shape. They're really close to peak. Harvest day will be March 17 or 18. March 17 1023pm chopped and hung after lights off all day. RH was 65% before I chopped and 50% after I closed the window and cut the plants off the saturated pots. I did a wet trim to prevent mold. The buds are sticky af. Gonna hang them to dry for 7-9 days before curing in jars :) March 18 : checked the RH when I woke up and it's chilling at 45% 😎 March 19 : just checked to see how they were drying. There are seeds in every plant. RIP I'll update when I put them in jars and again a few weeks later for final review. Overall it was a good grow despite the rocky start and a good introduction to the mainline technique and my new grow space. Next grow I should have everything pretty well dialed in. March 23 They were hanging for 3 days. Rh was around 45, then spiked to 65 overnight when I forgot to turn the fans back on. Temp was high at around 26.they felt wet after 2 days, and bone dry after 4 days. The stems still didn't snap but I put them in jars anyway. A day later, jar RH was 50%. I burped all the jars and there was a smell from the new jars. I took all the weed out, washed out the jars, and did a dry trim on the weed. One of the Wedding Cake plants must have gone hermie. I didn't see any bananas and didn't even realize there were seeds until the very end. The seed pods looked just like calyxes while the plants were growing. Many of the nugs are unusable. Under the sugar leaves are just layers and layers of seeds. Some weren't hit that badly. The CBD Blue Shark is much better off but still has some seeds. I'm trying to stay positive. It's a bit of a shock though. I'm anxious to try the finished product. If the flowers at least taste good and have a good effect, all is not lost.

This week I transplanted directly into a 5 gallon pot. It looks like there was a little stress after transplanting. It went from a nice green to a yellowish green. This one also started stretching so I lowered the light. Im going to add aminos this week and hope it can bounce back nicely.

Finally everything harvested. We had terribly high humidity combined with warm temperatures, which is why I harvested the top of the plant about 5 days earlier and let the flowers at the bottom ripen a little more. I will update as soon as it is completely dried with a smoke report and dry yield

High temperatures, high transpiration, high turgor pressure, and lots of cell elongation. Cannabis plants can sense and respond to their surroundings. They don't have brains like humans, but they have evolved sophisticated ways to perceive and react to various environmental cues, including light, gravity, touch, water, sound, and even the presence of other plants. This ability, known as plant perception, allows them to adjust their growth, defend themselves, and even communicate with each other. Infrared light, particularly near-infrared (NIR), can influence plant growth and development by impacting various processes including initiation and elongation. UVB radiation inhibits stem and hypocotyl elongation in plants. Moderate UV-B exposure can cause a decrease in stem and leaf elongation, leading to a more compact plant architecture. Higher UV-B intensities, like 7.5 kJ·m−2, can lead to reduced elongation. So it becomes a dance of initiating a stretch to seek to higher ppfd, then whenever you want the stretching to slow down,UVB inhibits the stretch by altering hormone balance,, coupled with the high-intensity dli once you get her to a height where you want. Being autos I don't have much time to play around. So we are playing fast and loose, get stretched, and then spread her open. You get the idea. 86F 30% RH with the lower side of optimal on ppfd, with a smudgering of infra-red to initiate response of making her stretch more so than normal. Once she sprouts up in height, I drop metrics to 77F 55%RH% while upping the ppfd, giving her a dash of extra 430nm, giving the grow more of a 6000K. This encourages denser growth with less elongation. Higher side of optimal PPFD, with the auxin hormone balance changed, the side stems are starting to shoot up to the same canopy level as the apex (almost). Normally takes me 2 untrained toppings before a plant will flatten its canopy. I didn't take enough off the apex to do it in one chop, it was only day 10, so there really wasn't much to top from without creating unpredictable results using fim, opted just to keep it to a clean topping. Even predictability over the Chaos of the"Fim". Brainfart: Remember, the veg stage creates the skeleton that will stretch out into flowers. How dense you create the skeleton through light intensity will determine the density of your clusters as they form cola, as long as you can keep up with the demands. Increasing light intensity generally leads to plants having shorter internodal spacing, meaning the distance between nodes (where leaves grow) on a stem is reduced. This effect is particularly noticeable under LED grow lights, with great stress comes great dense clusters. Hello, temperature, my old friend! Goodbye, money on AC. These cali genetics are blowing my mind 🤯 super sticky, very frosty rock dence buds with extra strong smells. All 3 strains are 10 out of 10, very impressed. Done last defoliation few days ago, preparing for the harvest so it's much easier. Stalks are super fat, same as buds. Got big surprise from Atami, plant food, and many extras. Crazy. Las plantas están bastante bien subió algo la temperatura esta semana pero por el momento no les afectó, a ver si consigo bajar un poco la temperatura estas próximas semanas y acabamos todo bien. Me pasé de mano con la comida pero solucionaré con agua destilada en un riego. Estas próximas semanas veremos como avanzan y como engordan las flores. So far the floraflex potpro system has been paying off! My time in the garden went from 90 minutes to 15 minutes and the results speak for themselves. Since theyre all still in veg im expecting some big girls. Tried to hop on the no calmag schedule but some didnt take to well to it. So i dropped my dosage back to 3gr per gal of B1 and B2. New growth looks nice and healthy on the affected plant so i might start raising the dosage

Day 49! Starting to give her just plain water for 2 weeks of flushing. Getting really excited to harvest and then get going on another grow. See you next week.

Very boring but very good week lots of stretching. got a new hood wi th cool tube it's huge 3x3 and my tent is 4x4 I love it will make a second video to show it off. Today I will feed with gaia green bloom ,bat guano and a small amount of worm castings as she lpves her nitrogen and dont want her to fade early. Blimburn seeds are great so far growing GDP by them as well both r fast growing and very forgiving. With the new cool tube i can keep my tent closed now without overheating tent stays between 70-72 degrees now getting all of the light none wasted can't wait for next week's update as I was able to drop the light a foot closer to my plants so growth should be big your gonna wanna see this guys. It's my second grow ever and I'm getting better at growing everyday thanks to everyone's diaries I'm reading so ty everyone and ty to the genius who came up with this web site

9/26 This fucking sucks. Site won't let me upload pictures. Flood warning in effect. I believe this is the fifth day of rain. Not trickles. Sheet rain and high winds. My dream catchers have been taking this like a champ. Ice cream cake was totally sideways for awhile despite vertical trellis. I came down this morning to branches bent at 90° angles. I could've taken them but if I make it through this rain today it's supposed to stop tonight. Then I'll have a week of good weather. Buds are exploding. Even the ice cream cake. That will need more time but I'm getting close with the others. They are never out of sight. I'm surprised they've held up so well so far. I made my decision it would be stupid to alter it now, seeing how the storm is ending. I was going to spray k bicarb but I'll wait until after this rain.UPDATE: Went back over and the garden was flooded. I needed to put one grow bag on top of another as one plant was in six inches of water. I drained it and added supports and pulled off any dead leaves. I tried taking a video but it was raining so hard it stopped after 7 secs. Luckily my dreamcatchers are strong AF. Took to little ones and put them under the barn under a light. It's FINALLY stopped raining. After I smoke I gotta go back over and shake buds again and check for rot. Luckily nothing was broken but it was hanging right down. Fucking sucks. Spent like two hours in sheet rain. UPDATE: Stopped raining. I went over and continued to defoliate and cut little bits of rot from the interior. Sprayed a gallon of potassium bicarbonate and dawn on ever spot of rot I could find. I've been to the patch multiple times today. Found a few earwigs. I think I've found my problem. Late stage leaf septoria with earwigs eating the rotting plant matter. Fucking sucks but at least I have an idea. Can't upload pics and phone wouldn't even work in the rain. One 7 second video. 9/27 The extra work I've been putting in has certainly helped. I got in touch with a company who will do any type of extraction I want for $200 a lb. Fucking awesome. My cousin got 250 grams love rosin last year with this same company. I am sore. I checked trichs but I'm not seeing much Amber yet. Buds are gaining density fast. At least now that I have an idea what my problem is I can address it. Plants showed signs of pm after drying out. I did a k bicarb spray and this morning there isn't a spot. I need to take care of what's hanging so that's the plan today. 9/28 I think I made the right decision.my plants are looking good. Not where I want them but it's getting close. I checked the trichs this morning. Under 24 hour surveillance till harvest. Well it has been but now I stay up every nigh watching the cctv. Went down in the middle of the night to check for nocturnal bugs. Didn't find any. I've been defoliating the yellow septoria leaves. I went through every plant and cut out any rot and removed andy sugar leaves that started to turn brown. This and the k bicarb seem to help. I think that Leaf septoria has dwarfed the growth of the smaller dream catcher. Buds don't seem to be growing much more. Even my ICC has buds almost the size of the little one. The other dreamcatcher will probably be an elbow plant. The ice cream cake has beefed up incredibly and is covered in trich's. I'm super excited but I'm cautious at the same time. I hate that fucking dog but it's an added layer of security. Soon I'll do the harvest report for DJ short blueberry. 9/29 Trich's are changing fast. Haven't been watering lately do to all the rain. Plants are real real close. Up all night watching. Dog flipped out at 4am but no one was there. I want to wait until I have a little more Amber but I'm super excited. I may end up taking some tops. May end up doing a k bicarb spray today. Haven't decided yet. I'll update as I go. I've been making head way trimming the blueberry. 9/30. Things are looking beautiful. The smell at the garden is amazing. Lots of hard work left. Plants do have septoria and slight pm so I may do a bud wash. I cut a branch from each plant. I think I'm at the point of diminishing returns. Every wet night mold and critters take more and the chances of some idiot coming to try and take my shit increases. I may end up harvesting a little earlier. I'd lie to wait but the trichs look pretty good to me. Still doing all the maintenance required. I am extremely proud of this grow. I fought everything this year. Started with mites and thrips. Powder mildew came with them too. Now I've faced every pest or disease this year. At least it seems that way.
