Temps and humidity remained stable at 81-83f and between 70-78% humidity. Both are performing extremely well. Lsd 25 is the largest of all the plants and is extremely vigorous. Healthy green growth. They're both up to 700 ppm. The zkittles on the other hand, I suspect is the closest to the fan, which is blowing directly on her and that would obviously impact leaf surface temps which is the reason its leaves actually grow a little deficient but one the leaf is full size it gets healthy! Weird but its likely true. Anyways blasting on to week 4. Stay tuned folks!

420 Fastbuds Week 8 Gorilla Zkittlez Auto Happy late Thanksgiving to everyone. This weekly update was a great one. Went away on a camping trip so was a little afraid to what I'd come back to. Came back to a couple beautiful looking girls. They seem like the flower sites have swelled up pretty good and the smell they give off is absolutely out of this world. The flowers are rock hard to the touch and leave your fingers sticky as all get out. All in all Happy Growing

Flowering week 2 begins for Super Lemon Haze. She grew about two inches in height, a little bit of stretching and her foliage filled in nicely from last week's defoliation. Hopefully this week we will see some more stretch and bud sites developing. Thanks for checking out my grow 👽🌳

Quick recap — seed to now (for anyone joining late) • 🌱 12/12 from seed • LSD genetics showing consistency and vigor • Early structure set without aggressive training • Environment prioritized over chasing charts • Feed increased gradually, never pushed • Plants transitioned naturally into flower • Defoliation timed after structure was established, not before This is calm, intentional growing. No panic moves. Why we changed nothing (and why that’s not doing nothing) Your room conditions: • 🌡️ Day temp: ~28 °C • 💧 RH: ~65% • ⚡ EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 • 📏 Height: ~40–80 cm • 💡 LED lighting On paper, some growers would panic at 28 °C in flower. But here’s the key difference between growing by numbers and growing by understanding: Under LED, leaf temperature ≠ room temperature. LEDs don’t radiate infrared heat like HPS. So while the wall sensor says 28 °C, the leaf surface is usually 2–4 °C cooler. And the plant does not “feel” the room — it feels its own leaf temperature. That’s where leaf VPD comes in. ⸻ Leaf VPD — the part most people skip VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) is simply the difference between how much moisture the air can hold and how much it actually holds. But here’s the nuance most charts miss: • Room VPD is calculated with room temp • Leaf VPD is calculated with leaf temp So if: • Room = 28 °C • Leaf = ~24–26 °C • RH = 65% 👉 our leaf VPD lands right in the comfort zone for early–mid flower. And the plants are confirming that with their behavior: • Deep, relaxed green • No tacoing, no praying too hard • Internodes strong and structured • Uniform nutrient uptake across phenotypes That’s the real data. We’re not ignoring numbers We’re letting the plant be the final authority. Stability here beats “fixing” something that isn’t broken. ⸻ Defoliation — why this time was heavier Let’s be very clear: This was not aesthetic defoliation. This was functional defoliation. Context matters: • 🏠 8×8 room • 🌱 ~27 plants • 🌬️ Airflow, light penetration, humidity pockets all scale differently Sometimes a single plant wouldn’t “ask” for leaves to be removed — but the room does. Why you defoliated: • Improve airflow through a dense canopy • Reduce micro-humidity pockets • Allow photons to travel deeper, not just hit the roof • Reset apical dominance and refocus energy on flowering sites Yes — i went harder than originally planned. But: • Genetics are strong • Plants are healthy • Root zone is dialed • Feed is stable Healthy plants recover fast. Stressed plants don’t. These girls are the first category. And importantly: we didn’t stack stress. No feed change. No environment change. No light shock. That’s how we “go hard” safely. What to expect next week (and what not to expect) Expect: • Slight pause as plants redirect energy • Fresh flower site definition • Upright posture returning after defoliation • Strong tops responding to improved light access Do NOT expect: • Explosive vertical stretch (that window is closing) • Deficiency symptoms (unless something external changes) • Need for immediate correction Next week is observation week again. Hands in pockets. Eyes open. ⸻ Gratitude — because this matters Let’s say it properly: • Thank you to GD for the platform • Thank you to the GD community • Thank you to the Discord family • Thank you to the OGs, the new faces, the quiet readers • Thank you to the lovers and the haters — both keep the wheel turning • Thank you to the sponsors, past and present • Thank you to everyone who believes growing can be calm, thoughtful, and honest This is a special report — because it’s not about hype. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. Day 42 — FLO | Mixed SCROG (120×80) Box smells unreal — sticky as hell. Buds are packing weight and the trichs are starting to turn milky in spots, but most are still crystal-clear so I’m letting them cook a bit longer. Canopy is fat, structure solid; loads of resin on every cola — fingers already gluey from checking. Night temps and RH still a pain (cold garage), so I’m watching for any mold hotspots and keeping airflow moving. Overall super happy with how this mixed run turned out so far. Quick state: Lights: 400W HPS + 300W LED (4000K) — plenty of punch. Media: 20 L smart pots, BioBizz soil + myco, organic feeds (BioBloom, TopMax, Green Sensation). Training: SCROG, LST/HST done, minimal tweaks now — mostly letting the flowers fatten. Trichomes: pockets of milky, majority still clear — not chop-ready yet, keep peeping with scope every 2–3 days. Plant-by-plant notes (position → short ID + what I see) Back-left — Wedding Cake (Portland) Very frosty, main colas are dense and sugary. Pistils starting to darken a bit, buds showing early signs of swelling. Trichome coverage is heavy — this one will likely be a resin monster. Watch for the classic sweet/creamy aroma to deepen. Back-center — Kush Crasher Properly turning purple and looking gorgeous. Leaves are showing that cool kush coloration and the colas are chunky and stout. Very sticky, strong nose developing (earthy / diesel kush). Keep temps stable so the purple stays and you don’t stress it too hard. Back-right — AK-47 Shorter, compact nodes but stacking nice little cola clusters. Classic AK structure — not the frostiest but reliable bud density and a punchy terp profile expected. Nice even development under the HPS. Front-left — Double Krush Buds forming tight clusters — a little leaner than the gassier strains but foxtailing less and stacking nicely. Shows vigour and is filling in under the canopy. Good candidate for chunky colas if you let it finish a touch longer. Front-center — Wappa Main cola is a beast — this one’s the show-stealer for bulk. Fat, chunky top cola, already showing awesome density and slight color shift. Expect a heavy, compact cola at chop. Loving how the Wappa is responding to your SCROG. Front-right — Detroit Runtz Longer, slightly looser colas compared to the others but super resinous. Shows those fruity/runts vibes — buds are coating in trichomes and the structure looks promising for aroma/density trade-off. Might finish a touch sooner or later depending on phenotype, keep an eye on the trichs. What I’d do next (short checklist): Keep scope-checking trichs — pockets of milk = start of the final swell. Most still clear → not ready yet. Hold off major defol or HST now; only small tidy-up if airflow spot is tight. Watch RH closely at night — lower if I can (dehumidifier or heater + intake trick). Mold is the enemy at this point. Last heavy feed flush plan: stay conservative — these look on the edge of finishing, so taper nutrients as trichs go 30–50% milky and pistils darken.

So my timelapse concentrated at this plant failed this week... 😭 But she's growing well. On the face of it she's only grown 10mm, but she's put out quite a bit of new leaf growth.

--------------------------- The plant has had a growth spurt in height. The pH value is now constant at 5.5 and I have added more fertilizer. I think the EC value is a little too high at 2.3, but I'm not doing anything about that. The other plants in the tower are thriving.
