A heavy defoliation on F1 opened up some tops to the light. There has been a massive growback in just 3.5 days of flower, as well as a massive stretch. I have all the headroom in the world, so I will let these maximize. All healthy, no spots or bugs, so these are just booming. They will get a final heavy defoliation on F21, and then maintenance plucking to maximize cola exposure.

I've been doing some light defoliation where leaves were overshadowing other shoots. She's showing a clear preference for a pH below 6. Anytime it creeps above that, the plant begins to experience nutrient lockout. I'm keeping a close eye on this and will adjust the pH as necessary. She's starting to fade out now, and budding up nicely. Not seeing much purple coming through yet. She's getting nice and fat and smelly now. Trying out a macro lens thingy.

Hello growmies! Welcome to week six of An Epsilon Adventure! Massive thanks to both Shogun and Royal Queen Seeds for sponsoring this grow! So here we are at week six and every one of these girls are at a slightly different stage, it is quite fascinating to watch them develop one after the other. Today I made the last adjustment to the light possible. I removed the adjustable hangers and affixed a carabiner which I tightly tied to the top of the tent bar. There is about 1.5 inches of space between the top of the shade and the tallest part of the roof of the tent. Plant 1 is already taller than this, and it looks like plant 6 and maybe even plant 5 are going to join it. It's a madness. I am sure you have already looked at the photos but just in case you do what I do and read the diary first... Here is my assessment at the beginning of week 6: Plant 1: Height: 1st (137cm) - what can I say about this ridiculous plant? Day 36... 137cm tall. I have had to raise the light to as high as it is physically possibly to raise it and it's still not high enough. She is done stretching now, she may add 3-5cm over the next week or so but I don't expect more than that, so her top of her main cola going to have to develop above the level of the light. Nothing I can really do, nothing wise anyway. What a monster plant. Maturation: 4th - early into flower - bud sites developing, pistils just starting to explode. Plant 2: Height: 4th (111cm) - this plant has been there or there abouts as the tallest plant for most of the grow, but she has topped out at 111cm. She will gain some during flower but not much more than a few centimetres. Very impressive plant, loads of bud sites, really big strong secondary branches. This one is going to be colas galore. Maturation: 3rd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 3: Height: 6th (95cm) For some brief days the tallest plant in the room, she peaked early and is now the "shortest" at "only" 95cm for this "50-70cm" strain. She is utterly dwarfed by four of her five sisters in just about every department, being quite a bit smaller even than plant 4 (although I have removed the most lower nodes from this plant). Compared with her sisters she is almost a runt... except that she is 25cm taller than the strain top-end average and matches the maximal height of the previous tallest Epsilon F1 plant I am aware of. It's not that she is small, actually she's pretty big for an Epsilon F1, it's just that the rest of the girls are on another level altogether. Plants 1, 5 and 6 are all absolute beasts. Maturation: 1st - well into flower - first shades of brown in some pistils. Plant 4: Height: 5th (98cm) although only 3cm taller than plant 3, overall she is a much larger plant. Her secondary nodes are the same height as plant 3. Maturation: 2nd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 5: Height: 3rd (113cm) - one of the two thick/short girls who have grown at a similar pace all along - she is further ahead than plant 6 but not by much and I think she will probably exceed 120cm this week, though I do not think she will outgrow plant 1 or 6. Maturation: 5th - early into flower - bud sites developing. Plant 6: Height: 2nd (120cm) - my predictions were correct about this girl and her continued growth. I now think she might actually outgrow plant 1, which is quite worrying. Maturation: 6th - early into flower - bud sites forming - by far the least mature plant of the six. ### Week 6 Day 2 23:00 30/7 Photographed. Raised the light. Rotated the plants. Inspected, measured and reported on each plant. ### Week 6 Day 3 23:00 31/7 It has not escaped my attention that the plants that are more advanced into flower have darkened and have some burnt tips. Hello growers day 35 with the crystal candy and the red poison the lady’s are loving life at the moment nothing bad to report just been making sure there feed and that’s it all the plants have put a bit of stretch on but it’s all good I have bud sites every where I love it 3 of the red poison have proper red colour on them 1 of them is green as normal the 4 crystal candy’s are all sweet until next week be safe and happy growing ✌️

The start of Week 8 called for drastic measures, and the results are setting the stage for explosive bud production. **Key Updates**: - **Aggressive Defoliation**: On Day 1 of the third flower week, the plants underwent a *brutal* defoliation. Every bud site that had started to develop its own leaves was stripped of its fan leaves, allowing light to flood the canopy. Even the smallest sites now have excellent exposure, giving them the best chance to mature into chunky nugs in the coming weeks. Despite the intensity of the trim, the plants are resilient and primed to bounce back strong. - **Boosted Nutrients**: To support the plants after the stress of defoliation, I added another 5-6g of Greenhouse Feeding Bloom per plant. This ensures the soil stays nutrient-rich and gives the plants the resources they need to recover and thrive. - **Watering**: Still rocking reverse osmosis (RO) water, ensuring clean and efficient hydration without any surprises. **Observations**: - The canopy is significantly cleaner and more open, with light now reaching deeper into the lower sections. - The plants are handling the defoliation well, with no immediate signs of stress or shock. - Bud sites are already looking promising, with visible development and an even distribution across the canopy. **Looking Ahead**: The next few weeks will be all about letting the plants recover and watching the buds stack up. With improved light penetration and a fresh dose of nutrients, everything is lined up for some impressive development. The Donutz are thriving, and the Florida Gang vibes are at an all-time high — the tent is set to deliver big!

Lol I’m Experimenting Trying To Create My Own Foliation Spray And Nutrient Additive To Go With A Base Nutrient And It Seems To Be Working. Room is still yellowing quite a bit prematurely. I’m going to feed once more and adjust ph back to 6-7. I’m starting to cut my RO water with filtered tap water at 1:5 ratio, to stabilize the ph a little more and to see if the tap water can help with deficiencies I’ve been seeing. I have heard that it’s not good to add calmag in mid flower and I really don’t want to mess with heavy metals that could affect the way the plant smokes. The powdery mildew has come back. It is only affecting the cheese, slurricane and black garlic #2. All three of these plants are in the same corner so it must be something I’m doing environmentally. That’s the coldest part of the tent so maybe the added fans are letting it get too cold. The small fan I added is probably unnecessary and I might move it to my veg tent. If the powdery mildew keeps getting worse, I’m just going to let it ride out and then wash the final product. I should have trained and topped these in veg a lot better but I got lazy and didn’t want to.

good plants for hydro grows they dont stretch too much, buds need support because of the weight at the end. i run in a little calmag issue because i went overboard with the bloombooster around week 5. this caused a lockout top leaves got effected by this other then that i had a huge yield.

Blue Dream 1 started showing lots of rust spots and yellowing on leaves so I added more CalMag+ Iron to the reservoir believing the symptoms to be a deficiency in CalMag. Blue Dream 3 also still showing signs of CalMag deficiency.

Aquí tenemos la cabeza mas grande de todos los ejemplares. Son plantas que también sacan ramas laterales no muy grandes pero son curiosas. Seguiremos dando productos por lo menos una semana más y los riegos incluyen PK 0-49-32 como aporte suplementario.
