Hey everyone! It’s been another fabulous week of the girls fattening up getting ready for the ever looming harvest time! The colas are huge and glistening like a glitter ball! The back right girl has been on flush since day 51, 2 more went on flush on day 53, and the final girl front right went on flush today, day 56! Over the week I gave 3 girls a really heavy defoliation taking the majority of fan leaves off to allow good airflow and try fattening up those lower buds. It’s still impossible to tell if I prefer defoliation or not but we are getting close to harvest so should have a definitive answer to that soon! The back right girl has had absolutely no defoliation or trimming through her life cycle. I still regularly think back to when we broke one of the girls and transplanted, the cannabis gods were on our side warning us 4 girls will be huge, we were very lucky or would be seriously short of space as of now. As the girls are going to be harvested at slightly different times to ensure each are at their optimum, I have had to construct a dry box. How I built my smell free DIY dry box: Take a large cardboard box, cut an extraction hole in the top at one end and mount some ducting and seal the gap around the edge. Cut a flap in the opposite end at the bottom which will be the passive intake and promoting a draft through the hanging buds. Poke some holes in each end of the box using a screwdriver and thread some thin rope or string through the box tying the ends together once finished to give you sturdy locations to hang some pegs from. Finally I attached an extra bit of card on one of the flaps at the top; this overlaps the slight gap in the top between the flaps that could allow light to enter. Once completed I put the ducting into one of the lower intakes of the tent; the negative pressure in the tent then uses the air in the dry box as a passive intake creating a smell free area to dry your cannabis outside of your grow tent. This also keeps a slight breeze flowing through the box to ensure even drying. I'm considering taking cuttings but I only have one grow tent and I'm not sure I can keep the cuttings until my tent is ready to accommodate them. 🤔 I'm doing a little defoliation this week and I'll continue for the weeks to come. This alien bear is amazing just covered in pistols and starting to smell so good. Starting the show some frosting on her leaves. Been feeding her every 2-3 days, seems to be enjoying it no signs of nutrition burn. By the time the pot feels light enough for a feeding you can usually tell in the leaves, she doesnt look as happy as after fed. Had a few bug fan leaves dying off, was thinking they werent getting enough light so have been rotating the pot every day. Moved my overhead fan down so now bows from the side to keep all her dancing maybe get light back penetrating through. Hope you enjoyed this week more to come!

Finally the Sour Strawberry started catching up! It seemed to have some sort of mutation where it topped itself and also rotated while growing. In the timelapse you can see the entire plant rotates about 90° over the course of the week. Sadly the other 3 plants kept throwing new issues at me and were at very different heights, all while the Sour Strawberry was tiny. Bending them had little effect and I did not actually want to super crop them just yet. I had to put in a net.

Received TWO 5packs of rhino Ryder as freebies. Gonna grow these outdoors and see how they do. Gonna take advantage of socal sunshine. Only 4 out 5 sprouted. It’s old beans I think. So that’s a good pop rate. I think.

As most seam to have a very tight growth pattern I honestly think they're going to be monsterous tower's in the coming weeks. with that in mind I gave everyone a good leg shave to increase those chances. Also The Frist trellis is up ! after talking with Katsu about how much he thinks this particular strain may stretch.. i've decided to hang 2 lines of support across these girls. this first being right as we move into FLOWER ! teh second line will go up one the stretch stops..(week3-4 maybe we will see) With that being said, after a slight flush @6.6ph Water, & 24 Hours of darkness happening as I type this entry.. They will receive their first Flower Feeding in the Morning! & the next entry will be our first week of flower ! It is always a blast working from a pack of Reg Seed, let alone an Exciting project like these Katsu beans ! and as we move into flower next week I've taken cuts that I'm hopeful will ensure I have the BEST of the Best Flowers from this run to keep for another run at least.. and maybe even outdoor 2021. June 7: Tropicana Cookies is growing quickly after the late start. Should be a good strong plant. June 9: warm today and she’s ready for the first topping to build the manifold. See video. Tip: spray hose water on the leaves to compensate for the low relative humidity during the daytime. Plants grow much better in the dry air when their leaves get wet. Maybe a couple times a day. Makes a big difference. June 10: wildfire smoke is back but not as bad as in 2023. At least not here, and not yet. Tropicana Cookies FF growing fast after being topped yesterday. This is going to be a very good plant, I’m sure.

Not 100% sure when week 1 pics were supposed to start but all these pics were taken in the morning and this evening is 1 week since the first 2 seeds went in (P1,P2) Tomorrow morning is a week since the second 2 seeds went in (P3,P4) Seed 5 unfortunately didn’t pull thru 😢 And we have a Mutant! P3 the 3 leafed Monster 👽 (at least i hope she will be)

------------------------- | BLUEBERRY HARVEST | ------------------------- After two sunny days it is harvest time !! - Finally, 16 days of flush - At first thought, the trimming would be easier compared to my previous plants, but when removing more leaves, more buds appearing too hahaha so it took like 4 hours or more..It is not the most accuurate trimming but i had not much time that day, i removed all the leaves and branches after weighting it all.. Like i said on the last post, im harvesting having in mind my bud preferences (the later the better), weather, humidity and sunlight, so the first of the cloudy/rainy days she was chopped in the moring, attending the principle of thc regeneration at night.. Got to say that, i wasnt expecting such production (8 days until it was well dried), this plant started as the season saver because the Cheese started to flower in march, revegged etc.. and i have been rewarded with this BB, a true genetic portent !! If i could, i would keep her as mother forever ^^ The quality is awesome, she looks more like a WW talking about that coat of thc.. Flavour without proper cure, is deep earthy at first, transitioning to a fruity, sweet one, it is a pleasure to smoke, delicious sweet aftertaste..
